Not a great idea to increase the price of the most wanted items like persian pizza, so quickly.

Great experience at Bistro Kabob. Fantastic portions. The koobideh wasn't the best I had as it looked pale and lacked meat/onion ratio. Also the rice was decent, but nothing to write home about.

All in all, this is a great place if you're looking for a massive plate of decently authentic Persian food in a clean atmosphere.

Aggressive and unwelcome place. They treat you badly and you don't want to eat there for your karma and dignity's. Besides the place is dirty.

Kid-friendliness: Not kids friendly at all

Hygiene in the kitchen is forbidden. I recommend wearing an apron and not using your T-shirt as a towel to wipe your hands. Also, I recommend for the chef to stop touching his face and ears while preparing food. Very gross.

Came right before closing, they screwed up my order as we ordered two dishes and she put it in as one plus ala carte. By the time it came and we ate it was already closing time. To the staffs credit they did try to accommodate us by giving us extra rice. The food was good, but the experience soured it for us. Guess the lesson is don't come here near closing time!

I placed an order through DoorDash on Nov 10th. The side salads for each plate I ordered (3 total) had mold on the tomatoes and , cucumbers. I submitted photos to DoorDash and got my refund but I still contacted the store immediately to let them know about the quality of the salads. I was asked to send pictures and my information to a cell number which I did and until this day I’ve not heard back from this restaurant. Very disappointed!
I’m not sure if I’ll be coming back to be honest.

Ordered some ghormeh sabzi for the first time and didn’t come with enough rice, had to pay extra $4 to order more rice. Won’t go there again.

Used to be a great place to order my regular dinner.

However, recently, when ordering and paying online from their official site on pick up they demand for an additional amount (another $17). I will not repeat, and I would advise against ordering online.

I placed an order on through their mobile app. I prepaid whatever the app asked me to pay which is $46 for 1 combo plant+a skewer. When I went to pick it up, they said I underpaid and the total should be $62! This is FRAUD! I will spread the words and tell everyone I know to not go to this place ever again!

Bistro Kabob in Carlsbad on Palomar Road is a fantastic restaurant for Mediterranean cuisine. We had Bistro Chicken Salad and Beef wrap. You order your food before sitting. We chose to sit outside on their cozy patio. Food was delicious and service was fast. We had a chance to meet the friendly owner and he gave us a complimentary plate of hummus with pita bread made in house.

We've been in Carlsbad for the past week and felt like every restaurant was overpriced with meager portions until we found Bistro Kabob on our last day. I got the salmon wrap which was so fresh and delicious, it was the best meal we've had and are now sad we are leaving. Before this we felt like we were getting fleeced everywhere we went, salads for 25 bucks and the like. So glad we found Bistro Kabob! Next time we won't mess around with all the other places and will come straight here. Thanks again for a great meal. Eating in Carlsbad has been redeemed.

I’ve been here twice because I really like the Ghormeh Sabzi. Their house salad, yogurt, and pita are really tasty, too, and I love that it’s included in the order. Their to-go packaging is great. I love their Bakhlava!! I got the small one ($2.50) that is at the cashier desk.

My only complaint is that the Chicken Koobideh’s spices are not traditional Persian spices. It doesn’t taste like Persian Kabob and is a bit too salty. It almost tasted like the seasoning that would be in an Italian sausage. The Beef Koobideh’s flavor tasted a bit more Persian, but had a lamb taste/smell. Maybe they accidentally gave me lamb. I’m not sure.

Long story short— I recommend this resturaunt. But if you want Persian-tasting Koobideh, I’d recommend somewhere else.

Lots of awesome things I hadn't tried before. The persian rice specialties were excellent.
