First time to this establishment and I enjoyed it. Took a business client who lived in the area who also never to been to Ponto Lago. He mentioned that he will return with his wife next time.
If you are planning on celebrating a special occasion such as anniversary, spouse's birthday, family reunion or anything of that sort to get an intimate and authentic experience, I highly recommend this place. Everything about this place is top of the line - ambience, staff professionalism, food quality and serving size, preparation and presentation, accommodations for your comfort and preferences, valet, feeling special.. I will definitely go back for another future event.
We enjoy going to Ponto Lago. The service is impeccable and the food is on point. This time we noticed that the drink prices have increased and tasting flights have exponentially increased. Additionally, we had a birthday celebration and no complimentary dessert was brought. Very chintzy for $100+ pp meal to not end on a high note. Rethinking this option as a go to local spot.
Amazing experience. We did the chef's corner and I won't name all the names but we had so many people help us great food service atmosphere value and of course the environment is awesome.
I love to take my clients out to dinner and Ponto Lago is my favorite place to have a business dinner.
The restaurant was almost completely empty and we were a little early, but were told we would have to wait to be seated. Service was good but food was just ok. Menu was hard to understand. Doubtful we would go back or recommend to anyone.
Not what we expected. We didn't realize the restaurant was the main dining Park Hyatt hotel. No ambiance. It was clear the chef did a good job working with what he had and the presentation was good. Very family oriented, i.e., read lots of children. Not the place for a romantic dinner or the older generation to enjoy fine dining in a muted environment.
Always a good evening at Ponto Lago. The service is top notch (shout out to Devin for taking exceptional care of us) and the seafood options are superb. The whole snapper was under-seasoned, but beautifully cooked and presented. I love their vegetable options as well but was too full last time to order any! Next time...

Celebrated a friend's birthday last night at Ponto Lago. We had an amazing time. Ordered some fruity mocktails and then we shared appetizers--they were all great. Especially the lobster taco! Best ever and loaded with lobster...definitely get an extra tortilla as you'll need it. The grilled octopus was wonderful as was the ceviche and summer squash. We paced ourselves because the jewel of the night was yet to come. The best churros ever! They recently changed the dipping sauces from chocolate and berry to caramel and apricot. But we talked them into bringing us some chocolate sauce and had a trio of dipping sauces. Heaven!!! The servers were fabulous and attentive. We sat outside where it was quiet and beautiful. Splendid night indeed.

The service here was top notch along with food and presentation of the food. Polite and attentive service. This is an amazing restaurant. Kudos to chefs and all staff.
A dreamy coastal date-night kind of spot where the oysters are fresh, the chardonnay is Cakebread, and the seafood is as gorgeous as it is flavorful. The ceviche could’ve used more chips (and a bowl, please!), but the smoky crudo and grilled octopus more than made up for it. Finished with warm churro rolls and dipping sauces that felt like a hug. Fancy without being stuffy. I’ll be back—with a date or a dinner-worthy client.

Great for breakfast buffet! Absolutely delicious!
Food was 5 stars. Service was one star by the primary waiter, and 2-3 by his second. Main server came 3 times the whole night. Took the app order, waited until they were completely done before coming back and then we did the main order and never came to our table the entire time dinner was on the table until it had been cleared. No one made sure water cups were full. Had to ask after 10-15 minutes after being empty. Didn’t remove empty dishes or empty cocktail glasses for quite some time, or until asked. Had to ask multiple times for table to be wiped or water filled before getting it. Empty tables directly to the right and left of us were dirty from before we sat down to after we left. Ordered drinks before main entree (from a guy we flagged down), one came out in the middle, the other after the main was fully eaten. Would return for the food, hoping the service gets fixed. Oh, and the restaurant was 1/3 full… so they weren’t slammed.
The service was fantastic. However dining here several times during my stay this June, the food quality has gone down. We had dinner here and my seabass was still pink. This was after waiting for over an hour.
Also came for breakfast and waited over an hour for food. They clearly need more staff. I have never waited this long for some pancakes and oatmeal.
Another party came way after we did and they were almost done with their food by the time we got ours. When we finally got our fruit plate after one hour, some of it was inedible/sour/cut badly.
We love the hotel but the breakfast place needs to be improved. I recommend eating at the marketplace.
