It's hard to find places that offer sugar free items. Not only was the young gentleman so helpful since I've never been there. I asked him to make me a sugar free surprise me ice cream and let me tell you it was a total surprise. It tasted totally like an ice cream and i did not tell the difference of an alternative sugar. It was unbelievable how good it was. I give it 5 stars because it did not spike up my glucose and good customer service ?

Sweet spot in Carlsbad for ice cream made fresh in front of your eyes. In only a matter of minutes, Shoobie’s turns sweet cream and custom mix-ins into a dish or cone of ice cream. They even offer some sugar free and non-dairy alternatives. I went with a small The Grand (lemon and lavender) with Fruity Pebbles added in. Delicious! Beautiful desert in a beautiful location.

This place is a hit, very exciting to watch your ice cream get made right in front of you, kids and adults will love it, I recommend you get your ice cream custard, it's more creamier. They have a smaller size they don't advertise for kids, it's half the size of a small and it's perfect for the kids. My only gripe would be that this little taste of heaven is hidden between a bar and grill and a convenient store(where homeless people kinda hangout) other than that it's great!

Quaint, made to order, fancy ice-creamery. A local hot-spot and perfectly located close to the Carlsbad main drag. A favorite anytime we are in town. I too appreciate their non-dairy... abilities. Generous portions made the small, plenty enough to satisfy.

This was a first for us! Nitrogen cooled custard with mix-ins for a wonderful sweet and cold treat. We did the Raspberry Cheesecake, I think it was called Campground. Absolutely delicious. Great service too!

Cute place, great staff— loved their energy and how they were willing to spend time educating us on the process and telling us about their business. Ice cream was tasty as well.. OBVIOUSLY hehe.

This place is just the best. They make their own ice cream right in front of you. You order it, and they start the work. It is fun to watch and the product is some of the best ice cream you will ever have.This place is so cute. There is plenty of parking and the place is the perfect size. We just were so happy.We had 3 different types of ice cream, some in cups and one in a waffle cone that I would swear they just made. My favorite was the chocolate, my grandson was happy with all of it, but finally settled on cookies and ice cream. My husband was in heaven and forgot to share.The service is perfect. Everyone is nice and you will just love this place.It is a must stop.

Friendly staff and wide variety to choose from. This is a fun afternoon visit or date night stop. Nitrogen freeze technique is unique in the line up of ice cream places in the vicinity. The flavor and texture depends on the ingredients you pick.

This just might be the most amazing ice cream cone in the USA. Wow what flavors and the waffle cone seemed fresh out of the oven. Yummy.

Nice dessert every time I'm in Oceanside/Carlsbad. I get the pint seems like the better deal.$10 you'll have some left over for a late night snack. Grandkids love watching them make their treat. They have cool T shirts too.

Cool little spot they make ice cream right before your very eyes. My kids enjoyed this place on vacation and this place is fun with a nice staff. We will go back for ice cream when in Carlsbad.

Came here from out of town. It was close to our hotel. I didn't know the process, so I was surprised by the nitrogen. It was so cool!! My child loved watching it too! Great customer service as well. It was really yummy! I want to try it again one more time before I leave back home!

It's awesome that they use nitrogen to make ice cream. Staff members were very polite and friendly. The texture of the ice cream was different, but otherwise it was great.

We decided to try out this place as they offered sugar free. They make it right there for you and i must say the best ice cream I have had in a long time, I had the caramel with choc chips and caramel drizzle. My hubby had no sugar added peanut butter and he loved it Staff very friendly. Place very clean as in spotless

we were barely greeted by those behind the counter when we arrived which reflected poorly on their customer service. we had never been to an ice cream location that serves with nitrogen so i was expecting a bit of an explanation or a bit more interaction from those working but they just asked what we wanted with a monotoned voice. i ended up not wanting ice cream because of the worker dragging their feet to serve us. my partner did get a "regular" size which looked like a little amount after the nitrogen process. we ended up reaching the register and it was expensive for just 1 topping, in my opinion. the location is in a very busy intersection on this part of town. their parking is also poor once you make it into the small plaza.
