Tomoyama Sushi offers a solid dining experience with fresh ingredients and a welcoming atmosphere. I stopped in for dinner and tried the Rainbow Sashimi, the Hawaiian Roll, and a draft IPA.
The Rainbow Sashimi was visually appealing but didn’t quite meet expectations. The fish itself seemed fresh, but it was much saucier than the menu picture suggested. The sauce overpowered the delicate, natural flavors of the fish, making it difficult to appreciate the freshness....

The fish here is definitely fresh. We had a great experience. In terms of sushi, I actually feel it can be hard to find a spot that I really like in socal. This spot just does it for me. The rolls are bigger than many places I’ve been which reflects the price point but you get what you pay for. We shared just two rolls and some edamame and I’m full. Each bite is pretty massive.
