The oceanside view is absolutely gorgeous, and the atmosphere is super fancy but still comfortable. The drinks were on point, the menu had so many great options, and the bartenders clearly know their craft.
What really made the night special, though, was Raul, the supervisor. He was so friendly and welcoming--he made me feel like a total VIP. His energy and kindness just added to the amazing atmosphere. He is clearly invested in creating a memorable experience for every guest.
If you're looking for a spot with stunning views, great drinks, and awesome service, Tower39 is the place. I'll definitely be back!

I vacationed here for many years and have lived here for 4 years, and I never realized this spot was here until one day I noticed feom across the street when I was dining at the Harbor Fish Cafe. I looked it up and found out there was a lounge that serves food and drinks, so I definitely wanted to check it out.
I brought my daughter here for some after work unwinding and a light dinner. I am so glad we found this spot. It was busy but not overly crowded. The ambiance is amazing with panoramic views of the Pacific. There were fire pits at various tables and lamps to keep you warm when the sun set and it got a little chilly. It's such a relaxing environment to chill for an after work wind down! The prices are a bit pretentious for drinks, but I guess you can expect it with the views you get.
You do have to walk up and place your order at the bar, as it is not 100% full service, but I didn't mind. I ordered a cranberry club for myself, being I don't drink any longer, and a Flower of Pearadise for my daughter, which she said was an amazing drink. For food, I ordered the hummus and veggies plate along with a chicken tender plate with parmesan garlic fried. The hummus plate was so good. It had such a great assortment of veggies and pita chips to dip and eat. The hummus was smooth and creamy, having such a great flavor, having a slight lemony hint to it. The tenders were okay, but we're a bit overdone, thus, the chicken was dried out. The fries were SO good, though, and so addicting with the parmesan and garlic mixture. Crispy on the outside, but softy and fluffy on the inside.
I additionally ordered the Carlsbad strawberry sparkler for my daughter, which she said she didn't enjoy as much as the Martini. The reason is that the strawberries weren't sweet, but rather sour, which took away from the enjoyment of the drink. I ordered a mojito without the booze, which the bartender did not do a great job balancing the mixes. He poured way too much lime mix in the drink, which made each sip a pucker factor. If he had balanced it more with mint and soda, it would have likely been more enjoyable.
Slow, chewy when it should've been crunchy, salty disappointing every bite when I went. Sightseeing was only 1 star. Food I had the runs the runs following morning.
