Go for the sunset, skip the food! While the crew was friendly, the food was overpriced and snack bar quality. Hummus platter decent, pretzel bites okay but not enough cheese dip, and chicken tenders like cardboard. The “grilled” chicken sandwich was an all-time misrepresentation—the menu over-promises “caramelized onions & mushrooms”, instead were they soupy & moist (and likely out of a can), the chibatta stale, and the “grilled” chicken was definitely out of a can, shredded and mealy. Drinks selection plentiful, but wine overpriced @ $15/glass.

The rooftop bar is nice, but closes a bit too early at 9:30. Should stay open until at least 10:00. The bartender (8/11/25) has no personality and is rude. He made two of the same drinks for us, shorted them both and left plenty in the shaker to fill them both up instead of dumping it down the drain. Why waste it when you can make a customer happy with a full drink. Two 3/4 full espresso martinis for $36…. Hmmmm.

I went for the first time lastnight and the location is amazing. It is first come first serve and you can sit yourself once you arrive. You then order what you want to eat and drink at the bar. We ended up sitting right at the edge and closest to the view which is the best seating there I think. Also the staff was very, very friendly. Reason why I gave it 4 starts is because of the food. I ordered the chicken strips with fries and they were definitely over cooked, very hard and dry and the fries had a spiciness which was odd. A little disappointed but with everything else being great, I still plan on going again.

Great views of the Pacific with heaters and fire circles. Prices are reasonable but draft beer selection is limited with more can beer choices. Liquor drinks, mixes and wine too. Perfect for a date night and fantastic sunsets.

Very easy to miss the place, but highly recommend not to. Simple menu and great happy hour prices. The place was super clean and the staff was friendly. The view is amazing. Look at the picture I added. I wish the servers would walk around offering More drinks, but I was able to walk through the bar and order no problem.
We were here for vacation and stayed across the street.You take the elevator to the roof and you get a great view of the Carlsbad beach. You have to make your food and drink order at the bar. Isabel took our order and she was very nice. I got the Karl Strauss red trolley ale. We ordered three flatbreads and pretzel bites. These were all hand delivered from the head chef Exton he was great as well. Kelly the manager was hustling everywhere making sure it was a smooth operation. She checked on us frequently. I ended up leaving my backpack there and they put it at the front desk. Mary and Tyler were also incredible at the bar!! What an excellent restaurant and atmosphere. Like a family. Very impressed

My friend and I ate there Monday, May 19 to celebrate my friend’s birthday. We arrived just in time to watch a beautiful sunset. 0 We shared the Sunkist flatbread and the Mediterranean Breeze Wrap. Both were delicious.
Kelly (manager) checked to see how we were doing and we just fell in love with her. She made sure we got everything we ordered and that we were happy and satisfied. The experience was wonderful and will definitely go back.
