Best meal in Carmel. Every item used a bounty of fresh local produce. And the flavors were incredible. Stuff you cannot make at home unless you have a hundred ingredients and spices. I feel like most of Carmel's restaurants taste the same, nothing super special, and certainly not worth the restaurant calories or a Yelp review for that matter. Service here is excellent, mostly provided by the owner who is from South East Asia. Tips: if your diet program allows it, order two rounds of lumpia, you will want a second, trust me. And the Java salad is special, delicious, hearty, and an incredible value. Choose anything with the Indonesian Fried Rice, because it is so tasty and harder to make at home than the steamed rice.

SO LOUD you cannot have a conversation. Crowded, loud. More bar than restaurant. Food was good but not amazing, or worth the noise.

This is an amazing venue located in Carmel with live music on the weekends. A very inviting atmosphere is filled with music, singing and even dancing as people gather around the bar. The food was delicious and the service was great. Very friendly and personable staff. Small and quaint and worth a visit.

This place is a treasure! It's more than a restaurant with great live music it's a special event that will leave you and whoever you bring with you grateful for the experience. The food is great, the staff goes above and beyond to ensure that you come back. Their careful selection of live musicians is unmatched and the variety is appealing to generations of music lovers. Don't miss it!

I took a special girl here for our first real date night. The atmosphere was great, the food was great, there was live music, and the owner was very friendly. By the end of the dinner, she said "yes" to being my girlfriend. Thanks Edwins Carmel!

This was our favorite meal of our trip! We had the steamed Manila clams, Javanese prawn pasta, fried pork chop, and ice cream with fried bananas-all FANTASTIC!! They also had live music which made the evening all the more enjoyable. Definitely stop by here if you have the chance!

Ahi ceviche, shrimp, veggie spring rolls, roti, taro dip, wow, this was so good. The manager Neil (hope I'm spelling that right) served our group a tasting platter that blew us away...Their flavors are a true fusion of Filipino and southeast Asian food. Definitely try this place! Thank you chef!

Took a 7hr drive to Carmel by the Sea about a week or so ago. This stop was legitimately the highlight of our trip! They offered good drinks and live music and were probably the place open the latest. When we arrived I will say it was a little dead. For the first hour or so it was my boyfriend, myself and an older gentleman enjoying some cover songs. After a few drinks we started trying to bring people in and the place just lit up. By the end of the night the tables were filled with smiling faces. The owner was welcoming and chatted with us a bit. The musician was engaging, took requests and kept the crowd happy. Loved this stop & loved the people. I would absolutleyto stop by again, just gotta convince my driver to take on another 7hr trip.

Great food and even better service! Went on a Sunday night and there was live music. Wasn't too busy when we arrived, but they quickly filled up and for good reason! I'm Filipino myself and won't lie I'm a bit picky when it comes to Filipino food, especially lumpia, but their lumpia shanghai was to die for! The Pinoy Pork Chops were amazing; it's so hard to get pork chops right without drying them out but they were so moist and perfectly fried. I sent photos to my mom back home and even she said everything looked good! That must count for something coming from someone who makes the best Filipino food I've had, right? Salamat, Edwin's! Some of the best food I had in Carmel and such a lovely piece of home on my trip. We will be back!

We ordered the special with pork belly & shrimp and the salmon dinner. Both were beautifully presented and delicious. Even the vegetables were extremely flavorful. We had no wait to be seated and the staff were so very friends. We couldn't get a 'before' pic because we just couldn't wait!

Food was delicious and very flavorful. Ambience is very welcoming especially when they have a someone playing the piano. However, the only thing that could be so much better is the portioning. Well as least for the specials they have. I got the seafood curry and dont get me wrong it was GOOD. But for the price, it wasnt really worth it for the portion.

So, actually a 4.5. A friend and I came from out of town without reservations late on a Friday and were able to be seated without a wait. It's a pretty small place and the tables are close together, so just be aware of that if you don't like to be close to your neighbor! My friend really wanted lumpia and loved it here! The server let us have a taste of the wine before committing to a bottle. We both enjoyed our food, but we didn't see much of our waiter. Both of the tables on either side of us cycled through two couples in the time that we were there based on the slow, but friendly, service. It was a super fun atmosphere with two different singers who were both amazing! People were up and dancing and singing along and we loved it! It was my birthday and they sang happy birthday to me, but no free birthday dessert or anything. We had so much fun there that we came back for drinks and music the next two nights. If we had just been there the one night for dinner, I probably would've given it a four based on the service, but we obviously loved it or we wouldn't have come back two other nights! I declared it the most fun in Carmel!

I've been wanting to try Edwin's for a while now! We really enjoyed the live music Saturday night, the food was very well presented, and everything we've had were super delicious- don't forget to try the the desserts- both Turon and Cassava cake ! The owners were super nice, both Dexter and Lester was very prompt and friendly, and made awesome suggestions on the menu! It's def one of our favorite restaurant in Carmel now :)
