Bud's at La Playa

I LOVE Buds and I always recommend it to visitors. But after tonight that may have changed. Can someone please explain to me why I paid $25 each for espresso martinis with well vodka, meanwhile all other premium cocktails on the menu are $18? Even after asking the waitress why there was such a large difference.

Bud’s is a stunning spot inside La Playa Hotel for drinks. We didn’t try the food, but the burger looked delicious and seemed popular with other guests. The ambiance is both charming and vibrant with several cozy rooms with fireplaces.

I had a spicy margarita, which was delicious (and strong). Overall, such a beautiful setting to relax with a drink. I’d love to come back and spend more time here!

Bud’s is a must visit, especially for sunset. The bar, indoor seating, and outdoor patio all have their own unique charm, I almost couldn’t decide where I wanted to sit. The music is great, servers attentive, and decor is classic. I look forward to coming back!

The place has a wonderful dark ambiance and a great spirits selection. My trip was made by Haley the bartender. She was attentive, sweet and really welcoming. She made the experience. Will be back!

The best burger & fries Ive ever had. Every bite was exactly how it should be. Service is amazing, ambiance is so chill and dark lighting vibe is vintage Carmel.

Don't let the name fool you. Bud's at La Playa Hotel is not only an ideal spot for a relaxing evening, but also a perfect setting for a romantic date night with its intimate atmosphere, exquisite cocktails, and stunning views.

Great drinks, great views of the bay, attentive service. If you are looking for a bar with a cool vibe, such as brick walls, dimly lit and wood paneled, you'll find it here. If you're looking for a more open and brightly lit place with bay views, you'll find that here too! Overall a great experience and drinks are standard price for a place like this ($18 on average) but they are good! I recommend the Plaiditude and the Writer's Block
