‘Do you come to Carmel and ask for prices? You should find another place.’the host responded when we asked if they had a menu with prices. This place has very rude and unwelcoming personnel. Not sure what's wrong with wanting to see the menu and prices upfront. My wife and I came from SF, which isn't known as a cheap place to live or eat out, but it doesn't really matter tbh. Any customer can check the menu and prices and decide if they want eat there or somewhere else.I've visited this place twice before though: once around half a year ago with friends and a few years back with my wife. The food was okay, nothing special. I'm surprised I didn't get food poisoning after learning how toxic their host is.I don't recommend this place unless you want to be poorly treated. After such a "nice" suggestion we went to another sea food place nearby and had a great experience there.

Tourist trap. This isn’t high quality food. It’s got to be that the rating is as high as it is because they’re full of people who simply don’t know what they’re talking about. I’m a foodie who lived in SF for 10 years and now lives in Napa. My mother in law is a chef. I know food. The “award winning lobster bisque” was boring. The fish and chips were all soggy, heavily breaded fry, with hardly any fish; truly not something we wanted to eat. The fried artichokes were thick tasteless chunks. The fish tacos were soggy and flavorless. The mussels in the cioppino smelled like crap. Even the margarita seemed to be made with cheap mix.Everything was flavorless, uninspired, poor quality. I was angry. We paid too much for that. It felt like we had been duped. I don’t want anyone else who actually cares about experiencing a good meal to fall for it too.

I found this amazing place by calling and speaking with the owner who was so kind and welcoming. As someone with celiac disease and a dairy allergy, eating out often leaves you one or two options on a menu. Not here. In over a decade of eating gluten and dairy free I have NEVER seen a larger GF menu. They have a gluten free fryer and so many options. Sandra, our amazing server, not only explained how things were kept and prepared safely and went over everything we could have, she made suggestions which were phenomenal. I wish I could give 6 stars for Sandra’s service alone!! Will definitely be making a trip back with some friends just for a meal here.

The clam chowder was mediocre, unfortunately didn’t have much flavor. The serving was generous. The lobster roll also mediocre flavor-wise. The roll had a funny taste as if it was grilled on a grill that hadn’t been cleaned for awhile, not sure what that taste was. I couldn’t eat the bread after tasting it. The calamari was very good. Fries were great. The lettuce in the salads had brown edges, definitely not fresh. The service was really good and our server was very friendly. It’s nice inside with a lively crowd.

The food at this place is worth trying! We had Flaherty's Seafood cob salad (I ordered it gluten free) and Linguine Pescatore pasta. Everything is super fresh and very delicious. They prepare gluten free. Everyone's attention is excellent and the atmosphere is very nice. You can eat outside too. I recommend!!

Excellent fish & chips, central location, good local craft beer.Be sure to read the fine print that says 2.2% "restaurant hardship" tacked to every bill. My understanding was that this was NOT a gratuity passed on to staff. The pricing is already high, so be aware.Parking: We parked almost a mile away. The streets are always crowded, and parking is always hard to find.

Host or who ever answered the phone was extremely rude for no reason. I had asked what the crowd looked like and he became frustrated with me and refused to answer. No thank

The place was a bit crowded, what else would you expect on a bright Saturday morning..The sandwiches are surprisingly tasty with all different sea food inside . The paella was great too, maybe just a little too much of a turmeric for me, or just something was making it a bit too strong.
