No other place for breakfast compares to Katy’s Place. Everything on their varied menu is prepared perfectly and the service is consistently excellent! Their many eggs Benedict options are winners—especially the fresh crab/spinach Benedict. Highly recommend!

Cash only.
Food was just ok. Soda machine was broken. Just plain coffee, no choice of creamers.

The disappointment already started with fame. Famous for pancakes, but the pancakes were bad. Massive and too tall.
High price and does not deliver quality food. We ordered eggs with bacon and potatoes, it was weak and tasteless.
Last problem: they only accept physical cash, no credit/debit cards.

I felt like the place doesn’t really care about the customer experience. I got there and even though there were plenty of open tables, I had to wait until my +1 arrived to get a table (he was literally parking in front of the restaurant). They only accept cash and the menu is very clear on: no substitutions, no sharing, no for everything lol. And they don’t have any espressos, just regular coffee which was a bit frustrating. I had eggs, bacon and potatoes and it was a good choice, but the bacon was a bit too dry. And the pancakes were a bit disappointing, I prefer when they’re thinner. It was an ok experience, not worth the hype though

Es el típico lugar local lleno de atmósfera casera, tienen más de 20 variedades de egg Benedict’s, pedimos el steak and eggs , dunganess crab benedict, smoked salmon on potato cake with cream and capers, todo estaba perfectamente ejecutado, delicioso lugar. Definitivamente un must en Carmel para desayunos.

Was really disappointed. We were told that they had no sauce for eggs Benedict menu after 10 mins of deciding on that which is what they r known for. Then I asked for French toast and my husband ordered a omelet. We were given the wrong drinks, then his omelet was open looked like half burnt scample with almost no cheese. My French toast was 2 basic slices of sourdough and looked nothing like what the great photos of food u see on Google were. Then we go to pay $70 dollars for our horrible breakfast and man at the counter was in his phone not noticing we were there to pay until someone else got his attention. Huge disappointment. We ended up going to Starbucks and happier with that sadly

Cash only. Delicious breakfast and I sat at the counter so there was no wait. The biscuits and gravy reminded me of grandma's and the six egg omelet was a feast.

I was not impressed with Katy's Place. First, they only accept cash, so if you don’t have cash on you, don’t bother going. On top of that, the customer service was lacking. Our server brought the check before we even finished our breakfast and didn’t bother asking if we wanted to order anything else. It felt rushed and inconsiderate. Overall, my experience was disappointing, and I don’t plan on returning.

This place is cash only and there is a small sign in the window that most would overlook and we did. The older man at the register was not nice and had to leave our ID and go find an ATM. I got the Huevos Rancheros and the beans were from a can like Rosarita beans. I wish they would tell you it's cash only when you are seated. Not many carry cash these days.
This is one of the worst breakfast experiences i have had in a looooooong time!
I guess the book of a menu should have been fair warning but i decided to ignore it given the descent reviews.
Whilst the ambience is ok and the server was very polite and sweet, the food is unbelievably bad. It is amazing what banking on a touristic certainty can have u get away with!!!
I tried the huevos rancheros, a watery mess on floppy tortillas with what was supposed to be a runny egg but was more a raw cracked egg, beans out of a can!!! Horrible horrible horrible!
Also tried the lobster omlette, no idea how to describe that so i’ll just pass on that one. And finally who getts waffles wrong!?!? Wild guess: this place!
I Would never come back and certainly recommend no one does until the food is improved
