Quite bad that a restaurant that is fairly positively reviewed didn't give us an equally positive experience. This was more because of how our party was treated. We made a dinner reservation and when we arrived (we were so much on time), there wasn't a table waiting for us, we had to wait another 20 minutes at least (it was a full Friday night). The food was fabulous. We had the octopus, grilled prawns, scallops, and seafood linguine, and I was pleased that every dish was delicious and carefully prepared.

But I have to say, the service left a bad taste in my mouth. At this type of restaurant,I don’t think asking for a little bit of pleasantry is too much to ask for. A single smile, a single nicety, a single glimpse of warmth would have been appreciated.

I checked out Potabella in Carmel and it was such a great find. The sandwiches were fresh, packed with flavor, and felt super homemade. The bread was warm and soft, just perfect. I loved the cozy, local vibe of the place—it feels welcoming right away. The staff was chill and super friendly, which made the experience even better.
