We have stopped in here a few times over the years when we visit Carmel, we have always had a great time. It has a homey feel, and it is always nice to chat with locals. Hopefully the owner will be able to find a new spot to revive the bar. Cheers!

Walked in for a casual drink, just trying to support local. Waited at the bar for minutes on end while the staff talked with patrons. Small town so naturally you patiently await a greeting to lead into your order. Minutes later they were still busy talking, no glance in our direction. The people who 'had' the spot that was open at the bar, came back from talking to their friends. Ok, no biggie it's a small town and what do I care? Walk over to another open spot to wait to be acknowledged by bar, still nothing after minutes on end. This place was still well below capacity. Gave this spot plenty of patience and time to acknowledge our party and to do some business. Just before deciding to leave due to being ignored, I noticed a political parties signage placed at the top center of the bar. Poor taste. I gladly left and definitely will never come back.

I came here while staying at a nearby hotel back in early September. From the moment I sat down I was treated like family and not just by the staff but from the locals who were frequent customers. I tried to stop in every day or night that I had some free time. It reminded me of home. Being from a rural midwestern town this isn’t easy especially out in California. Thank you to all who made those connections so very special and memorable. I hope to come back in a year or two to stop in and say hi.

Sade’s may not survive 2026. Parker’s lease ends in January and no one will be able to buy a real drink in Carmel after midnight.

The bartender is disgusting… I think it’s the owner. He kicked my friends and I out even though we were about to order a drink. I have talked to multiple people separate from my group and they have all said terrible things about the bar. I would highly recommend never going here. Terrible vibes.

I will never go to this place. The Bartender refuses to give people a cup of water. I went with my friends and we were customers,it was around 2am and asked for a cup of water and he refused to give me one and had a nasty attitude. Even when I offer to tip him for the water because I wasn’t feeling well.Bad business

I was hoping for a Margherita but the place felt small and cramped. A couple groups of Australian or British wanted to get into a fight outside. I was hoping it was going to be a peaceful drink with new friends but not this time. I'll try again later.
