Delicious breakfast. Excellent eggs Benedict. Place can get packed so service can be slow at times. 40minute wait time. Make sure you sign your name to the wait list. Street parking only.
Authentic breakfast, warm service, nice environment. You are getting ready from this high vibe breakfast in the beginning of the day.
My family always makes sure to stop in at this breakfast spot, usually more then once when we vacation in Carmel! The staff is always friendly and very attentive, food is great and large portions! It’s very cozy and family friendly! I always recommend this place!
Great food and they taste so good. The servers ate friendly and the place feels like a small cozy cottage.
We went to this restaurant twice and had two very different experiences.
The first time, we were warmly welcomed by a lovely young woman and a friendly waitress. The food was good, and we were able to have lunch with our small dog. They even brought her a bowl of water without us having to ask.
We returned this morning and were greeted this time by the owner. The welcome was very cold, and it was clear he wasn’t pleased with the dog’s presence. We didn’t want to insist and were ready to leave and eat elsewhere, but he eventually allowed the dog at certain tables, which we completely understood.
Once seated, we asked the waiter if our dog could have some water like last time, and he very curtly replied that the owner refused to give water to dogs because it makes the restaurant floor wet. That was really surprising. The waiter then remained extremely cold and unfriendly.
Honestly it would be better not to allow dogs at all rather than treating customers this way…
If you want a mid 20th Century breakfast, this is your place. Really nice people, super efficient service, but very unhealthy old fashioned food.
If you're looking for healthy, avocado toast, shakshuka, espresso drinks, youthful vibe, you're in the wrong place.
If you want a good full breakfast that tastes amazing with delicious and fresh ingredients, you come here. I mean what else can a man say? I came I liked it, and I kept coming, and on top of that there is an amazing art gallery across the street that you can visit. Highly recommend!!!
My daughter had breakfast at this place alongside her two friends one male the other female. When it came time for the check the man that took their orders came and dropped it off we then asked if they can split the check and get a box and he then said in a rude manner that it would take a while, they said okay and waited patiently. They wanted to ask for another box so they tried to get the servers attention, he didn't even look their way and says wait.15 minutes later he returned and left the check with a rude comment. He said something along the lines of knowing how we want the check before paying instead of wasting time.My daughter apologized and they then paid with the older lady and instead asked her for a box. While they left the older lady apologized perfusely for that mans actions over and over, my daughter again apologized for how she was treated and told the lady have a good day and that she appreciated it. I honestly feel like they were treated this way because they were young mexican adults.
This place was a pleasant surprise. Because a restaurant we were planning on hitting up for bread weird hours, we took a walk and randomly found this place. The waffle was amazing and they served real maple syrup which is a huge deal for how I view a good breakfast place. We’ll be back next time!

I really liked the atmosphere and service here. The food was mostly good but not amazing. My biscuits and gravy were a little salty and had no other flavor. The Earl Grey tea was very good but I didn't appreciate the weird-shaped glass the hot water came in instead of a teapot... The glass was a poor insulator and was difficult to pour into a cup without spilling some hot water onto the table or your hand.

Long queue, but nice cosy atmosphere when we got seated and attentive server. Food decent although I got painful stomach cramps a couple of hours afterwards. I hadn't eaten anything else that day or even for dinner the night before.

Great food! They do take credit cards. Someone wrote that it’s cash only but that’s a different restaurant in Carmel. Sometimes a bit of a long, wait but amazing hashbrowns and delicious delicious blintzes! Cozy quaint atmosphere.

The cheese blintzes were much too sweet-like eating pure sugar. Not recommended.

Breakfast was an unfortunate experience. The Service and Coffee were good but the food was barely edible. Fried eggs were done OK but the grease they use is horrible. Thin, overcooked, flavorless prefab sausage patties. Canned hash. Over cooked hashbrowns that were too crunchy to eat. Food this mediocre is sad to find in such a cute town like Carmel.
