Unless you are a dog owner or a dog yourself, don’t eat here cuz they don’t give a shit about you. Host was more busy giving out treats to dogs while our requests took multiple times to be filled.
Came for brunch on a Saturday. Got a table right away. Staff were attentive and friendly. The portions were large. The food was very well prepared, hot, and very tasty.

Stopped by Village Corner for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by their gluten-free options. My wife went with the veggie scramble, and I went with the two eggs any style, poached, with thick-cut bacon and rye toast. The rye toast wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but it was still tasty. She also enjoyed a mocha, which she said was just right.
The atmosphere was cozy, an ambiance that made for a bright morning. Even though it was a busy Sunday, we were seated quickly, which was a pleasant surprise.
Overall, it was a solid breakfast experience, and we'd definitely return next time we're in Carmel.

We visited just a random pick in Carmel after seeing the good reviews, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. We had the ravioli, which came with a very salty sauce and a rather bland taste. The fish with seafood dish was similar—overly salty and lacking flavor. It’s a shame, as we were hoping for a nice lunch in Carmel but left quite unsatisfied.

Atrocious wait system for service. We were told wait was 20 min, we waited 50 min. Finally seated and no service was provided for another 15 min! Incredibly disorganized and disappointing. Shocking considering how popular they are. If you go after 11 be ready for the chaos. Better off walking to a different spot for similar food or better.

From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed by both the host and the waiter. The service was warm and attentive, making the whole experience inviting. The jumbo shrimp was absolutely delicious, the clam chowder was rich and flavorful, and the warm bread with dip was a perfect touch. To finish, the vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate sauce was the perfect sweet ending. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the hospitality!
