Georis has a delightful tasting room, as well as the Corkscrew Cafe on the other side Pilot Road. On a Wednesday afternoon, my wife and I spent a delightful time tasting a mixed flight, and sampling two others, followed by an espresso from the cafe. All the wines were dry, European-style. The 2019 Clos des Moutons, their Bordeaux-style red blend, was exceptional.
Since we were the only people there, we had Ben's full attention for 2 hours. This is wine tasting the way it should be. Highly recommended as a quiet alternative to some of the larger tasting rooms.
So overpriced for such terrible tasting wines. Only thing that tasted good was a complimentary pour of sparkling rose.
We wanted to do a little wine tasting at a vineyard in Carmel. Unfortunately, they were all closed on a Wednesday. However, we came upon Georis tasting room. It had a great atmosphere and even though it wasn’t a vineyard, you sat out in the garden and felt like you were in one. The tasting room itself is large with leather chairs and tables. The outside has several patio tables with umbrellas tucked away in the gardens or right off the tasting room. There’s even a bocce ball court, which is fun. Alexander greeted us and told us about the wines and the vineyard itself. He was so friendly and provided great information to learn about their wine. Food is available at Georis from the restaurant across the street, which is a sister property. We ordered the charcuterie board which was substantial and had a great variety of things to enjoy. The wine tasting we chose had five different varieties for $30. My husband and I shared the tasting as the pours were generous. I would recommend this tasting room, not only for the wine, but for the wonderful outside garden to enjoy the wine.
Always a great experience.
My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding by traveling to Monterrey where we went 20 years ago. We went to Georis on both trips and it is a highlight. Great building, outdoor seating and some of the best wine you will taste in Carmel Valley.
We live in Monterey and were excited to try Georis. It has a really nice aesthetic and outdoor space. Unfortunately, the service was quite bad. We were there at the end of the day, and had checked with the staff that there was enough time for us to do a tasting. We were then alerted 15 minutes before they closed that we needed to pack up, even though we had a lot of wine left. The server actually started taking my wine glasses and pouring them out. The wine didn’t redeem the experience either, as it was mediocre at best. We love visiting the valley as locals, but unfortunately we won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend Georis to others.
Chilled bottle of Rosé was so tasty on this warm evening. There is plenty of shaded seating and the scenery is pleasant. There are plenty of other wineries walking distance if curiosity melts the cat :P also if you’re in the mood for some olive oil tasting head over to Quail & Olive in the corner for a unique experience . Cheers! ?
Love coming here. Staff is always courteous and friendly. I love sitting out in the garden looking at all the plants. Wine is delicious. Highly recommend their charcuterie, too.
Well, this was a strange one. My wife and I have been Georis members for a few years now and we love the wine, the staff and the large and comfortable outside courtyard. With that being said, we made the difficult decision to stop our membership this week to focus financially on getting the kid through his last year of college. We decided to stop in for one more visit - and tasting - and let staff know we would be stopping our membership. Then there was Daisy, the amazing server we feel fortunate to have gotten to know over the past year. Her friendly and professional demeanor is something we look forward to each time we visit. This time was no exception. After spending a few hours with Daisy again yesterday, my wife informed me that we will not be leaving Georis anytime soon.Thank you Daisy for your continued excellent service and Georis for continuing to produce some of our favorite reds! The MacLaren Family
Friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Wine was very good and reasonably priced.

Wine tasting in Carmel valley... With some good friends we haven't seen in a few years... Happy New Year..
Ambience is nice, but otherwise kinda boring.
Very disappointed customer service if you sign up for the wine club. We never received the wines we requested. My husband went to Carmel, they told him they will ship the pinot noir to us in Washington. They never did, when we called them to ask what happened, they put him in hold for like an hour. Then we called other day and they said they ran out. Today we called again to cancel the membership, they did not even care that we had received such a bad customer service through out. They just said you could email us. Well, I think customer service is not a priority for them.
Very friendly service. Very reasonable in price. Enjoyed being outside.
Beautiful place to set outdoors and enjoy a bottle of wine. Amazing views or the surrounding hills.
