Really nice place with just awesome meals, live music, and good vibes

Sunday brunch/lunch with music in the garden is the best. Michael Jones' cooking is amazing. And the wines, by the glass, bottle or as a tasting flight make this a wonderful place to spend a sunny Carmel Valley afternoon.

Maybe they should be closed during Car Week. The chef was very tired from catering the night before & his wife circulated around the outdoor tables making unfortunate comments about him. At one point when no one in the place was getting any of their food, she came out and announced that "Chef had to go to the store". We waited forever for any staff to come to our table & were told, "I'm the wine girl, not the food girl", so we waited even longer for any semblance of food service. The entire meal was that way. 2 in our party were served 20 minutes earlier than the rest, and 1 didn't get any food until the other 3 were finished. The service was nearly nonexistent. One dish was horrible and sat there untouched even though several staff came by at our request for water, etc. They just ignored the fact that one dish was inedible. Then they completely forgot one appetizer dish but offered to bring it after everyone was done eating. The "Infamous Fandangos" must be infamous because they are burnt to charcoal. When we ordered a bottle of wine and they poured 2 glasses, they then left with the bottle! The typed up menu didn't make any sense for the brunch selection & we had to ask 2 different people to explain it.The only good thing about this experience was the weather was nice and the musician was spectacular. We appreciate a performer who plays quietly in the background so guests can visit with each other.Too bad the rest of the experience was awful...

Sunday Brunch with Michael and Amanda Jones is a perfect start to any Sunday. I had not been to "brunch by Michael" for more than a decade, which left me wondering why it had been so long since I'd returned. Our meals were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. We started with coffee and fresh Esther Vasquez strawberries, a shared summer corn chowder and an elote dish. We three then individually had a vegetarian Benedict, a smoked salmon w Asiago omelet, and a steak and scrambled eggs combo. It was top tier and typical of Michael and Amanda...who are true culinary treasures for anyone who loves food in the central coast area. I am grateful that they have continued to carve out time from their busy catering business to prepare brunch once a week, mainly for locals. Service was just right-attentive but not intrusive. They are such a gift to the community.

Stopped by on a very warm Saturday afternoon and had some excellent appetizers and wine tasting. Morgan the tasting manager is an incredible host. The wine is all organic and amazing and the apps we shared were incredible. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend this winery if you are in Carmel Valley

Friendly and lovely tasting outside in the garden. Not a newcomer, like so many overpriced wineries in Carmel Valley, but a gem. Loved the sparkling Chenin Blanc! And I bought some of the organic plum jam - OMG it's so good I should have bought more than one.

There was an unfortunate scene here today. A young man, an employee from the kitchen was yelling at an older woman, a customer. The woman was shaken and crying. I comforted her and she said that earlier, like a week ago?.? she had found his dog in a nearby park. There were no dog tags so she couldnt find the owner. Long story short, eventually she found owner, an employee of Massa. But today the young man thanked her by aggressively yelling at her. Ironically earlier I had seen the dog near the busy road. anyways, this isn't about food or wine, but. whoa! was a upsetting scene to walk into! The kid needs to put a tag on his dog and learn to be grateful.
