The restaurant has a pleasant decor and an extensive menu. There are a lot of raw items that my wife thought were very good and fresh. I had a pork, kimchi stew which was spicey and flavorful. The wine list was fair and the saki list could use a few additions. The decor is very nice. Service was good. We will be back.

Favorite sushi place in the area. Delicious food for a great price. The owners are really nice and come over to chat. The last time we came, they doted on our dog. There's also an outdoor shaded seating area that's a good choice on sunny days.

We love Mika Sushi. Everything is fresh, delicious and made with love. The owners , chefs and servers are wonderful. This is by far the best restaurant in Carmel Valley Village! Our faves include: Tom and Jerry roll, hamachi carpaccio, seaweed salad, the new Smokey Robinson roll, and many more. They also have excellent non-sushi Japanese and Korean dishes. If you’re in the Valley you should not miss Mika.

Cute little spot in the valley with indoor and covered patio seating. Sat on the covered patio and the heaters kept us warm. The staff and the owners are super friendly and had great recommendations. We loved trying their suggestions; the Kimchi pie (it's like a pizza) was delicious!

Excellent Sushi - Great Service At last! Mika Sushi now provides the Monterey Peninsula with a true alternative to Aka-Oni! New local owner (Haesoo), combined with a chef trained in Japan (Jay), share a commitment to excellent food and gracious service, which means that local sushi lovers can find a new home. The quality of the fish is outstanding, and the rice is cooked to perfection, so both the sushi and sashimi offerings are superb. Chef Jay shows talent in the selection and preparation of the many classic sushi favorites as well as a wide range of rolls. We went recently for dinner when there was a special arrival of Toro and ultra-premium grade Maguro, which made for a memorable evening. Also, from the moment you walk in the door you are warmly greeted and then treated as an honored guest throughout the meal. What a delight! Lastly, while high quality fish is never cheap, prices are considerably more reasonable than at Aka-Oni. So, for the food, the welcome, and the value I highly recommend Mika Sushi! And, FWIW, I have been eating sushi for 50 years in California, Tokyo, London, and New York...

The new owners have done a PHENOMENAL job upleveling this place, making it a beautiful gem. Amazing food, gorgeous patio garden with a ton of flowers and plants. We love it here! Even the bathroom is immaculate and beautiful. Also very kid-friendly with a spacious patio and lots of space between the tables.
