Classy atmosphere, excellent service. We only had some of the small plates as we had dinner plans elsewhere, but they were very good. The Brussels sprouts in particular were on point.
I visited Roux this past weekend with a group and ordered the New York strip steak cooked medium rare. Unfortunately, the steak I received was clearly overcooked--closer to well done. When I brought this to the attention of our server, he acknowledged the issue and said they would remake it.
Shortly after, the server returned and informed me that the chef beleived the steak was medium rare, though they would still prepare a new one. About five minutes later, I received another steak--this time severely undercooked, blue rare, and still cold in the center.
When I brought this up to my server, the chef shouted from the kitchen, insisting the first steak had been cooked correctly. It was one of the most unprofessional dining experiences I've ever had. The staff showed no accountability and displayed incredibly poor customer service throughout the interaction.
This place is amazing. The owner was so accommodating with our big group and the food was insanely delicious. Definitely recommend.
I had the short ribs which was sort of like a pot roast and it was quite good. Not a huge portion but good. The seafood pasta was good as well. Call ahead just to make sure they have tables
Bernardus Lodge and Spa where we were staying recommended Roux. We arrived for an early dinner and ordered a variety of appetizers to split with a glass of wine. The food and service was spectacularly. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area.
Our family had Christmas Eve reservations. Although we are staying in Monterey, we took the drive only to find out that the restaurant was closed. They were accepting reservations on Yelp and open table. This review is not a reflection of their food and beverage, but instead their business practices. Please make sure to update your Hours of operation or at the very least your voicemail. We called on multiple occasions.

Delightful lunch. Really friendly service.
Food tasted mediocre but I got food poisoning hours later. We went for dinner and ordered the scallops, chicken skewers and Brussels sprouts. It really ruined our road trip.

Don't sit near the window or you'll spend time with the flies. The food was okay, but the service was not. The restaurant wasn't packed either. However, it seemed like only one guy was taking care of everyone. They need at least two people. The paella was definitely enough for two people. We ended up with some leftovers.

Just stoping by to have a bite before run into my day…. 1 simple dish … fish and chips … 2 out of the 3 pieces were raw and hard rock, call the server to please do it again, they did and again 2 out 3 inedible… by the way only my self and another 3 top on the entire bistro… how hard is to do something right ? I’ll no post the pictures, but I’ll keep it to justify this comment … I’m in the industry by the way hope next time will be better, we all deserve a second chance

NOT a French restaurant. Had a fun vibe, and part of our wine tour.
