Blue Sky Chinese Restaurant

Blue Sky is one of our favorite Chinese food restaurants and has been ever since we moved into Carmichael in 2016. The owner there is extremely friendly and greeting with a huge smile and I feel hugged when I walk in. It helps to know that we order take out there at least once a month. Our favorites are honey walnut chicken and we ordered the sauce to the side because we have leftovers and we often times like to reheat the chicken. But it's hard to reheat the chicken the next day because the sauce makes the chicken soggy. They're happy to keep the sauce on the side. We also love their Deluxe string bean combo. I like to ask them to add extra green beans which they do. Everything we've ordered there is fantastic. They have the best Chinese mustard in town.

Have only ever done takeout, but seems like it would be a good place to eat at too. Food is always delicious and a lot. 6 items feeds our family of 4 for 3 meals. Will always go back.

I lived in carmichael just down the st from here for 25 years and I never knew this place existed till few weeks ago me and my wife were craving for some good Chinese food and found this on Google and decided to give it a try well im furious that I never knew about this place because the food here is OMG so delicious everything was amazing cooked to perfection we got the shrimp noodles the fry rice the orange chicken and few others that I dont remember the names but OMG SO GOOD and the young lady at the counter was very nice sweet and kind I been back twice since then and is very very good

I’ve gotten blue sky before and they’re good. They’re not Panda Express, this is a family mom and pop shop. All in all, I’d say nothing to complain about. I’ve ordered shrimp chow mein and chicken chow mein before. Quality is up there. The chicken is tender and not rubbery like some joints. Although, and I hope I’m wrong, when I called in an order and asked them to have the chicken and chow mein separate (they usually mix it together), the lady over the phone said something along the lines of “oh, uh, well, uh, it’s not that we cook them earlier, but we can’t separate the chicken from the noodles because it cooks that way for flavor.” That got me a little suspicious. Come on…. It’s not like food kept warm is bad, but it sounds like she was being conservative when saying that, making me wonder how old the chow mein really is. Anyways, lol, overall good food. Can’t complain, but nothing to rave about either. 3.7ish, call it a 4 star.

I used to absolutely love this place. But now the place is a dump. Only 3 tables for guests and there's an awful looking huge divider that separates those tables and a trashy looking other half.They used to have really good Shrimp Fried Rice, but not anymore. I was so disappointed when I got my order. The rice looked days old.?. And it lacked flavor. Very bland.I could've had aV-8.

I come here about twice a month. The food is very delicious and authentic. It's hard to find good Chinese food anymore, but this is my favorite spot. You will also notice that their prices are very reasonable. There's a similar place almost adjacent to this location and they are significantly more expensive. I'm able to feed my family of 4 adults with plenty of leftovers for a couple days for around $38 for 3 main dishes.

Great food, all options good, you really can't go wrong. Good portons, enough to share. I recommend going here with a group, get 2 to 4 things and split amongst the table.

Get it to go, they only have 3 tables a definite hole in the wall but the food is fresh and delicious. Lobster shrimp is so good and not on the menu, but you can request it. I've been going for decades same owner. Do yourself a favor and make your next Chinese course from Blur Sky.
