The worst place I have ever been at and overall the worst food I have ever eaten! The reviews are all fake and are probably written by the owner. The food was left over from a week ago and it tasted like nothing. The qabuli pulao look like pieces of plastic. The kebab looked like it was cooked last year. It was dark and dry, and looked like mystery meat. The manto was full of sour onion. I don’t know what else they added which made it taste awful. The staff were wearing unprofessional clothes. I wouldn’t even recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. I feel sorry for those foreigners that think this is authentic Afghan food and culture.

The worst Afghan restaurant in the area. I don’t recommend at all, it is waste of money! The food is not fresh at all, the kababs are not made of meat and God knows what do they make it from! The staff are unprofessional and you would witness servers/waiters with their hairy chests showing, which is extremely unprofessional for a server. I would never visit this place again. The reviews are false, please don’t make the same mistake I made, going there based on google reviews.

There's no way to leave 0 stars. These reviews are a joke. We got there at 6:30, empty. We had to call out for someone. The only tables are long ones for 8 people. We seated ourselves & made our selection & asked for water, the girl disappeared. 10 minutes later I went up to the register, called out to her & asked for our water, she brought a bottle & set it down on the table. 5 minutes later I asked for a glass, she brought 1. 15 minutes later our food came with a tiny paper placemat like a paper towel & the food. 5 minutes later I asked for napkins! The food combination plate was very marginal & the lentil soup was a broth, nothing on it. It was so sad & depressing, I left a $15 tip on a $25 bill. Very, very sad experience. No one else was there when we left!

Great Afghani food. Seen it at the stop light so I decided to try for dinner. The best Afghani food in Sacramento. I ordred the Combo kaboob plate, salad and hot tea. I normally do not order chicken as most restaurant chicken is dry. All very good! Chicken was not dry. Beef was wonderful rice was very fluffy. Tea was nice and hot!Parking: 4110 Manzanita shopping center left of SafewayCarmichael

It’s not the easiest place to spot, located in the shopping center that houses Safeway, but it’s worth finding. We ordered way too much food as always: the bolani, Qabali Palaw, combination kabob plate, lentil soup, chicken curry and mantoo.Everything was incredibly good! The bolani and Qabali Palaw in particular were amazing. Bolani is a kind of flatbread filled with mashed potatoes and scallions, and this is the best version we’ve ever had. The lamb shank was perfectly cooked and the rice so fluffy and flavorful. The lentil soup had a very nice blend of seasonings and was very enjoyable. The chicken curry was quite mild but the flavor was great. The only minor thing was that the lamb kabob could have been more tender but it was still quite tasty. The owners are lovely people and the service was very friendly, but the food did take a while to come out. However it was well worth the wait! Highly recommended!

They were not open at 11:20 AM on a Sunday despite the sign outside saying it opens at 11. All the lights were off.

Loved the food here! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our chicken, lamb, and beef kabobs, along with the complimentary bread and sauces. Prices were very reasonable. It was our first time and glad we stopped in to try it.
