Matteo’s Pizza & Bistro is an amazing restaurant with lots of vegan options to choose from. They specifically list vegan options on their menu, and seem to be willing to alter menu items as well. Their South West Impossible Burger was so good, with their own house made vegan chorizo and cashew cheese. Can’t wait to go back again to try more of their amazing vegan food!

Ok, I've been sitting here for 45 min. I've seen my waitresses 2 times. One time to take my order and the other to bring my appetizer and drink. I've sat here without a drink for 20+ min. Now, I don't mind waiting for good food, but you think you could keep my drink full, check in? Nope, she could care less, drop it off, and leave. OK, foods here, wife got the chicken fettuccine, and it's terrible, absolutely bland and wet, not creamy. Olive Gardens got this place beat. I got a Chesse pizza and and the flavor and crust were really good. The rest of the pizz was absolutely soggy. So my 1st time here is my last simply because of the customer service. There are a lot of things on the menu. Maybe they had a bad day in the back it happens and I would come back to try something else. But when customer service is bad, there is no coming back. 1st and last.

I came here late afternoon on a Saturday and it wasn't busy. I sat at the bar, and the service was great. The bartender was very helpful and attentive.
Everything tasted so fresh! Started off with a dessert wine, Kiona Chenin Blanc Ice Wine. It was perfectly sweet. Ordered some garlic bread and then the Penne Bolognese. The bread was really good and buttery. The bolognese was decent, but I wish there was more seasoning and cheese. Lastly, I got the Apple Berry Crisp. It was good, but not as sweet/sugary as I would've liked. But it was perfectly crisp, and the ice cream was amazing.

If you are in the Sacramento area and have a craving for a basic no flare pasta dish that is packed full of flavor you have got to try the Penne Bolognese made with Spicy Pork, Beef Ragu, Mushrooms & Asiago Cheese. This was hands down the best Bolognese I have ever experienced. The wife ordered the Chicken Parmesan which was also delicious and I love that they paired it with a creamy marinara instead of the traditional basic red sauce. If pasta is not your thing the burger that my son ordered was also delicious and well executed. Oh and don’t skip the cheesy bread which was a Sourdough Round stuffed with Roasted Garlic Puree and 4 Cheeses with Virgin Olive Oil, Fig Balsamic & Crushed Chili’s on Side (to die for) It’s not often any more that you find a restaurant that their services is just as quality as their food. Matteo’s is top notch and even though this was my first time here I was greeted and treated like an important regular. From beginning to end the experience and food is something I find myself now craving.
Kid-friendliness: I am sure well behaved children would be appreciated at this establishment. This is more of an upscale wine bar type of environment.

I was very excited to visit this restaurant after reading so many favourable reviews, I was also glad to see Margherita pizza on the menu; however the pizza was a disaster, it was slathered with so much balsamic vinegar/glaze I couldn't eat it. The server asked how everything is, and I told her there is far too much balsamic vinegar on the pizza, there was no response from her. My husband's lobster ravioli certainly didn't match the description and he left very hungry after the very meager portion. Very disappointing, but a lovely atmosphere.

This neighborhood spot is excellent! They have a dedicated vegan menu & a patio that is stunning! Did I mention their chef is top-notch! Bring your whole family to this restaurant and everyone will be happy!
We go here for many of our special occasions. Thursday was our 60th wedding anniversary. Had BBQ pork ribs with extra coleslaw instead fries and a chardonnay. Claudia had Salmon cooked exactly the way she asked it to be done. I usually order a Mattoe's pizza to go foe snacks on the week end. Matt and Yvette the owners are there to greet you when they aren't working in the wine room. I don't know how anyone that knows more about wine than the crew at Matteo's. We eat there more than any other restaurant.

2nd Time. Sat on the Beautiful Patio adorned with a water feature and lots of greenery. They were very busy.... Friday night.Ordered Scallops with Gnocchi which was delicious. However, a few bites were a bit gritty....sand!My friend enjoyed the Halibut Fish and Coleslaw.

We were here for a team lunch and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. We had an ahi tuna salad, ceasar salad, California pizza, spicy bolognese, fettuccine alfredo, and flourless chocolate cake. Food and service were excellent!
