It was a little hard to find vegan options on the menu. There isn't a separate vegan menu or a vegan section on the menu. I did ask about cross contamination and they cook each person's meal on a separate pan. I ordered the Tree Hugger BLT. At first the server said the aioli was not vegan, but after confirming with the chef she did say that everything on my plate will be vegan. I liked the smokey flavor of the mushrooms. This adorable restaurant has great vegan and non-vegan food. Went on a date night with the hubs (who is not vegan). Food portions are perfect. Drinks also stellar. Service was excellent, will be going here again
Working on a job in Carmichael been to Mateo‘s five times now the first three times were great. The second time at 8:45 they wouldn’t serve another drink the fifth time ordered a top shelf. Margarita watch the bartender. Pour the margarita with the house. Poor questioned it And the waitress did nothing. Great restaurant just can’t go back.
