Rockyaad Jamaican Restaurant is a must-try. The stars of the meal were absolutely the fall-off-the-bone oxtail and the jerk chicken. The oxtail was rich, tender, and full of deep, comforting flavor, while the jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned with just the right balance of heat and smokiness. You can tell everything is cooked with care and authenticity. If you’re craving real Jamaican food done right, Rockyaad delivers.

I usually go to dub plate cause their food is way better but I wanted some soup they make you wait 30 mins to an hour for your food after calling ahead of time and telling you 30 mins on the phone then you get there and wait an additional 30 mins and they keep saying 10 minutes very unprofessional 0/10 I’ll never cheat on what I’m use to

I really wanted to love and support this business but the food was lackluster. The rice and peas were overcooked and had no seasoning. The curry chicken also had no flavor and watery. The only thing that was eatable was the jerk chicken and dumplings.

Goat curry with plantains! Just the right amount of spice and flavor.

I want to say first and foremost that this place serves excellent food. 😋 So it won't be the food that I am critiquing. I ordered the oxtails and for the most part it was bones 🫤 I love the food but I felt cheated. The two plates I ordered were $80. The oxtails were chopped up and there was barely any meat on the bones 😞 I don't mind paying for what I want but I do want meat and not bones 🤨.

Good authentic Jamaican food when you're away from home. I had the jerk chicken/steamed cabbage/fried dumplings/fried plantains/patties/kola champagne...everything was delicious 😋

RockYard Jamaican is a hidden gem in Carmichael. I went for lunch today and both the food and service were excellent. The portions were huge, and the jerk chicken was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The beef patty was fantastic, and every side I tried tasted great. The plantains were especially delicious. This is a special restaurant for Sacramento, and everyone should give it a try.

I had high hopes but unfortunately when I had food here for the first time the rice and peas was not fresh it was very dry. The jerk chicken had flavor but it needed the sauce on top and not on the side. Beef patty and Coco bread was decent
