Used to come here a lot but they have gone down hill since taking online orders. They are not putting quality out anymore. For example, I ordered a kids grill cheese and they wrapped a toasted bun with no cheese. The same order had no cheese for a double cheeseburger. It’s a shame because they used to be good. Don’t see it working out for them over the long run cause it’s not cheap either.

This place claims to have a chili burger similar to Tommy’s and other SoCal joints down in Southern California yet it was by far off. I ordered two triple chili cheeseburgers and they were both overcooked where the meat was charred. On top of that there was barely any chili on them and being that I came in on a Friday during dinner time you would think they make the burgers right. I can also say that the first time I had it I thought it was a bad night but the second time having it proved they just don’t know how to make a burger period. I hope the owner sees this and fixes it. Spending g $72 for 3 burgers two drinks and fries to have it being overcooked is not worth it.

Willie's is an awesome local burger joint with a wide range of delicious options. I've been enjoying their burgers and waffle fries since they opened the Carmichael location in 2004. I appreciate their involvement in supporting the local community, including schools, programs, organizations, and more. The environment is friendly, with outgoing staff and exceptional service. I believe in supporting local small businesses, and there's no better place that exemplifies what it means to be part of the Carmichael community than Willie's on Arden.
Ordered a pastrami burger and got a slice of pastrami burnt looked like a piece of bacon when it should have a pile of pastrami this is the second time and I even asked them when I ordered if they can stack pastrami on it in there pics it's piled high but when you order it they give you just a slice

Just went in for the first time for a burger and fries. I added ranch at the end, he took my money but didn’t give me ranch or tell me it’s self serve. I had no clue until I got back to work, I didn’t get any dance after paying for it. Not very helpful staff.

Chili burger had a ton of mustard but very little chili. They took iced tea off the menu. It's under new management and it shows. I will go to Willies on 16th from now on in downtown Sacramento. I was sad and disappointed.

Less than ideal experience this time around. Important to note that I Had better experiences here in the past. Burger Patties were burned around the edges (the type of burn that happens when things are cooked on a dirty flat top). Bunch of flies buzzing around all over the place. Staff were cussing loud enough for customers to hear while they were chatting with Co workers. Fries were solid!

We've been eating at Willie's for years now. The renovated interior makes for much improved atmosphere and the service remains good. But, WHAT has happened to the food??? Portion sizes on the burgers and sides we tend to order are all noticeably smaller. That is probably to be expected in these challenging economic times. But, the quality has really gone downhill. Sunday was our second visit in a row where the food really disappointed. I used to LOVE the Slammer CC and could never finish it; usually taking home half to eat another time. Now, I can finish it because its visibly much smaller but I don't really care to because it's just not as good. The onion rings have shrunk in size and how much you get and were so over fried it was like eating rocks. Ditto for the fried zucchini, or should I call them fried batter with a paper thin slice of zucchini hiding inside instead of the thick slices they used to serve; not to mention that you only get about half as much in an order. Inevitably, eventually, we'll go back at least once more because the grandkids ask to go there. But, if the food sucks a third time in a row, we're done.
Kid-friendliness: No idea if the new bar service aimed at the evening adult crowd is helping with the location's financial health, but the kid friendly atmosphere alone should keep the place doing well the rest of the time. Unlike their parents and grandparents, the kids don't really notice the drop off in the food quality. They just want to meet there with their teammates after whatever sport .
