Gar Woods Grill & Pier

Most of the food missed the mark for us all. I did not enjoy my salmon salad (arugula under dressed and not dried well, too many green bell peppers, the friend won ton wrappers, meh). The crispy fish tacos too heavily breaded and came out not hot (a bit soggy). However, really enjoyed the French onion soup and lamb pappardelle pasta was very tasty. A bit pricey for the food quality, but portions very large and beautiful setting. Our server was very friendly and attentive.

Everything was fine but holy moly it's incredibly expensive. Kids meals (include a basic pb&j) is $18! Be prepared to spend a fortune

Went for the first time and absolutely loved it. The people at the front door were welcoming and very nice. Our server, William, was awesome. I had some allergy issues and he made sure I was taken care of. There were five of us women over 60. We each got something different and we couldn't say enough good things about our meals. I would go back every time I come to Lake Tahoe!!

This place was great! Plenty of seating, great service, and the view is spectacular! There were only two things I can complain about. One it was a little chilly inside, and two I was surprised by the price of my date's drinks, she had two cocktails (woodies) which totalled $40. They were great cocktails, I tried both, the alcohol content was definitely on the double side while still tasting great, but I was surprised that they were $20 each. I will be going back anytime I'm in the Kings Beach area.

Great dining experience for lunch on a Sunday. Beautiful ambience the waiter went above and beyond to accommodate both my daughter with the gluten allergy and her friend that can't do spices. Everything was perfect. The food was delicious. I have the three sliders plate. Hardy and flavorful. I would recommend the handmade chips with onion dip as your appetizer.

Great place to eat with a beautiful patio! Drinks were great and food was good too! Walked the pier while we waited for our table and the kids loved it!

Beautiful view of the lake. Sat outside, it was the perfect weather they had warmers for anyone who wanted one. Their drink menu consisted of a variety of liquor. I had ordered clams to start, they were good. Some of us ordered pastas some salads. All was good. The place wasn't very busy while we were there but it was a little rough getting our server, although when we did he was good and friendly. Overall great place.

Really nice dining with wonderful views of Lake Tahoe. It was slightly noisier than usual, but that's because there was a table of 15 near us.

Wow what a beautiful location! We had fish tacos and Cobb salad, both just what we were looking for! Very tasty. We did a little walk out on the dock and enjoyed the last of the sun in October. Service was so polite and respectful. Thank you!

I want to start off by saying that our server, Cole, was wonderful. However, the rest of our experience was not. One person in our group ordered fish tacos and had a hair in their food. Another ordered the filet mignon, and it was gross. It had a super weird flavor (not sure if it was the marinade or what) but she had two bites and advised the manager (older gentleman with dark hair) it just was not good. The manager was completely rude, never apologized, asked if we wanted anything else (we declined), took the food back to the kitchen and still made us pay for the steak (which was $44). Definitely choose a different spot on the lake, as there are much better restaurants with better service.
