Gar Woods Grill & Pier

Disappointed in Garwoods for the first time in 30 years of coming here. Food was surprisingly mediocre. French onion soup was literally inedible and had to be returned. Service was fine if not a little slow. I hope things improve because this place used to be my favorite place to eat.

Food was fantastic. The servicer for got one of the item that we order. She ended up comping us our desert. other then that the whole experience was good.

The restaurant was able to accommodate cooking the fish we caught on the lake. It was amazing! At 2pm the restaurant was packed but they were able to seat us immediately given we had a reservation. The fish they cooked for us was excellent! The hostess went out of her way to be sure we were taken care of and that went a long way for us!

Place was packed on a Sat. Staff seemed well trained and attended to every detail within our view. Our server, Destiny, was excellent and a source of history per the vicinity. Overall a great time.

We had a fantastic experience at Gar Woods Grill & Pier! Our server, Juana, was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel welcomed and cared for. Our drinks and food arrived quickly, and everything was fresh and delicious. We were lucky to be seated upstairs with an absolutely breathtaking, unobstructed view of the lake! The excellent service, delicious food, and incredible view made for a memorable outing. We genuinely enjoyed every moment of our visit and can't wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Loved this place! We sat at a table on the beach and it was so beautiful. The food was delicious and the service was friendly!

We were seated near the bar which was really loud. Wished we'd asked to sit on the right hand side of the deck. Otherwise, always a staple to stop!

The service was great! The ahi poke tacos were outstanding along with the grilled fish tacos and the short rib street tacos. The view on the deck is very nice.

Best atmosphere on Lake Tahoe which makes it a great experience always!!! food is consistently good, as are the wet woodys. Although sometimes the woody's have enough rum but more often, they don't. Over the 25 years we've been visiting! Classic Tahoe experience every summer and year round, now that we live in Reno. Bring back the Thunderbird apparel and wooden bill hat! We chartered it last summer and it was a dream realized!

The food, service, and location were great! We were celebrating our anniversary and were willing to spend a little bit extra on a very nice dinner. This is a great place to celebrate a special event!

The food was exceptional for each of the 6 people in our party. The service was also exceptional.

Came here with a group of 10 for my sisters bachelorette and it was SO FUN amazing vibes, Diana is the best server ever. All of the staff is fantastic and went out of their way to make this a great time for our squad. Highly recommend. Amazing views and great food.

We come here every year. And enjoy every time. However this time was a lil frustrating. When we arrived for our reservation the host let us know that there was a few options. A table in direct sun inside or a 15 min wait for a shaded table. We asked if there was a way to get shaded and she said let me ask the servers. Then came back to walk us to our table. The one in direct sun. So we were confused why the options went away. We asked it the umbrella could go up. The server/host asked a manager and they said no there are winds. While we were confused why all of them were up around us and a couple not up. As we ended up inside we notice a family ask for there umbrella to go up and the staff puts it up for them. Was just a turn off. Why do for one table but not the other. Was just not accommodating what so ever. I also let the staff know it was my daughter's bday and they said they would tell the servers. As I don't expect a free dessert it would have been nice if she was at least offered the dessert menu. We spent a lot of $ there to get zero accommodating and was a disappointment to get zero acknowledged for my daughter's 12 birthday.. I'm in the industry and a these simple things could go along way to make guest feel appreciated.

Gar woods Easter buffet was very good. Spread was open and inviting. Lobster risotto was excellent I enjoyed the lobster and shrimp rolls as well as the crab legs. I didn't have the lamb or prime rib. The candy,lemon bars And cream puff were good dessert choices. The Lake was hazy but quiet

We go there several times each year, we don't live in the area. The food, service and atmosphere is always great.
