We were seated quickly and well cared for. Great servers and attentive without being intrusive. My wife and I were visiting for our twentieth anniversary and we were so impressed by this place. Comfortable ambience and the food was so good! We both had so much and while some places just seen to focus on quantity, quality, or appearance, we felt they really had amazing quality, quantity, and all of our dishes had tight and thoughtful presentation, which I did not expect on breakfast dishes. We cannot say enough and I honestly have only ever left restaurant review one other time, but felt this needed to be shared.

Finding a good breakfast place in North Tahoe was a bit of a challenge, but we came across this spot and decided to give it a try. There was a long wait — around 30 to 40 minutes — but it was absolutely worth it.

The atmosphere was cozy and full of character. The restaurant is set in an old post office, so there are fun postal touches throughout — vintage weight scales and large stamp prints on the walls add a unique charm to the space. The food was delicious and plentiful, definitely great value for the money. I ordered egg whites and later found out there was a $2.50 surcharge that the server didn’t mention. The staff seemed a bit stressed and straightforward, but given how busy it was, that made sense.

The crab cake Benedict was excellent, and the French toast was also very good. The only downside is that there’s just one restroom for everyone, so there was often a line. Still, overall a wonderful breakfast experience — highly recommended!

I'm never disappointed by OPO. The service is always great and the food is spectacular. I have yet to order off the menu where I wasn't completely satisfied 😋

This place is pretty mediocre to be honest. Food was fine, but service was definitely lacking. We were ignored for several minutes before being sat, with no one ahead of us. Our food took like 30 min to come out when the restaurant was half empty. It was simple breakfast food. We also had two different servers and couldn't easily find them to ask for time estimates. This seems like a running theme for this restaurant. Must be a top down management issue or a work culture problem. This place is fine if you’re okay with waiting a long time for simple, somewhat overpriced food I guess.

Waited half an hour for a mediocre burrito when the restaurant was barely half full. The host was apathetic and the servers were absent.
The only reason this place is still open is because it's the only breakfast spot in the area.

Slowest food service in Tahoe restaurant wasn’t even half full and took 20 minutes to be seated and over an hour to get food. Servers are nice and warned of a slow kitchen but was ridiculous how slow the food was to come out

Cosy restaurant but very busy. There is only one bathroom and the service was slow but good. Everything was clean, the food was tasty and the stuff were polite. It is a pretty little place with nice view to the forest.

Got the post master special to share with my friend, which was perfect because portions are generous. The waffle was perfectly golden, soft yet crispy edges. Perfectly cooked over easy eggs. Quick and friendly staff, thank you for a delicious breakfast.

This is your classic diner style breakfast, my favorite.
