If I could give more than 5 starts, I would. The service and food were amazing. Wish we discovered this place earlier in our trip. Definitely will be back (and can't wait)!

It's a breakfast cafe. Breakfast and lunch. Located in a remodeled house which leads to some challenges for the servers as they disappear around walls and corners. I had my usual, a Denver omelette with whole wheat toast. Food was fine. I don't know if it deserves an A, but it was fine. Service... In the hour I sat there I never saw anybody run a coffee pot around the dining room. Not once. I parked my empty coffee cup out on the corner of my table, but it was apparently invisible as servers rushed past. I was an inch away from getting up and going over to the coffee maker to get my own coffee. Come on people, this is breakfast. A coffee refill is critical. If a grade of C means average, these folks were not hitting it. Business was steady, but I would say the restaurant was 1/3 to 1/2 full. Those folks have not figured out how to serve their tables. Yes, the food was acceptable or even acceptable plus. I would return.

Just having a meal in this cool spot is a treat in itself. Amazingly kind customer service, a beautiful interior with a lot of personality, and yummy food! The menu is basic breakfast and lunch foods but they indeed do a great job. The french fries have a thin crunchy crust on the outside. They also asked me if I want my corned beef hash crunchy and I said YES thanks for asking. As someone who orders corned beef hash everywhere that offers it, I was so happy that this is the 1st place that asked for my preference! I will make sure to come back here every time I am in the area. The thought of this place puts a smile on my face.Parking: Parking lot but most of it is too wet and muddy. We ended up parking on the next street over.

I stumbled upon the Old Post Office Cafe while in the area and it immediately jumped to the top of my breakfast spot list. The pancakes are so fluffy and flavorful, primed for some real maple syrup. The eggs, sausage patties and potatoes hold up there end of the bargain as well. The inside is a little cramped but decorated with some neat stuff. What is probably the best though is the big outdoor patio and entertainment stage to enjoy the beautiful Tahoe outdoors while shoveling pancakes into your mouth.

Now I'm sitting here with 20$ is pancakes that taste like shit without syrup. This is after I tip 25% they still don't give a shit. Do not go here!!!!!

Food was good, but the place is super understaffed. They had tables open but couldn’t seat people because they didn’t have enough servers and food runners. It took us 25 minutes to get seated and another 30 minutes to get our food :( It’s definitely not the servers fault but the management.
