Unfortunately, we got served the wrong drink and burrito. Not sure if the cashier just didn't hear us correctly or if the server messed up our order, but I was disappointed to bite into a bacon burrito when we asked for vegetarian (I don't eat pork). It was takeout, so we were already gone when we realized the mistake. Our drinks were not bad, but a bit bland. The people were kind and we did like the 1 vegetarian burrito that we got correctly.

I love the Brass Bird Coffee and Kitchen. It checks all of the boxes: great flavorful food and beverages, wonderful fresh baked goods, tasty snacks and sandwiches, and a fabulous location with lots of free parking. The staff is very accommodating and friendly and they make wonderful drinks of all kinds served in a relaxed atmosphere. The outdoor patio is dog friendly, has great Wi-Fi reception (great place to work) and also has heaters and a nice fountain. It fits in perfectly with Carpinteria's relaxed small beach city charm. The menu is constantly changing with new seasonal food items, fresh new bakery selections, and seasonal beverages. There are several gluten free items to chose from and many organic choices as well. It is also a great place to enjoy a glass of wine or champagne, lunch or breakfast and when available brunch. I don't generally drink soft drinks but they make several house made sodas that are absolutely delicious without being too sweet. I particularly like the watermelon lime soda. When visiting Carpinteria make sure and visit this wonderful place. You will not be sorry.

I'm not usually all that effusive, but this place is excellent. Huevos rancheros, avocado toast, and pastries. All of them were good to excellent.

I love this place...if I lived a little closer, I'd be here all the time. I had the Smoked Salmon Toast. Beautiful and tasty. The bread was so good! My companion had the Breakfast BLT and he loved it. (I had a bite...so good. It had a yummy smokey flavor.) We also got espresso drinks; Me: Vanilla Mocha; He: the seasonal Havana Latte. They were both amazing. Can't go wrong when they're brewing Beacon coffee. They also have these housemade sparklers that sounded really good. Can't wait to go back and try other stuffs. This is an Order-at-the-Counter and take-a-seat place. The person taking our order was kind and generally great...even though the phone was ringing and there was just a lot going on. There is a ton of seating so even though there were a lot of people we did not have any trouble finding a place to sit....got a nice table near the fire pit.Everything about the experience was perfect.

Just had a cappuccino and a croissant: both were good and I was pleased to see they used coffee from a local roaster, Beacon

The breakfast sandwich is great. Breakfast burrito is disappointing. They offer Renaud's excellent almond croissants. Employees are very nice.

Pleasant place with a nice atmosphere. Cashier was super nice. Ordered 2 coffees blended. Only 1 came blended and the other was hot. After I brought this to their attention they became pretty rude. Vickie the manager on duty had an attitude that the drink needed to be remade. Coffee wasn't very good either. Was disappointed for driving out of the way to come here when I could have gotten the same quality coffee from a fast food diner

Everything was great except that the pancakes tasted undercooked. But maybe it was because of the ricotta?Overall it was a pleasant

I’ve come a few times now. Delicious every time!I’m gluten-free and they have a gluten-free bread that is homemade and delicious. I’ve had it with the Tartine and now the chicken pesto sandwich and both times it was wonderful. they do toast the bread in the same toaster as the regular bread and the woman at the counter asked if that was OK. For me that’s fine but for those who have celiac it’s nice that they at least asked and maybe you just won’t be able to have your bread toasted.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options are delicious

Something for everyone and everything is great. Best breakfast sandwich in the county.

Great staff, great food. I am happy they opened, and have a wonderful balance of outdoor areas. Never once has there been a lack of seating! The pasteries are very, very good, and they told me they have very friendly eco-policies in place for recycling and composting organic scraps. As a proffesional with lots of coffee meetings, this is the perfect spot.
