“Went here for lunch and mostly ordered off their specials menu where they were offering some Louisiana staples like crawfish and gumbo. Food is pretty good but overpriced, although most food in this area is. Waitstaff are about average. I would come back if I want seafood but don't want to leave Carp but not likely to go out of my way for it. Breakfast menu image added because I didn't see it listed.”

“Went for breakfast as a recommendation from a chef, and it was so good… the bacon was actually crispy (as requested). Then we had a party of 9 the same day and decided to do take out. Again, everyone said their dishes were delicious. Plus the staff are genuinely friendly and appreciate the business. We are new to Carp, and will go back and recommend often! Thank you!”

“Some of the freshest, best tasting Thai food I have had in a nice, family owned restaurant in Carpinteria. Better than places in NYC and downtown LA. Good size portions, great prices for the quality of food, and great service. Tonight was Prik King Beef and Laos style Khao Soi..but every dish has been 10/10 each visit!”

“We stopped in for breakfast on our way up the coast of Cali. Everything we ate and drank was delicious. I ordered the Hibiscus cold brew, the carmelised onion and goat cheese quiche, and the banana bread. Not only is everything fresh and tasty- the ambience is amazing 🤩 I think I'd fly back out just to visit this cafe 🥰”

“My family really enjoys Uncle Chen’s. They make vegan dishes! We let tthem we eat vegan and they let us know the batter isn’t and they can pan fry the tofu without. Delicious! Sweet & sour tofu yum!”

“I was in town for several days and every time we drove down Carpinteria Avenue, we noticed this particular corner eatery patio was packed throughout the day and night. Adults and kiddos out there eating and drinking. I made a mental note to myself to check 'em out. That I did ... I went there for lunch.

They share a shopfront with Dang's burgers. Walk into the building and smack to the left is the Dang's burger ordering counter. To the right is Sunburst Wine Bar. The bar has a bar counter and chairs. The interior look is modern, unpretentious casual. Bright with lots of natural light. But if you're looking for a TV, they don't have any. The vibe is chill, unpretentious, welcoming, and family friendly. Family friendly bar?!? No, kids aren't allowed at the counter but are allowed on the outside patio and well as leashed dogs. The patio seating is tables and bench seating.

The bar menu has draft beers, local wines. and canned drinks. They have flights. While partaking in a drink at the bar, you can even eat your Dang's food at the bar as well. The bartender was engaging with a great attitude.”

“After going to this incredible Italian restaurant, I will never go anywhere else for Italian food. It’s magical! We always try to get a table on the Patio, it makes you feel like you’re in an enchanted chateau. We’ve tried many of the entrees, and although some are more enticing to us than others, none have disappointed! All the food is amazing. To top it all off, the staff is friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and welcoming. If you’re looking for great food with a great staff, go to Gianfranco’s Trattoria!!!”

“We have been enjoying breakfast burritos from Reynaldo’s for about ten years now. We’ve always admired their wedding cake display, and said when we got married we’d get our cake from them. Well we got married on the beach June 4th, and the cake far exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful and delicious! We also got gluten free and vegan cupcakes which were fantastic as well!”

“Tacos (we had asada) were good street tacos packed with meat! Quality onions to go with the cilantro and limes. Salsas (all 3) were really good too! Fresh chips not store bought were tasty. We waited about 7 to 10 minutes for our order but it was hot and good. Worth it especially after not being able to get good authentic Mexican food for a couple of months. They didnt have a lot of choices on the menu but what they had they do well. We will be back for sure. Everything was fresh. Be careful not to wait in one line like we did. The ice cream shop on the left side had a long line. Be sure to go in the door and to the right to order food. enjoy!”
