Mollie is adorable and the food was wonderful. It's like walking into her kitchen (not a fast paced in-out place!).
This is a small and casual Italian restaurant, whose chef learned Italian food over many years in Italy. The result is absolutely authentic and delicious pasta--the seafood spaghetti was spectacular. Her ciabatta is baked fresh every day. Don't be fooled by the location of this restaurant, nor by its informal appearance. Mollie serves genuine Italian food which is worth a detour.

Mollie's Kitchen is a hidden gem in Carpinteria and Santa Barbara. The food is delicious, and the spaghetti bolognese is the best. The lasagne bolognese is also outstanding. The pasta dishes are the best. The owner is so sweet, and the staff are accommodating and friendly. The food is prepared quickly. The prices and portions are fantastic. The atmosphere is decent, a subtle mix between an Italian street restaurant and a suburban shopping mall. Plastic toss away cups should be replaced with actual glassware. Service can drop the ball if the server leaves. The food is very traditional Italian. Overall, it is a great experience. Don't miss it.
