“Owners are friendly, down to earth genuine people. The setting is fantastic to meet people and drink good beer as you wave at the travelers on the occasional Pacific Surfliner going by. I highly recommend it. Stop by on late weekend afternoons and listen to good music.“

“We had 8 bicycle riders today from Ventura to Carpenteria. We eat at Hugo's occasionally on a breakfast bicycle ride from Ventura. Service is always excellent and the food was really prepared well today. Combined with a nice day it was a good place to stop for breakfast on our ride.“

“Went for breakfast as a recommendation from a chef, and it was so good… the bacon was actually crispy (as requested). Then we had a party of 9 the same day and decided to do take out. Again, everyone said their dishes were delicious. Plus the staff are genuinely friendly and appreciate the business. We are new to Carp, and will go back and recommend often! Thank you!“

“Esau’s is a quaint little diner in Carpinteria near the beach. There is free public parking about a block away. We ate outside on their tables beside the restaurant and it was very pleasant. They serve breakfast and lunch. My sister and I tried it out today. We chose the trio tip burrito and the Monte Cristo sandwich done French toast style. The waitress was very sweet. She allowed us to make a substitution on the burrito without a problem. I really enjoyed the Montecristo. Our waitress explained how it was made when we asked her questions. It was pretty yummy. We split both meals and were completely stuffed so that we couldn’t finish.“

“We stopped in for breakfast on our way up the coast of Cali. Everything we ate and drank was delicious. I ordered the Hibiscus cold brew, the carmelised onion and goat cheese quiche, and the banana bread. Not only is everything fresh and tasty- the ambience is amazing 🤩 I think I'd fly back out just to visit this cafe 🥰“

“Better than In-and-Out. Better than Shake Shack. Better than Five Guys. Truly the best burger I’ve ever tried. We stayed in the area for 3 days and ate at Dang Burger twice. If you’re in the area, give it a shot. You’ll be glad you did.“

“We have been enjoying breakfast burritos from Reynaldo’s for about ten years now. We’ve always admired their wedding cake display, and said when we got married we’d get our cake from them. Well we got married on the beach June 4th, and the cake far exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful and delicious! We also got gluten free and vegan cupcakes which were fantastic as well!“
