“We had 8 bicycle riders today from Ventura to Carpenteria. We eat at Hugo's occasionally on a breakfast bicycle ride from Ventura. Service is always excellent and the food was really prepared well today. Combined with a nice day it was a good place to stop for breakfast on our ride.“

“Excellent breakfast fare! I had the pasilla chile omelette with green sauce and beans, with a biscuit. Ate a half of the omelette, none of the beans or biscuit. Lots of leftovers! The El Salvodorean coffee was strong and delicious. Highly recommended! Oh, yeah, we ordered two buttermilk pancakes on the side and they were yummy, too!“

We always try to get a table on the Patio, it makes you feel like you’re in an enchanted chateau. We’ve tried many of the entrees, and although some are more enticing to us than others, none have disappointed! All the food is amazing. “We have been enjoying breakfast burritos from Reynaldo’s for about ten years now. We’ve always admired their wedding cake display, and said when we got married we’d get our cake from them. Well we got married on the beach June 4th, and the cake far exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful and delicious! We also got gluten free and vegan cupcakes which were fantastic as well!“

“Tacos (we had asada) were good street tacos packed with meat! Quality onions to go with the cilantro and limes. Salsas (all 3) were really good too! Fresh chips not store bought were tasty. We waited about 7 to 10 minutes for our order but it was hot and good. Worth it especially after not being able to get good authentic Mexican food for a couple of months. They didnt have a lot of choices on the menu but what they had they do well. We will be back for sure. Everything was fresh. Be careful not to wait in one line like we did. The ice cream shop on the left side had a long line. Be sure to go in the door and to the right to order food. enjoy!“
