“Came into town for the first time and stumbled into this fine establishment. Glad we did, this place rocks! The food was amazing, the beers on tap were outstanding, we tried as many as we could.

“Super cute local coffee shop with solid breakfast and lunch. Specifically their cashew milk made in house is yum.
The staff is wonderful and warm (hey Andrew! hey Corey!), and the book wall makes the space warm and inviting (and provides good gift options). Outdoor patio is spacious, though make sure you find an umbrella to escape the heat.
It gets quiet enough to do laptop work mid morning and then after the lunch rush. The Sunday morning farmers market rush is real, so be prepared to wait (or buy tamales from the tamale stand next door).“

“Delicious food, a joyful setting, and happy staff. The Tibetan MOMO , Indian curry sushi burrito was very tasty. but there was a large selection on their menu, they even have lots of sushi, and it was delicious. Highly recommend it and would eat here again.“

“Came here for my birthday celebration and everything from food to service to ambience was phenomenal. My favorite was the quail! Dined with an Italian (who is a bit of a snob when it comes to his country's cuisine) and even he was impressed. Wish it was closer to home. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Ojai.“

“I've been here about 10 times now with my wife and kids. Tried several menu items and have always been pleased with quality, quantity and taste.
Family owned and run, the staff is very nice. This will continue to be our go to spot for lunch here in Ojai.
Give it a try, great way to support small local business.

“I flew in from Boston and my mom is from up the coast in Santa Margarita. This was a perfect start to our Ojai experience. Delicious meal. So many options and we each enjoyed or respective meals: Mango Snapper and Quinoa Greens, and Grilled veggie Quesadilla. Delish! All on the cozy, charming patio strung with festive lights.“

“Came here for an early dinner as part of a girls day out last minute. A hidden gem! The food and drinks were great, service was also great, but that might be because we were the only ones in the whole restaurant. I hope they can drum up more business, especially on a Saturday night. The interior ambience and decor needs a refresh and the hostess podium outside needs to be manned. The menu needs an update as well, this place has a lot of potential just needs to be marketed better. We would come again next time we're in town.“

“Busy Sunday, but didn’t have to wait too long. They were out of all sorts of food and beer, this really miffed the young ladies behind the counter who were then charged with telling every customer that. We grabbed the food pretty quick, all three orders were outstanding. The Jalapeño Bacon Smash burger was something I will be back for.

“We live just right outside the boundaries for delivery for this location. So if we order late at night, we will just use Circle Ks address next door, and they will just walk our pizza over and deliver to our car. The other night, I had lost my car keys and couldn’t make it to Circle K when they were ready, but Jason from Dominos called me, saying he was just about off his shift, and offered to deliver our food to the house, even though it’s out of their delivery boundary. I gotta admit, that’s the kind of person that will keep me going back as a loyal customer. Small acts of kindness make a huge impact and employees like that who do just a little extra, just to be nice make the whole experience a more positive one! Jason should get a raise for easily being a 5 star employee.“

“The team made me and my girlfriend's anniversary feel very special with an excellent view and quality of service, shoutout to our server Kate. We had the fried chicken bites and ahi tuna crudo to start. Fried chicken bites were tasty but some parts were mostly breading. However, the sauce and seasoning were on point. The crudo was very light and carried by the pickled onions and avocado sauce and made for a great starter before getting into heavier dishes. There was a special on the New York strip so we opted for that as well as a side of mac and cheese and broccolini. The broccolini had a lovely char to it and the lemon on the side adds a necessary zest. The mac and cheese was truly the star of the show with a generous portion and deep flavor in the sauce. The New York strip was delicious as well with the compound butter adding extra flavor and richness to the cut. Overall, The Oak is lovely for a lovely date that doesn't have the, at times, stale atmosphere of fine dining restaurants, but provides food, service, and views that are close to that level.“
