“Okay but Ojai on a weekday with actual energy??? I was shook (in a good way).
Yes, technically we have The Hub holding it down till 2am… but overall let’s be real, Ojai is a sleepy town. So walking into Radio Roma felt like a plot twist.
The vibe? Dim, cozy, a little moody in that effortless way. It’s on the smaller side but it works. There’s a loft upstairs you can actually see from below, which adds to the whole layered, intimate feel.
The hi-fi listening room is what really sets it apart. Vintage sound system, DJs actually curating music, people tuned in. Not just filler noise, it’s a whole moment.
Cocktails were solid, especially if you’re into mezcal. They’re known for it and it shows. The mezcal Negroni?? Yeah… that’s the one. Smooth, balanced, a little smoky, dangerously easy to keep ordering.
Service is easygoing, no fuss. Grab a drink at the bar and head upstairs to the loft for the best view, trust.
Haven’t tried the food yet so can’t speak on that (for now), but between the music, the crowd, and the drinks alone… I’ll definitely be back.“

“I came here she micheladas and appetizers with a friend. First time I got chips and salsa and was disappointed. They didn’t have guacamole and their salsa was a miss for me. The spicy sauce was really spicy though so I liked that but no flavor. Their French fries though are incredible. They taste like McDonald’s fries and they give you double the amount for only $4. I’ve never had a Michelada before but I feel like it could have been better. And the mix was just ok. Will still go back for one and definitely for the fries. The decor is not it. Cobwebs on the walls everything looks outdated. The booths are dark and dingy. Not a good place for a date night. Stick to the drinks and fries and you’ll be fine.“

“First off, one of the only places in Ojai that had INDOOR seating with AC. Every restaurant we went to all had patio seating. It was 107 degrees. Who on God's green earth wants to melt outdoors while eating!?!?
I ordered 2 tacos plus some sort of open face burrito. The tacos were very good with lots of meat...gear those for sure. The beef and chicken were both tasty. The open faced burrito, I forget the name of the dish. I didn't like it at all.
The decor is pretty awful and dated. Could use an update. Take most of the tchotchkes off the walls, fresh pain on the walls, update the tables and chairs, and this could be a much nicer Mexican restaurant.
You have something most places don't have indoor real estate for people to eat inside to get away from the heat. Also very easy to make a simple Margherita you can offer customers and boost sales.“

“I flew in from Boston and my mom is from up the coast in Santa Margarita. This was a perfect start to our Ojai experience. Delicious meal. So many options and we each enjoyed or respective meals: Mango Snapper and Quinoa Greens, and Grilled veggie Quesadilla. Delish! All on the cozy, charming patio strung with festive lights.“

“Yes five stars for Taco Bell I only gave the Waldorf Astoria in Panama 3 or 2 I don't remember. The Waldorf was claiming to be something they were not. Taco Bell exceeded my expectations. I had the five layer burrito and they gave it to me for free because I signed up for the app. I had low expectations I asked for extra onions hot sauce and Diablo sauce. Okay I know it's plebeian, but the Diablo sauce rocks for something out of a squeeze pack. Didn't charge me anymore although it was free anyway. Albeit, smaller than I expected but completely satisfying. I wholeheartedly recommend Ojai Taco Bell if you want some fast food and don't want to patronize Mickey D's. I go to Mickey D's often because they have clean bathrooms and that is it. I can't promote the grooming. 7,700,000+ Google views and counting. Level 8 Google guide. All for fun and free because I want to know places to go to that I will enjoy and have a good time at so I know what to expect.“
