“The ambiance is great and the drinks and food are delicious but severely overpriced. They started off doing $5 tacos which is pricey but fine for the quality of the food but quickly hiked up their prices. Considering the quality which im well aware of as I’ve made many of these dishes myself (I’m Mexican) I’m still willing to pay their prices.
That being said, the pricing for some of the simpler items on menu like quesadillas are absurd in my opinion. Small tortillas with cheese and watercress for $7.50 each is just insulting to my heritage. $6.50 for mole, sure, that’s a complicated dish. $7.50 for cheese in a tortilla, no. Please be more judicious in your pricing and menu building.“

“Nice spot to take a cool load off, drink a beer and eat delish food. I ordered the chile relleno burro, perfect balance of umami and the cheese pull would make any gen Z happy. Trust me, it’s worth a try - add carne asada and leave the rice out.“

“I flew in from Boston and my mom is from up the coast in Santa Margarita. This was a perfect start to our Ojai experience. Delicious meal. So many options and we each enjoyed or respective meals: Mango Snapper and Quinoa Greens, and Grilled veggie Quesadilla. Delish! All on the cozy, charming patio strung with festive lights.“

Perfect spot for a date night. Upscale but not too fancy. Phenomenal food and service!
Ordered the tomato with Stracciatella, asado chicken, and potato & poblano gratin. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious!

“This location is 1000% better than the midtown Ventura one. I happily drive up from West Ventura to this one. Thanks for always being friendly and providing good portion sizes. Been a fan of this location since 5th grade when it opened in '93 or '94 I believe, and everyone in town got it for lunch! 😋 Keep it up.“
