Nice spot to take a cool load off, drink a beer and eat delish food. I ordered the chile relleno burro, perfect balance of umami and the cheese pull would make any gen Z happy. Trust me, it’s worth a try - add carne asada and leave the rice out.
Best fresh Mex in Ojai! Stone ground, made fresh corn tortillas! Brst refries ( beans) in town!!

La Fuente is a small, simple Mexican restaurant in a convenient Ojai location. It is a great local spot with good food, fast service, and very reasonable prices. The food is tasty, full of flavor, and made with fresh ingredients. Standout dishes include the chile relleno, burritos, and excellent tamales, especially the ones ordered every Christmas Eve. The tacos are very good with lots of meat. The self serve salsa bar is a highlight, with a smoky Roja salsa. The setting is simple with some inside seating and AC, which is a welcome relief on hot days. Parking is limited but available. While the decor is pretty awful and dated, the food is always reliable. Take out is available for picnic plans.
