“I have extremely high standards when it comes to customer service. I know that. I admit it. 🌮 I’ve worked across multiple industries, I used to audit businesses for a living, I’m from Chicago, and it is genuinely VERY rare for a business to impress me.

These people impressed me.

My situation was unusual, and there was an issue with my first experience. But what impressed me was how they handled it. There was no blame game, no defensiveness, no “us versus you” mentality. It was simply: Okay, here’s what happened. How do we work together and make this right?

THAT is customer service.

I genuinely feel like we’re losing that as a society. So many businesses have forgotten that customer service isn’t about never having a problem — it’s about what you do when there is one. Victor, Louise, and the people here GET IT.

They listened. They cared. They communicated. They worked with me. They treated me like an actual human being instead of a transaction.

And those little things matter. That old-school, community-business mentality of actually caring whether somebody walks away happy? They still have it.

I couldn’t even eat my food the first time around because of my particular situation, and now I’m literally on my way to pick it up again and I’m EXCITED. 🌮

And because I know somebody will inevitably read a review like this and think they can take advantage of nice people: DON’T. My circumstances were extremely unique. I had immediate video evidence of what happened, and because of some logistical issues, we had to work out an unusual solution. This is not me advertising a loophole. Please do not make good, kindhearted people regret being good, kindhearted people.

I have really, really, really high standards when it comes to service.

“Para el dueño: Cual es su regla de regreso cuando se vende un producto que está echado a perder? El Viernes 10/21 compramos comida como muchas veces ya que somos clientes desde hace 4 años. Uno de los productos fue una jaiba imitación, la pedimos en la carnicería y no la dieron en una bolsa, al llegar a casa nos dimos cuenta que estaba echada a perder, no pensamos que fuera un problema, nunca nos había pasado y este producto no es de su tienda solo lo revenden. Esta actitud es inaceptable, dudo que el dueño quiera sepa o esté de acuerdo con la actitud de esta mujer. No volveremos a esta tienda y haremos todo lo posible para que le gente sepa de esto y ya no compren aquí.“

“Paris may have its sidewalk cafes, but Camarillo has this gem! Great eats at fair prices. I love their outside sidewalk tables overlooking El Camino Real, US 101. Dining while counting fire trucks and imagining commuters/travelers on their way to wonderful exotic destinations is another reason why I keep returning.“

“I went to Sharkys with my 13wk old puppy to start practicing sitting nicely at a restaurant. I carried him in to pick up, and asked if there is an option to have the food brought outside (I dont want to be that rule breaker, bringing in pets that are not service dogs) The server was really sweet and explained, I just have to order to eat in, and they will find me outside. PS - he did great!“

“Food is consistent and good, I love their shrimp taco salad and never had an issue. Portion size is generous. The taco shell is nice and crispy and nice flavor. Salsa bar is my favorite and the shack sauce is the best!

The service is good, they are attentive. We placed an online order and ordered 20oz horchata, we noticed it wasn’t filled all the way but we didn’t make much fuss to them but we just briefly commented amongst ourselves. Went we went out the door then one of the staff members chased us out to the parking lot and gave us a small cup of Horchata. They go above and beyond to satisfy you!! Keep up the good work! :)“

“Real crab in the burrito-peefect.The Cancun burrito which had grilled fish and real crab, had an amazing flavor. It comes with tortilla which is great with the salsa bar. Great flavors, ch I ices and pther items at the self service bar. Especially the Habanero. Staff are welcoming and friendly which is a high point. I wished the burrito was a little larger, but with the chips amd crab is filling. I cannot wait to come back again. Overall, 10/10. Flavor 10/10. Cleanliness 10/10. “This place has been consistent for many many years let’s get into it.

There’s plenty of parking, that’s never an issue.
Upon walking in I was greeted immediately.
The interior is very clean and has good seating.

The menu is easy to understand and the ordering counter is simple.

I’ve had mostly everything from here. And what’s funny about it. Is I feel their chicken quesadilla is one of the best in the entire US.
Something simple KEPT simple. And it does SO well.
Chicken is always tender, fresh and seasoned very well.
Right amount of cheese.
Not greasy at all.

So would I recommend this place?
Absolutely.
If you want some good Americanized Mexican food.
This is definitely a go to.
By no means is it authentic what so ever.
But is it fresh? Yes.
Does it have flavor? Absolutely.

“This is a great place for street tacos! We had chrizo tacos that were out of this world! They have an amazing salsa bar too! You can get a great meal for under $10! 🌮🌮🌮“

Walking in you see the amazing mural they have on the back wall but you also get an instant aroma of the delicious food they have brewing. Jesse’s friendly face at the counter invites you in and his knowledge of the food leaves you conflicted on what to order. I had a classic, their menudo. It came with handmade tortillas and their taco bar has the most flavorful red salsa I’ve ever had. Perfect combination for the menudo. I also had an agua fresca. Their cucumber mint was refreshing. My girlfriend had their pozole. Although I didn’t taste it I couldn’t help but steal one of her tostadas, slap on some of that red salsa and some cheese and sour cream. To finish it off we had a plátano frito with lechera. Honestly, everything was to die for. Will definitely be back for more. We were left with a craving for their specialty, their huarache.“

If you live in SoCal, what do they do for a break?In Toronto, if you get bored and want a weekend of craziness, you head to Montreal. If you want peace and quiet, you head north. Well San Fran is 5 hours away and a change of pace and weather would be good right? I'm packed up in the car already and my SoCal friend is available to make the trip. Cool! This is not the norm and had I not been seated against the wall between people I would have gone up to the counter for a re-do. “I come to this place every Friday and that is not an exaggeration, I absolutely love this place. Everything on the regular and specials menu is amazing and I’m always finding something new. The margaritas are always terrific and Jordan, the bartender/unofficial face if Los Agaves, is super nice and often times knows my family’s drink/food order even before we do.

Also, the manager, Carlos, always does a great job taking care of all the tables, checking in occasionally throughout the meal.

I cannot recommend this place and the molcajete sauce enough.“

“I have been LOOKING for some really good mexican tacos out here because I just moved here. After trying 4 places, I found this place and got 5 chorizo tacos and man they were so good and the box it came in was just loaded with cilantro and onion on the top of the tacos. Very good place for street tacos. Just wish it came with lime but there was 2 little cups of salsa Verde and regular salsa and that on the tacos was really good and the chorizo was so flavorful and seasoned, I will definitely come back.“

“If you have $10 in your pocket, you can feast like a king here. Tacos are $3 a piece and very authentic. And they are not shy about portions. The price to quality ratio here is insane. Best tacos in town by far and they happen to be the most affordable.

The burritos are not massive but they are very flavorful and filling. All of their salsas are great too. The staff are very friendly and give great service. Amazing churros and fried plantains! I’ve had nearly everything on the menu and none of it has disappointed. You really can’t make a bad choice here.“
