“Quaint local lunch spot that takes you backIn time with the old timey Coca Cola sandwich shop & hangout decor. If you want to see people hustle to fill orders like never before, well hop on in! The owner is so nice and they take pride in fresh ingredients always cooked/cut/prepped etc. to perfection I don't eat meat and have only ever had the vegetarian sandwich and it is the best one I've ever had!!!! The rest of my family have ordered various sandwiches and have always been very satisfied. They even have a room where I see people of all ages playing various games. Please support this local gem as they truly are one of a kind.”

“Placed a pick up order and we got the spicy miso ramen and katsu curry udon. Seriously some of the best ramen I’ve had in a long time and I’m so happy we finally have a good ramen spot in Newbury Park! We will definitely be planning to dine in, but this is going to be our go to ramen spot from now on! Can’t wait to be back for more! Highly recommended!”

“Came on a Saturday night for a karaoke date with the boyfriend and thought this was a totally cute spot! 20 or so beers on tap and I was stoked to see they had two sours! Really enjoyed the Strawberry Province. Bartenders were really sweet and knowledgeable about their beers. We were served by Hannah who was super friendly. Would definitely come back! Side note: Karaoke only on Saturdays.”

“Wow! I just left here and started sipping this in my car and was completely surprised by how delicious this smoothie was! The gent who helped me was very nice and attentive and helped me go with the strawberry chocolate banana smoothie. I ordered an extra protein scoop as well. It's a bit out of my way, but I'll definitely be coming back whenever I charge nearby.”

Something I never thought I needed, but I was pleasantly blown away by the flavors of this tandoori chicken pizza with medium spicy flavoring. It was freshly baked & full of delicious flavors (great depth in taste) ! Love the creative spin on pizza with indian cuisine influences! Worker only knew limited English, but luckily other yelp reviews came in handy. They also played nice bollywood music on the tv which was fun to listen to while waiting. Would love to try their other unique twists in the future!”

“Loved this place, and wish there was one closer to us in North Hollywood. We happened to be in Thousand Oaks so gave it a try. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. We had the Hawaiian BBQ plate and it was so good, right down to the rice and the macaroni salad.”

“This maximalist Indian bar and grill offers stimulation with a capital S. There is a giant flatscreen TV on a wall showing 90s Bollywood hit songs and a playful interior dotted with a straight-from-Punjab tumbi and Jago chhajj that reminds me of a traditional Indian pub in Southall. Plus, the food is just fun. Channa bhatura, pani puri, and bhel puri are street food options in India, but this is the first north-of-the-valley joint that actually serves them up in traditional Punjabi style. Expect all the usual favourites like dal makhani, curries, and doughy, butter-brushed naan cooked exceedingly well. A myriad of lamb options for the finicky carnivores. And loads of standout, traditionally seasoned vegan options for dedicated Angelenos. Tandoori paneer are beautifully layered with a light tandoori masala vs. a typically heavier yoghurt marinade, making it a light snack to enjoy before dinner. And our favorite is a bountiful veg biriyani--colourful veggies, brimming with saffron, fluffy rice, and a touch of herbaceous spices. Definitely add on an order of the homemade gulab jamun, which melts in your mouth with its rich and decadent texture crafted to perfection. Add in impeccable service, fair prices, and inventive dishes from the husband/wife owners and you have an elevated Indian eatery you'll want to go to often as an escape from the mediocrity of those Indian valley options.”

“Came looking for a place to do some online work for a few hours and get some avocado toast. I’m often disappointed by avo toast at places or think it’s overpriced but it was definitely above my expectations here! Delicious and huge portions. Workers were sweet, cafe was clean, organized and easy to hear/see when your order is ready. Will come back”

“Great coffee! I've been a couple times since the new owners have taken over and they just keep getting better! So far I've tried a couple drinks and they're good!! I will preface by saying I'm very particular about my espresso in my drinks but these are good to satisfy my sweet tooth as they are very sweet.Churro latte *not pictured*: OMG SO GOOD!!! It is on the sweeter side and the espresso was a little bitter but honestly that worked great as it balanced out the sweetened so I didn't mind. I loved the cinnamon sugar (crunchy bits) and honestly would go back every day for this drink.Concha Cold Foam *pictured below*: SO GOOD!! I have never tried cafe de olla and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it! The strawberry cold foam went great with the coffee and the complimentary concha was such a good pickup for this morning!I've been visiting conejo coffee since I was young but had been out off by the past service when the old owners were there. These last couple times have been great and super friendly! It's a cute small coffee shop with lots of comfortable seating and such a great cozy atmosphere.”

“What's not to love about a true neighborhood ice cream parlor! I've been to Coaches a couple of times and have been very satisfied with the customer service and the quality of the ice cream. The variety is extensive and the portions are plentiful as well. I typically go for the banana walnut and pair it with something unique.I really like the sports themed vibe Coaches puts out there. It's done well enough to get a few smirks from me but doesn't bludgeon you cheesy sports tchotchkes. Glad to see Coaches doing so well that they expanded to Moorpark! Looking forward to checking out that location soon!”

“1st off, we will be back. My wife and I stopped in early (about 4:45pm), so we did not want a full dinner. We ordered the Spicy Ahi Tartar (5 stars) the Steak bites (5 stars) and Garlic Brussels Sprouts (3 stars--under cooked but good the next day). Service was polite enough, but not very attentive (3 stars). We were seated inside in a nice quite booth. It appeared that most of their customers were outside on their patio or at the bar (those are the only two places the Happy Hour menu & prices apply). Next time, we'll come a bit later and do a full dinner--stay tuned...”

“The food quality and service has always been great at this restaurant. However, the menu was very limited. We were pleasantly surprised at last nights visit when we saw that they had expanded the menu. There are now plenty of appetizer and entree options. My son loved the smash burger. The chicken piccata was also excellent as was the steak.”

“First time trying out Ameci and boy oh boy did it deliver! I was not expecting to eat some of the best pizza I've ever had! Tried their Single slice pepperoni combo for less than $7, which included a drink! You can't beat that price! The slice was cooked to perfection! It was a very large slice as well, which was definitely filling! And you get free ranch! Staff was great and very welcoming! Hands down a must go if you are in the area and looking for some amazing pizza!”

“This is a good choice for Hunan and Sichuan-style cooking with some home-style flare. Dishes are slightly made for an American palate from this family restaurant. The attention to detail is excellent which makes dining here very enjoyable. What is notable is that every dish is not overly seasoned nor greasy. This is not a Chinese greasy spoon. Most entrees' pricing pushes fine dining price points at nearly $20. The lunchtime specials are very reasonable giving you a nice variety of flavors. The decor is clean and may resemble a tea room, but you'll feel at home with the good service.”

“Just tried this place for the first time and I was highly impressed. I've had spicy tangerine beef at probably 9 different Chinese restaurants and this place was by far superior. We get Chinese food once a week and I feel that you get great value fir your money here. The food was delicious and delivery was fast. “It's inside a gas station so you may miss it as I did. Lol I wanted something refreshing but not heavy so I ordered small mango gelati. It was so good and I know I'll be back. I'm glad to know there's one here in Cali. When I lived on the East coast I went all the time to Rita's. “Love going to Sumo Japanese Restaurant in Newbury Park. It's a halfway spot for myself & one of my good friends. We enjoy coming for dinner & definitely here for the yummy Happy Hour. It's a pretty good happy hour offering sushi & drinks. Service has been great, they are on top of things. Restaurant is smaller with a casual vibe. Their sister Sumo Restaurant is located in Ventura. The very first time I came here, I wasn't sure where the restaurant was. If you're lucky you can snag a spot in the front parking lot. There's also more parking on the left side (facing the front of building), & there's additional parking if you go up the lot on the right.”

“I loved this place, and the friendly vibe I got from the place. The owner happened to be walking around while doing stuff, and she would say something to each of the customers. Watching from a distance, it all seemed to happen, so naturally, it was a delight to see how many smiles she had created. She was an inspiration to the patrons and employees alike! You might say she lit up the room! She had me try a spicy sauce, which was apparently a spin-off of one of their BBQ sauces. It was delicious as well as the rest of my meal. In my opinion, you must try this place for yourself! It was Fabulous!”

“Why did no one tell me Boney Mountain is serving up some of the best pizza in the 805?! I really wish I had known as I would have tried this spot much sooner. I only tried this spot for takeout so I can't review the restaurant itself or a dine in experience but for takeaway/delivery I was definitely impressed with this spot. The food was super good and everything was packaged with care, no sauces missing, just a good attention to detail type place which is a win when ordering takeout. Also I felt the prices were pretty reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. The real star here is the pizza! Like OMG their pizza is perfectly cheesy and the toppings were generous. One of the best pizzas I've had in the 805 if you love a classic pie, it's not trendy or anything but at the end of the day a real classic pizza trumps all these hipster pizzas for me any day. I'm not a huge pizza fan so the fact that I've been craving it says a lot. 5 stars on the pizza! Also I tried the wings and they were middle of the road. Good but I'm sure they would have tasted better fresh. Wings are difficult to travel with. I ordered them extra crispy and they came to me just regular. Other than that though they were good meaty wings and I really enjoyed the garlic parm flavor. Tasted like real ingredients and not chemically like some wing spots sauces are. This was the real deal and had they just been crispier I could have given them a 5. As regular wings closer to a 3.75. The ranch and sauces were good, tasted homemade. All in all this spot is definitely on my radar now. I'm eager to get there in person for a cold beer and a large pizza with some friends. My favorite trivia hosts Holografix trivia is here on Tuesdays so definitely check them out and bring some friends.”

“As I walked in, I was greeted with friendly people. The host kindly told me to pick where I wanted to sit. I ordered a milkshake and it was sooo good. It had a nice texture and was just the right amount of sweet. The staff were really fast and my food was served almost as quickly as I had ordered it. I love that they serve pancakes even during dinner time. I never get tired of sweets so this is perfect. The waiter checked up on us quite often to ask if we needed anything and was really sweet the whole time. As we were leaving, they asked us to come again and I really love that they meant it in a genuine manner.”
