“I had a fantastic experience at Carl’s Jr. today, thanks to Maria. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful. I mentioned it was my first time using the Carl’s Jr. app, and she took the time to walk me through it and make sure I got the best deal. Because of her, I ended up getting a drink and a free Bacon Western Cheeseburger through the app. The burger was excellent, hot, fresh, and loaded just right.

On top of that, Maria surprised me with a coupon for a free small fry on my next visit with any burger purchase. That level of customer service made my day and definitely earned my repeat business. It is rare to encounter someone who genuinely cares about the customer experience, and Maria absolutely does.

Huge shoutout to Maria for going above and beyond. Carl’s Jr. needs more employees like her. I will be back.”

“Hands down my favorite place to eat in Newbury Park!! My husband and I come once a week and the food taste amazing every single time. My go to is the Chicken Shawarma plate with a side of rice, salad and hummus and let’s not forget the big portion of pita bread.”

“despite the corona lockdown, we got Jazzy Wings, ribs, gumbo and jambalaya and a catfish po-boy, and hoo-boy is it good. wife is doing the happy dance cuz she loves the Rum Cake. would totally recommend with no reservations!”

“Tantan ramen better than other places I've tried. More flavorful broth, chashu was more tender and not chewy.

Matcha cheesecake was a tiny $6 cake that was more green-looking than matcha-tasting. Would not recommend.

“Places like Dong Ting Spring are hard to come by these days, especially in Ventura County. When you walk in, it feels like you're in your grandma's house being served a comforting home cooked meal. Every time time we come here, we always see elderly Asian people with their families, which I think is a strong indicator of how authentic Dong Ting's food is. We typically order the stinky tofu with braised intestine, braised pork, beef rolls, always with a side of rice. I really love it here and I will keep speaking their high praise. Haters be gone, Hunan forever!”

I have eaten sushi at almost the majority of places in Thousand oaks area (not to mention in every city I visit) and this is a top notch place even though its a small place. The service is awesome, everyone pitched in and were timely and appropriate with their service. Sushi chefs were friendly and helpful. Will make this my go to from now on”

“This is seriously one of the best coffee shops in the area, hands down. The coffee here is amazing, and every drink I’ve tried so far has been wonderful. It’s always nice and strong, with really unique and creative flavor combinations that keep things interesting. The staff is also incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. I try to come here at least once a week, but honestly, I wish I could come every day. And don’t even get me started on the food . The pastries are so good. The seven layer bar is to die for, and I’m constantly craving their croissant sandwich. Conejo Coffee is truly a gem. I love supporting the small coffee shop!”

Unfortunately, every item in our order had an issue. The 6” meatball sub only had three meatballs inside, and the cannoli we ordered for dessert was burned. The cheese ravioli itself was fine, but the garlic bread that came with it was also badly burned. The biggest disappointment was the “Tony’s Sub.” It was completely drenched in oil — so much that it was dripping onto the floor when my son unwrapped it. The vegetables inside were cut into very large chunks that kept falling out of both ends, making it extremely messy and difficult to eat. He ultimately gave up and had to throw it away.

We’re sharing this because we truly enjoy Tony’s Pizza and order often. The quality is usually excellent, which is why tonight’s experience surprised us. “I highly recommend this amazing spot for healthy nutrition. They have the best turbo teas. If your looking for a boost of energy this is the way to go. The watermelon jolly rancher is my favorite. They also have delicious shakes that serve as a meal replacement with lots of protein. It’s a super cute spot to hang and get your drinks, with a really fun vibe. Highly recommended it for sure 🤍”

“Had a great experience at Mikey’s during a recent visit with three good friends. Mikey, the owner, was actually there and working as the chef, which made the experience even better. It’s always great to see someone so hands-on with their restaurant.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I ordered the Toluca Omelette, and it was outstanding, flavorful, fresh, and perfectly prepared. Everyone at the table was really happy with their meals.

Overall, it was a great atmosphere, great food, and great service. We’re already looking forward to coming back.”

“This place is awesome. Like a Panda Express with heart.
The Spicy Crispy Chicken is my favorite dish, and one of my favorite dishes at any quick service Chinese restaurant ever. It's got a light, beautiful crunchy coating, it's perfectly seasoned with chili and Sichuan peppercorn, and stir fried with fresh green chilies. I like to pair it, a bit unusual I admit, with the fish and black bean sauce, which is an incredibly rich umami bomb of a dish to offset the bright and spicy chicken. Wow, it's such a good bite it makes me hungry just thinking about it.

The location is nothing to write home about, it's a little spot, clean enough, small soda fountain, minimal seating, all-business service. The portions are generous and the prices are fair.

But Seven Spice is all about the food, and you will not be disappointed.”

“Sumo sushi is one of our favorite places to go for dinner. We go for dates and we take our kids. The food is exceptional and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. The kids have spilled drinks and the staff is never bothered and so sweet about helping us clean it up. Danny (one of the sushi chefs) is personable and interactive!
They are constantly busy which just shows how popular they are with so many people- everyone wants to eat there!!!”
