“This restaurant serves one of the best Chicken tikka masala entrees. It is a delicious combination of marinated chicken with a creamy tomato-based sauce; they use aromatic herbs to make this unique/flavorful one of kind meal. The coconut curry was just good. It turned out fantastic! The flavors were mild; hence, the sauce had no sugar. Believe me, if it has sugar, I can taste it. Not too much salt. Finally, the naan bread. The naan bread is soft, fluffy, and chewy. Naan bread also has a buttery flavor due to the ghee and buttermilk in the dough, which adds an extra dimension of flavor—well done, Mirchi Indian Cuisine.“

“Takeout only restaurant. The jambalaya is fantastic and has brought me back multiple times. The sandwiches have amazing flavor but do seem to be very juicy (sometimes the bread is soaked through if you don't immediately eat the sandwich).“

“We really enjoy Cedro because it feels like Italy. The food is authentic, scratch-made Italian. Like in most restaurants you'll find in Italy, their wines are chosen to compliment their food. Be sure you ask about the nightly specials. The staff is attentive and friendly. It's about you. The decor is comfortable but plain. Service is not rushed. Go there with others who like to converse. “Ate here recently and it was very nice!! The food was absolutely delicious I got the beef shawarma pita sandwich and there was so much flavor and it was a nice big portion! It was the best thing I’ve ever eaten. The servers were also very kind and the service was very good! “This maximalist Indian bar and grill offers stimulation with a capital S. There is a giant flatscreen TV on a wall showing 90s Bollywood hit songs and a playful interior dotted with a straight-from-Punjab tumbi and Jago chhajj that reminds me of a traditional Indian pub in Southall. Plus, the food is just fun. Channa bhatura, pani puri, and bhel puri are street food options in India, but this is the first north-of-the-valley joint that actually serves them up in traditional Punjabi style. Expect all the usual favourites like dal makhani, curries, and doughy, butter-brushed naan cooked exceedingly well. A myriad of lamb options for the finicky carnivores. And loads of standout, traditionally seasoned vegan options for dedicated Angelenos. Tandoori paneer are beautifully layered with a light tandoori masala vs. a typically heavier yoghurt marinade, making it a light snack to enjoy before dinner. And our favorite is a bountiful veg biriyani--colourful veggies, brimming with saffron, fluffy rice, and a touch of herbaceous spices. Definitely add on an order of the homemade gulab jamun, which melts in your mouth with its rich and decadent texture crafted to perfection. Add in impeccable service, fair prices, and inventive dishes from the husband/wife owners and you have an elevated Indian eatery you'll want to go to often as an escape from the mediocrity of those Indian valley options.“

“I recently relocated to the suburbs after living in the middle of Hollywood for the past 20 years, and I was looking for a regular local spot. After scouring Yelp, I found this place and decided to give it a shot last night (a Friday). I arrived solo and was greeted by friendly bartenders and staff. This is an unpretentious dive bar right in the heart of Newbury Park that serves strong drinks and excellent bar food (I had the pulled pork sliders, which were a solid 9 out of 10). Although it has a diverse group of regulars, I felt immediately welcomed and at home. within one minute of arriving. They do karaoke on Tuesday and Friday and have a terrific DJ. Even though I arrived alone, I ended up hanging out with a crowd of friendly regulars who were more than welcoming. Between the great drinks, excellent food, and friendly staff and customers, I had a marvelous time. I have now found my new regular spot and look forward to returning often. Five stars for being exactly the kind of place it should be! I'll be back every week!“

“This is a good choice for Hunan and Sichuan-style cooking with some home-style flare. Dishes are slightly made for an American palate from this family restaurant. The attention to detail is excellent which makes dining here very enjoyable. What is notable is that every dish is not overly seasoned nor greasy. This is not a Chinese greasy spoon. Most entrees' pricing pushes fine dining price points at nearly $20. The lunchtime specials are very reasonable giving you a nice variety of flavors. The decor is clean and may resemble a tea room, but you'll feel at home with the good service.“

“This food is the bomb! Best take out we've in literally 20years! Service is excellent and very helpful and kind, worker held the door open for me! The food was so good my mother in law literally cried! Sounds silly but it meant so much to us that they put love into their food. Would recommend again and again. “This is my first time ordering takeout from this restaurant. I ordered a hand roll and two cut rolls and they were absolutely sublime. The rolls were super fresh -- spicy tuna, and an Alaskan roll. it took about 25 minutes for them to prepare the food and they had a pretty busy dine-in crowd tonight. The prices are reasonable I can't speak for the dine in experience though I've read some misgiving reviews. I can safely say that takeout experience was phenomenal.“

“We had a wonderful take- out meal from this Hunan style Chineses restaurant. We enjoyed the hot and sour soup. Sliced roast duck breast was the best I've had in years. It was crispy on the outside and so flavorful. The pork belly with bamboo shoots was cooked to perfection and delicious. Our order had everything we ordered in it, a rare occurrence for us these days. We're looking forward to eating there next time and trying other dishes.“

“Just tried this place for the first time and I was highly impressed. I've had spicy tangerine beef at probably 9 different Chinese restaurants and this place was by far superior. We get Chinese food once a week and I feel that you get great value fir your money here. The food was delicious and delivery was fast. “Love going to Sumo Japanese Restaurant in Newbury Park. It's a halfway spot for myself & one of my good friends. We enjoy coming for dinner & definitely here for the yummy Happy Hour. It's a pretty good happy hour offering sushi & drinks. Service has been great, they are on top of things. Restaurant is smaller with a casual vibe. Their sister Sumo Restaurant is located in Ventura. The very first time I came here, I wasn't sure where the restaurant was. If you're lucky you can snag a spot in the front parking lot. There's also more parking on the left side (facing the front of building), & there's additional parking if you go up the lot on the right.“

“Nutshell: Ranch Hand BBQ is one of the best in the 805. Definitely a spot to check out for a quick trip or if you are in the area. Ranch Hand BBQ was a spot that I have heard of in the past with its opening in 2011 in the Conejo Valley. Located near Newbury Park High School and the 101 freeway, it's an attractive spot tucked in the shopping center. The ambiance gives a western cozy atmosphere accompanied by the selection of food. The bathroom is really clean. There's an extensive menu of not just BBQ, but burritos, salads, and sandwiches. I decided to settle on the Tri Tip w/ Coleslaw and Mac and Cheese. The wait for food was about 15 minutes, on the quicker end for BBQ. The Tri Tip was really well cooked and tasted amazing with the two rolls of garlic bread that came with it. The Mac and Cheese ran a little runny for me (I enjoy Mac and Cheese that is more stiff). Additionally, the Coleslaw was also a little soggy when compared to other BBQ locations. Overall it's located in a really good spot in Newbury Park and have relatively quick service. It is really affordable and very much worth it. I strongly recommend the Tri Tip and the Mac and Cheese tastes amazing after reheating. I recommend checking Ranch House out!“

“This place hits every single time. No matter what time I go, what I order, or how many people we have in our party we have never had an experience short of excellent. Everything about this place will leave you feeling full and taken care of. The Horchata is the best around and I love to try every place I go. The nachos, enchiladas, tamales, and fajitas all recommend. One time I went there for one of my kids birthdays and they made it So special. 10/10 recommend. “Why did no one tell me Boney Mountain is serving up some of the best pizza in the 805?! I really wish I had known as I would have tried this spot much sooner. I only tried this spot for takeout so I can't review the restaurant itself or a dine in experience but for takeaway/delivery I was definitely impressed with this spot. The food was super good and everything was packaged with care, no sauces missing, just a good attention to detail type place which is a win when ordering takeout. Also I felt the prices were pretty reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. The real star here is the pizza! Like OMG their pizza is perfectly cheesy and the toppings were generous. One of the best pizzas I've had in the 805 if you love a classic pie, it's not trendy or anything but at the end of the day a real classic pizza trumps all these hipster pizzas for me any day. I'm not a huge pizza fan so the fact that I've been craving it says a lot. 5 stars on the pizza! Also I tried the wings and they were middle of the road. Good but I'm sure they would have tasted better fresh. Wings are difficult to travel with. I ordered them extra crispy and they came to me just regular. Other than that though they were good meaty wings and I really enjoyed the garlic parm flavor. Tasted like real ingredients and not chemically like some wing spots sauces are. This was the real deal and had they just been crispier I could have given them a 5. As regular wings closer to a 3.75. The ranch and sauces were good, tasted homemade. All in all this spot is definitely on my radar now. I'm eager to get there in person for a cold beer and a large pizza with some friends. “As I walked in, I was greeted with friendly people. The host kindly told me to pick where I wanted to sit. I ordered a milkshake and it was sooo good. It had a nice texture and was just the right amount of sweet. The staff were really fast and my food was served almost as quickly as I had ordered it. I love that they serve pancakes even during dinner time. I never get tired of sweets so this is perfect. The waiter checked up on us quite often to ask if we needed anything and was really sweet the whole time. As we were leaving, they asked us to come again and I really love that they meant it in a genuine manner.“
