Our omelettes were delicious as was the cinnamon roll french toast topped with bananas, strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream! Wow! It was a special of the day and so, so good! Side Street has long been my absolute favorite restaurant in Ventura County! When it comes to the menu at Side Street, you genuinely can't make a wrong choice. There's something about the way they make their coffee that has me drinking half a pot of coffee I swear. When I go out to eat, I expect the food to be better than what I could make myself at home. “This place is one of a kind. From the atmosphere to the customer service. Walking in you see the amazing mural they have on the back wall but you also get an instant aroma of the delicious food they have brewing. Jesse’s friendly face at the counter invites you in and his knowledge of the food leaves you conflicted on what to order. I had a classic, their menudo. It came with handmade tortillas and their taco bar has the most flavorful red salsa I’ve ever had. Perfect combination for the menudo. I also had an agua fresca. Their cucumber mint was refreshing. My girlfriend had their pozole. Although I didn’t taste it I couldn’t help but steal one of her tostadas, slap on some of that red salsa and some cheese and sour cream. To finish it off we had a plátano frito with lechera. Honestly, everything was to die for. Will definitely be back for more. We were left with a craving for their specialty, their huarache.“

“I’m so glad I found this place. Yes it is the BEST sushi in Conejo Valley. The chef knows his fish. We got most of the specials on the board which were mostly from Japan. I will say that it was expensive but so worth it. Maybe stick to the nigiri on the menu and it won’t cost so much. But I’m so glad I do not have to drive into LA for great sushi. I’m a fan.“

“If you have $10 in your pocket, you can feast like a king here. Tacos are $3 a piece and very authentic. And they are not shy about portions. The price to quality ratio here is insane. Best tacos in town by far and they happen to be the most affordable.

The burritos are not massive but they are very flavorful and filling. All of their salsas are great too. The staff are very friendly and give great service. Amazing churros and fried plantains! I’ve had nearly everything on the menu and none of it has disappointed. You really can’t make a bad choice here.“

“Real crab in the burrito-peefect.The Cancun burrito which had grilled fish and real crab, had an amazing flavor. It comes with tortilla which is great with the salsa bar. Great flavors, ch I ices and pther items at the self service bar. Especially the Habanero. Staff are welcoming and friendly which is a high point. I wished the burrito was a little larger, but with the chips amd crab is filling. I cannot wait to come back again. Overall, 10/10. Flavor 10/10. Cleanliness 10/10. Today our Sisters of the Drum lunch group gathered at Topper’s Pizza, and we want to say a heartfelt thank you for taking such good care of us. Our group is part of the women’s drumming class at Goebel Senior Center, led by a wonderful musician and teacher. We take a break from class during the summer, but we still meet for lunch every other week to keep the friendship, laughter, rhythm, and good vibrations going.
Topper’s Pizza was so welcoming, patient, and accommodating with our lively group of amazing women of the “awesome age.” They didn’t mind our laughter, our stories, our songs, or even a little Sisters of the Drum spirit!
We are so grateful for local eateries that make room for community, connection, and a variety of women who bring joy wherever they go.
