“We were amazed and drawn to this restaurant when we just got off on Ventu Park Rd in Newbury Park. The outside pictures and design were a great start. Every person I interacted with at this restaurant was amiable & knowledgeable. We have a similar palette when it comes to the meal selection. We split each meal in half. These are the best custom kebab dishes I have ever tasted. I ordered the doner wrap. The protein was chicken, and I selected all the veggies. I got the vegan tahini sauce. She had the doner rice box. She ordered the beef and lamb and got all the veggies. Then, complete the entrée with the original sauce. Very fresh vegetables and condiments for their dishes. The meat cooks on a vertical rotisserie called a “donergrill.” It is the best tender and juicy meat. We will be returning customers. A thank you to the twisted meats family!“

“Keyri made the cob salad, which was honestly the best salad I've ever had in my entire life. The lettuce was fresh and crispy and with dressing tossed in it was close to perfection. Giving 4 stars because trying the second time I got a piece of fatty pinkish chicken on my plate. I have a feeling it wasn't made by her, because the Cobb was different the second time around. ‍“

“Love this place for quick easy meals, they always seem happy to accommodate my funny requests for gluten free, sauce free, add this or that. All 4 of my kids seem to like something off the menu too which is a huge win. Ooooonly thing I wish but don't have the courage to say to the owners myself, cause they are so nice and already doing great, is if they could start implementing organic items on the menu!! They just seem like the perfect place that can pull this off! Soooo many people want organic meats and veggies and fruits etc. in our town! “I like that there are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. The coffee's were non acidic and the fruit was super good. The gluten-free waffles are made with soy. I didn't try it but noticed it. All the ingredients tasted fresh. You can spice things up or have it as is. I ordered the avocado toast and the Great Eggspectations sandwich and 2 coffees to go. It travelled well. The service was quick and the guy at the register was very helpful. Dog friendly on the patio. I think it's worth a try if you're in Thousand Oaks.“

“Great time here! I loved the food. It really reminds me of the food I had in Italy. My group had the Spicy Chicken Rigatoni, the Eggplant Parmigiana, and a Chopped Antipasto Salad. All were so great and fresh! The server was so attentive and when I asked about catering for an event coming up soon, Ryan (one of the managers) came over and spoke with us and helped us out with options. Really happy with this restaurant and experience!!“

“I waited until I went to this location a few times before posting a review, and my thoughts are still very mixed. The food is consistent and well made! With good portions; I can eat one whole bowl or salad by myself in one sitting and be full. It is set up as more of a to-go type of eatery, but they do have one long table and a couple of smaller tables (and an additional couple of tables outside). The service is what throws me off! The first time I went it was okay, second time- amazing, and this last time was confusing. In their defense I honestly had no idea what I was ordering, what modifications I can make, what dressings are available, etc. so I asked a few questions, got more confused and left with whatever they gave me! Still tasted great, I just don't know how to order it again :)“

“All time favorite breakfast spot. When you are up in the morning and you have time definitely check it out. I always get the Pulled Pork Omelet and pair it with some coffee. Great service with waiters being around asking about your experience even when they are jam packed. You need to come on weekdays or it get insanely busy during the weekends. It's a go to spot for me ever since last month when I first trekked in.“

“Arrived for a Friday lunch and were seated quickly in a booth. Server was Frank, and he was awesome!! I had signed up for the e club, so we chose the firecracker shrimp starter. It was delicious. My son ordered the bison burger with no lettuce or tomato and he enjoyed it. He said the bison was delicious. He really enjoyed the fries. I ordered the lunch size Kung pao chicken with brown rice and I enjoyed it. My son ordered a huckleberry beer and Frank brought him a taste of a similar beer, Walrus IPA, to try and my son actually preferred the one Frank suggested. We ended up also ordering the apple and huckleberry pie which we both enjoyed. Great service and delicious food!“

“I have ordered from this restaurant before on DoorDash but today is the first time I have eaten inside the dog house I definitely recommend the dog house for a fresh variety of anything you want to eat from chili cheese tater tots to grape fresh grilled chicken with ranch any style hot dog The food here is really good and is worth the Wait which was not very long.“

“We used to go to the location in Encino which really went downhill over the years and is now understandably closed. We were so happy to find out that this is the original location, and it is worth the drive. The bread rolls are to die for! So yummy! My personal favorite is the mushroom salad. The small is quite large and plenty for 2 people. The size is true of all of their salads. We also had a chicken parm sandwich that we enjoyed. We were a little disappointed with the pizza. It was pretty greasy so we did not come close to finishing it (one slice and done) and honestly threw what was left out. The restaurant is huge, so lots of seating. The staff is super nice. FYI, surprisingly for a pizza restaurant, they have a huge, full-page vegan menu. Go and enjoy, just try not to fill up on the rolls before your meal shows up. LOL“

Ordering online was a breeze, and when I arrived for pickup on the designated date and time, everything was prepared and waiting for me, complete with disposable dining ware for easy cleanup. The curry couscous dish was as delicious as ever and quickly became a family favorite. Their salads - always fresh, crunchy, and bursting with flavor, they provided the perfect accompaniment to our meal.“

Me and my husband just came here for the first time for breakfast, we both ordered the little mule burritos with sunny side up eggs, and they offered us a free coffee. We received the food and the portions were very big and filling, you can tell the food was made fresh and the quality is amazing. Each ingredient was made perfectly and so delicious. They wrapped it up perfectly. All the flavors came together, me and my husband were just amazed and still cant shut up about how insanely good it was. They also gave us chipotle sauce that was the best chipotle sauce we’ve ever had and cholula that complimented the burrito even more but even without it, it still tastes amazing. We both agreed this place has the best burritos we have ever had. It was an amazing start to our day. We will most definitely be coming back with a huge smile on our faces to try more things. “During this Lent season I've been getting my fix of fish tacos on. I've been to Snapper Jacks several times in the last few weeks. I keep planning to order something different but I'm hooked on the fish tacos. I go between the hard and soft shell. But the soft shell are winning me over. Delicious! Rice and beans tops it off.“

“Food was a little bit disappointing. My lomo saltado had barely any sauce, and the rib eye was dry and chewy. The garlic wings on fried rice were good as separate elements, but they didn't have much cohesion as a unified dish. $24 for a meal is steep, even in today's economy; I expect more than dry, chewy meat for that price. The server was very nice, but the owner seemed put out that we wanted to just pick up food and eat outside (what can I say, I came here because yelp told me it was dog-friendly). EDIT: To clarify, I didn't expect to eat indoors with the dog, just mentioning that they seemed nonplussed when I asked to eat outdoors because we had brought a dog. I'm giving 4 stars because their lychee lemonade was the best I've ever had. Sure it was in a small cup filled with a ton of ice, but it was amazing. If I come back, I may not eat there, but I would definitely stop by to grab a lychee lemonade. Hopefully that doesn't upset the owner too much.“
