“We had a great dining experience at Urban Plates in Long Beach. Mariana explained the menu choices in a very unrushed manner, and we decided on the steak. I ordered the Chimichurri grass-fed steak with balsamic brussel sprouts and herb-roasted potatoes. All of it was delicious ( and healthy too!). The deserts were absolutely killer too. We will definitely eat here again next time we're in Long Beach.“

“This is the highest quality, authentic Indian cuisine offered anywhere. Even the buffet is high quality, high caliber, and high vibrational. The ingredients - the veggies and even the spices - are fresh and bursting with flavor ... but not too much spice and flavor. It isn't salty. It's extremely satisfying. When one notices the decor, the cuisine and the warm service, one has no doubt whatsoever that the hands that serve and prepare the food are guided by hearts full of LOVE. That's it in a nutshell. “The Pan Kitchen is a pretty solid restaurant. Whenever I try a new Thai place, I always try the pad kra pao. I enjoyed their take on it; it was flavorful and spicy.

The curry we ordered, though, had this intense orangeness to it and smelled like canned tomato sauce. It tasted way better than it smelled, but the initial impression was just... Odd.

The service was fine, though a little slow - and we were the only ones in the place for most of our dinner. The servers spent a lot of time loudly talking behind the register. Which like, I don't care, except when I'm waiting for a refill or something...

The place is cute though, nice decor, vibrant with plants.

The other parts of the menu like hotpot and boba, I'm sure, are worth checking out.“

“This is an overall great place for a group setting. It was too hot to eat outdoor but there is a nice patio. It's in a large shopping mall so not a particularly romantic setting. However, the meals are reasonably priced. We really liked the fact that we could have separate checks.“

“We were here on a Tuesday and it was busy when we arrived and busy with people waiting when we left. Definitely a favorite for the locals! We were seated quickly and the service was fast. Our omelettes were delicious as was the cinnamon roll french toast topped with bananas, strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream! Wow! It was a special of the day and so, so good! “Real crab in the burrito-peefect.The Cancun burrito which had grilled fish and real crab, had an amazing flavor. It comes with tortilla which is great with the salsa bar. Great flavors, ch I ices and pther items at the self service bar. Especially the Habanero. Staff are welcoming and friendly which is a high point. I wished the burrito was a little larger, but with the chips amd crab is filling. I cannot wait to come back again. Overall, 10/10. Flavor 10/10. Cleanliness 10/10. Chill place to eat inside or on the patio.“

“I’ve been here a couple of times and this place doesn’t disappoint. We were five of us and decided to order the food family style so we could sample different dishes. Laab— being a Marvel fan, I can’t eat or order this dish without thinking of Spider Man. When Peter Parker is with his aunt May in a Thai restaurant and she says she Laab’s him 🥰 There’s something so refreshing about this dish — ground chicken, mint, thai basil and a chili lime dressing. It was delicious and fresh tasting. Roti and curry sauce - so interestingly roti is the Indian whole wheat flour East Indian flatbread that is usually cooked on a cast iron ‘tava’ and finished on the open flame. It is a daily staple in the meals of most Indian families. But for Thai people, roti is a fried version of this. Served with a green curry sauce as an appetizer it takes on a completely different flavor. Slightly greasy but I mean come on, how can you go wrong with fried dough. The green curry sauce is delicious. Khao Soi - this dish came with egg noodles already in it, but also with crispy noodles that softened as they soaked into the curry. Pad See Ew - flat rice noodles with egg and Chinese broccoli. We ordered this with tofu and holy cow it might be the best tofu I’ve eaten. It was perfectly cooked and crispy on the outside and creamy deliciousness on the inside. It soaked in the flavors of the dish so well- I wanted to keep eating this well past my full point. This was definitely my favorite. And now, since mangoes are in season, they had mango sticky rice as dessert. I was raised in India and so am a mango snob. Nothing, and I do mean nothing compares to an Indian Alphonso mango. But, the mango they served us, with purple jasmine sticky rice was something I grudgingly had to agree was delicious. And the sweet juiciness of the mango contrasts perfectly with the creamy texture of the sticky rice. No Thai meal is ever complete without Thai iced tea— which was delicious and well made. All in all a really delicious meal. Service was slightly on the slower side - but we were in no hurry and ended up lingering for quite a while after the meal. Can’t wait to go back.“
