I've noticed they remember most of their costumers, which I find really sweet. The waiters are also so kind, great service. Really homey feeling place, and the prices are good for what you get! Feels like a hidden Simi gem.“

That's a lot of exclamation points but they earned it! I started with the House Margarita with Chips and Salsa, both were great but the salsa was to die for. I had the Fajitas El Patron for dinner, OMG...the steak and chicken were so tender they could both be cut with a fork and the flavor was spectacular. “On Easter Sunday after church my sister and another good friend were in the mood for Mediterranean food. We looked on Yelp and were happy to see beautiful reviews for Ali Baba Cafe. Let me tell you this restaurant did not disappoint on any level! A family atmosphere, with yummy aromas throughout we sat, were greeted my a joyful young man who was stellar in his service, getting us seated and started with water and tea. Then the waiter came and shared more about the menu favorites and the differences between certain dishes which was very helpful. The Hummus was amazing! Then each of the dishes we ordered two of ordered lamb dishes and one a beef dish, all were very delicious. The portions were plentiful! Then I ordered the most delectable baklava flaky and soaked in (honey I believe) but the most perfect balance. We will surely be back to this blessed restaurant. What a great first experience. Thank you to all those who served us with excellence from the seating to, taking our order to when we checked out and paid leaving out. Each person greeted us with joy. “The Lucky Dog Cafe is my go-to coffee place in Simi Valley. The staff are wonderful, friendly and proficient. The coffee is outstanding, the baked goods are tasty. There is good indoor and outdoor seating in a very pleasant atmosphere. The lucky dog is pet friendly, and even though I don't own a pet, I enjoy having the occasional dog around. A couple of people, including the mother-to-be, have Celiac (cannot have wheat, barley or rye) and wanted to make sure this was a gluten free event so they wouldn't have to worry about eating the wrong thing or cross-contamination. We got seated right away in the bar area. It was our first time here so didn't know what to expect. Once seated, we did noticed the restaurant part. It was that busy and only another couple was utilizing it. But the whole bar counter was full as well as some of the booth where we were seated. Staff were amazing, very friendly and attentive. The lady that took care of us was awesome, didn't remember her name but she was great. Checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and if anything else was needed. Also, it happened to be a day where one of the alcohol founder was there. He walked around giving samples which was great. We even had a cocktail made from his liquor. Food wise, we had the calamari which was quite good. Portion wise was pretty plentiful. The fish and chips were great. Instead of the chips, we opted for the tater tots. And the chicken Parmesan, very filling. A good portion on both the pasta and chicken. Service was great, food was good and the whole vibe was amazing. It's a cool spot that we happened to find on Yelp and glad we stopped in. Also, had to send the place out to a couple of friends who would definitely love it here. Sunday, my family tried giving Mariachi Loco Grill and Cantina a try for a different type of menu to fall short, cancel our order, pay for our drinks and drive to Maria's where it is tried and true. What an extreme difference in experience between the two restaurants but nothing less than what it is every time we visit Maria's which is at least three times a month. “Go Fish is the greatest sushi place EVER! We have been going there for over a year, and have never had a bad experience. The employees are very clean, and make sure to wash hands before touching other people's plates. The chef's are literally magicians that can make the most outstanding sushi ever. This is definitely not your normal sushi place. They have many out of the ordinary dishes made with sushi that when you taste them it makes you wonder why other sushi places aren't making those! I'm referring to things like the sushi burrito, Red Bull roll (which has filet mignon on the top), sushi taco's, and many other creative dishes. If you haven't been here you are totally missing out! I endorse you to rebuff your normal McDonalds dinner, and come to this epic sushi place!“

“Our party of five was seated immediately upon arrival. Menus were delivered quickly. After a short amount of time to preview the menu, we were ready to order. Pho 1 and Pho 2 were popular choices. We also ordered egg rolls and chicken wings. The Spicy 1 entreé was also ordered. All very tasty. “Even though Simi Valley has not more than a handful of Indian restaurants, there are representatives in this class that deserve a visit. One of these eateries is Indian Haweli, on Los Angeles Avenue. It maybe the only Indian cuisine location that has a lunch buffet ($14.99) in Simi. The dining area is small, but well appointed, with simple decor. There was one staff member that was maintaining the area and keeping the food well stocked. That should not be a deterrent. Service was friendly, informative and professional. If anything, some of the lunch buffet items were drying out. So additional assembly of these dishes with more liquid and/or keeping them covered could change the landscape and optics. See my pictures for the offerings. What stood out for me was the two appetizers (Aloo Tikki and Samosas), the latter having a different flavor. There are several selections of chicken and vegetables. Accompaniments are Naan, Rice, Salad, Raita, Chutneys (both Mint and tamarind), pappar and Indian desserts (that include Gulab Jamoo). Wine and beer is also available.“

“Probably my favorite Mexican (Tex-mex) restaurant in all of Simi. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and it’s still the best with the nicest people that work there. When I’m here, I’m most likely getting their chicken tacos, enchiladas, or the carnitas burrito. All of these are incredible and pure comfort food. Service with Andrew was great. He was attos d informative since this was our first time here. Food was hot and came out in a timely manner. Ambiance is nothing to write home about. Mostly booths with a few tables and chairs located towards the bar area. There is a bar with sitting. I recommend trying MB Grill and as far as I am concerned reasonable in cost for the delicious meal.“
