“OMG! Have been looking for a proper Japanese izakaya restaurant in Ventura County for 4 years. By far! This place kicks ass! Amazing authentic, clean, fresh rolls, broths, ramen, salads, beer, and sake! At the most reasonable prices! Especially for happy hour EVERY DAY 5-7pm. “I went to Sharkys with my 13wk old puppy to start practicing sitting nicely at a restaurant. I carried him in to pick up, and asked if there is an option to have the food brought outside (I dont want to be that rule breaker, bringing in pets that are not service dogs) The server was really sweet and explained, I just have to order to eat in, and they will find me outside. PS - he did great!“

“This place is ten minutes from my house but the Angeleno along us is the one who found it and invited us there! Nice outdoor seating if you don’t want to be indoors; the cute menu includes vegetarian options and nice cocktails (though not poured deep); we lived our options. I got the impossible taco salad (Impossible crumbles replaced regular hamburger taco meat); my son had a Pepperoni flatbread; he pointed out to us that (per the menu)a dollar from every sale of that pizza goes to children’s charities. There’s plenty of parking, that’s never an issue.
Upon walking in I was greeted immediately.
The interior is very clean and has good seating.

The menu is easy to understand and the ordering counter is simple.

I’ve had mostly everything from here. And what’s funny about it. Is I feel their chicken quesadilla is one of the best in the entire US.
Something simple KEPT simple. And it does SO well.
Chicken is always tender, fresh and seasoned very well.
Right amount of cheese.
Not greasy at all.

So would I recommend this place?
Absolutely.
If you want some good Americanized Mexican food.
This is definitely a go to.
By no means is it authentic what so ever.
But is it fresh? Yes.
Does it have flavor? Absolutely.

“Been to other locations for Tifa. But this was our first visit to his location. There is a nice fountain right outside of the store so it would be a nice experience to sit by the fountain and enjoy the gelato.

The inside of this store is nice, pretty similiar to the other location nearby. You can get board games and hang out a bit in the cool air conditioning.

We got two samples and my daughter ordered a small cup. She liked the flavors. It would have been better if the greetings were a bit warmer. Really there wasn’t much, not even hello or a smile from either server of the day. I have been to a few places in a day and this was the only one that was a bit off.

Overall this is a nice place to get gelato.“

“This place definitely surprised us! We were very happy to have found such an outstanding restaurant. The restaurant is pretty big and very pretty, we sat at the bar. The sashimi was AMAZING! I wanted to go back everyday :) the roll was not my favorite, but good, the skewers one of them too much garlic sweet sauce. Customer service was great!“

“I come to this place every Friday and that is not an exaggeration, I absolutely love this place. Everything on the regular and specials menu is amazing and I’m always finding something new. The margaritas are always terrific and Jordan, the bartender/unofficial face if Los Agaves, is super nice and often times knows my family’s drink/food order even before we do.

Also, the manager, Carlos, always does a great job taking care of all the tables, checking in occasionally throughout the meal.

I cannot recommend this place and the molcajete sauce enough.“

“This place is absolutely amazing. When I first learned about it I tried it out and was obsessed. Since then I’ve moved to the Pacific Northwest, moved back, and moved to the southwest. Every time I’m back in town I make sure to eat here at least twice. Trust me, most other states don’t have Mediterranean food like this. The portions are very generous and one plate is normally two meals for me. Their toum (Lebanese garlic sauce) is incredible. It’s so good in fact that every time I’m in there, customers literally argue with the cashier to get more. It’s simple, if you specify how many side of toum you want, they will sell it to you. I’ve ordered ten sides and as long as you pay for it, it’s yours. Their hummus is also really delicious. I always get the spicy shawarma but anything there is good. I recommend this location because you can sit outside near the fountain but it’s always just as good when you order to-go.“

“As a typical beautiful day in our gorgeous state of California and the city of Westlake Village at the promenade right at the entrance coming off Hillcrest and Westlake BLVD is a unique and very tasteful to the pocket and your tummy is a place called Sweetgreens. I am hands down without a doubt OBSESSED. It’s so delicious and quite refreshing to know in this day and age you can get a sensible meal that is about the same price as a fast food joint for a burger, fries and a beverage combo. But at Sweetgreens you are getting a meal prepared right in front of you with almost everything freshly diced, chopped, sliced or ready to serve and eat. They have four different flavors of fresh fruit beverages that are all out of this world Yums to the ooze tums and will definitely satisfy your taste buds. If you are a healthy eater or not, you will want to make this place a destination to visit. You will really find it difficult not to enjoy it.“

She loves Red Velvet cake so I picked up a half dozen cupcakes including Red Velvet. Turned out to be the perfect surprise. She loved everything about the cupcake. Moist with a great frosting.
