“Perhaps the best culinary experience in our area. The food is absolutely fantastic from the appetizers to the main dish and the desserts, everything exquisite. As for your appetizer I highly suggest the brussel sprouts, main dish on this evening I had the cork dork Burger which was phenomenal but several at my table enjoyed the duck which was spectacular and included wild rice. The desserts were wonderful and large enough to share. A wide assortment of wines from very affordable to high-end champagnes and after dinner wines/drinks. Put this one on your list, it is absolutely spectacular.Lastly, the staff was extremely attentive and therefore the service was excellent. Chef Danny came out and greeted us to make sure that we were enjoying our experience and displayed a great passion for his craft as well as his restaurant!“
“My wife and I visited the Lure Fish House in Westlake Village on April 6th. The restaurant has a great design and was very busy but service was still quick. We had the sea bass, seared scallops, and a couple of drinks. Both entrees were delicious and the drinks hit the spot. A couple days after we left I realized that I had left my credit card. I called the restaurant and talked with the general manger and he found the card. Unfortunately I live about 140 miles away but the GM offered to send my the card which I received shortly later. I just want to say the restaurant not only has great food, service, but they are also very honest and we will definitely return. Thank you, David and Lucia“
“We always enjoy sitting on either patio and the heater lamps made it very comfortable. Our server was very pleasant and provided excellent service. The bus staff is always courteous and professional. The charcuterie board is a favorite of ours and is beautifully presented and delicious, especially the honey, a nice touch. My son always orders the steak, which is consistently cooked to perfection. A wonderful dining experience except for the table next to us which was conducting a loud FaceTime call , rude and lacking in consideration for others around them. Didn't stop us from enjoying our wonderful meal and great service.“
“Prosperous Penny is only open on Friday and Saturday nights in the Four Seasons in Westlake Village. The vibe is chic but dim. There's seating at the bar, but there are a few other couches to sit on. It feels very cozy, mellow but an elevated experience. I have never tried to order food here, and I don't know if they serve any. I've popped in after I've eaten at Coin & Candor for drinks. The drinks are great, as are the bartenders.“
“We had excellent service. The chicken & waffle sliders (3) are so flavorful and tender. I would definitely get them again after initially feeling that they wouldn't be my favorite appetizer. We always get bacon deviled eggs (5) for their simple goodness. Slider cheeseburgers (3) are another solid appetizer. We would have gotten the buffalo cauliflower except we had someone with us who doesn't like blue cheese. I was disappointed with the carnitas nachos thinking that was going to be my favorite appetizer, but they were just okay. The loaded tots were in a similar bucket where we all wanted to love them based on the description, but in the end, probably wouldn't get them again. They have such an extensive food menu that we will be trying even more next time. My biggest complaint about the atmosphere is the cramped layout and only having 1 bathroom for each gender where the sinks are located inside the restroom creating a backlog. I hope they can expand one day!“
“Wait staff is great, got us seated in under 5 mins & got all our orders in very quick. We ordered the mussles & were surprised by just how much we were given. The pork sliders were also great. Definitely a spot worth coming back to?“
“Pros- Best meal I've had in a long time. From the fresh-baked pretzel loaf with mustard compound butter, the amazingly innovative seasonal vegetable side dishes, to the incredibly light, barely sweetened strawberry coupe dessert, I could barely contain my joy. I can't wait to go back and work my way through the menu. The service was lovely and welcoming and all the hosts and servers called us by name from when we arrived until we left. The space is lovely and the outdoor seating overlooks the hotel's spectacular waterfall. The space is light and bright and the interior lights were dimmed as the sun went down creating a very romantic atmosphere. Cons - the service was rather slow but in hindsight it was nice to not feel rushed through the meal to turn over the table. The worst aspect was the noise level. It seems that many restaurants are now going for a sleeker design and carpeting and fabric-upholstered seats/booth are giving way to hard, slick surfaces that do nothing to absorb sound. The result is so noisy that normal conversation is nearly impossible so you're speaking louder adding to the problem. Next time we'll go when the weather is warmer and ask to sit outside where I think the roar of the waterfall will be quieter.“
“I've been to the Bamboo Room twice within the last six months. The staff is extremely friendly. Romy is very accommodating and Tom makes you feel right at home. I highly recommend the burger sliders!! We had two of our events here and we plan on coming back, so whether you looking for a lounge with a beautiful ambience, or an outdoor hang out while drinking some fine wine I recommend stopping by.“
“My family absolutely loved this place. They made us feel like family and very comfortable. We will be back when we’re in town. Phil created something special. The menu was unique and the wine was paired perfectly. Can’t wait to come back.“
“What a great craft cocktail bar. Amazing drinks made by true bartenders. Atmosphere is great. There is no food, but you can go to Bad Ass Tacos next door and bring it over. Small place so plan your arrival time accordingly if you want a table.“
“Oh my goodness, I just discovered one of Simi Valley's most incredible hidden gems! From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with welcoming smiles and a friendly demeanor. We had the option to sit indoors or outdoors, and we chose to dine indoors. Let me tell you, the atmosphere was so chill and refreshing, with lush green plants hanging from the ceiling - it was truly a sight to behold. As soon as we were seated, our lovely waitress brought us water and took our orders. We decided to go with the prime rib sliders, which were hands down the best sliders we've ever had, along with some mouth-watering garlic fries, refreshing black cherry vodka, and a crisp green IPA to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Before we knew it, our drinks and food arrived, and wow, were we blown away! The prime rib was cooked to perfection, and the drinks were served ice cold. I can honestly say that we will be returning to this spot time and time again, and I highly recommend that you do too! Make sure to come by and experience the amazing vibes and drinks for yourself. Can't wait to see you there!“
“We had dinner there last night, and I was pleasantly surprised. It seems very hard to find really good restaurants and good food these days. The atmosphere is very romantic. We got a table in the back and met a really nice couple sitting in the corner next to us. They were here from South Africa. I like how the tables are set up like they are in other countries, mainly Europe, encouraging people to talk to each other at neighboring tables. The very friendly servers immediately bring warm, soft bread with a bit of seasoning and a perfect, crisp crust. You can spread it with a delicious olive tapenade. My son had a rib eye, and I had the Bu Burger with sweet potato fries. I think it was one of the best burgers I've ever had in Malibu. I love the presentation of the fries, too. They come out in one those paper funnels in a stand, also, very European. We both enjoyed our meals immensely and even shared a bit with our new friends and impromptu dining companions. The portions are just exactly right, not too large, so as to turn you off, and not too small, just right, as it should be. We really don't need those supersized portions. They are just not good for our health. Anyway, we did get a dessert each. My son got the crême brulée, and I got a dark chocolate dessert cake that came warm, was topped with blueberries and had some vanilla ice cream on the side. You have to put a bit of each on the spoon for a perfect bite that's warm and cold at the same time. It was just sooooo delicious! I don't remember what it was called, but it was good and, again, just the right amount for a perfect dessert. We left very happy and satisfied without feeling bloated or stuffed. We hope to go back soon. I highly recommend this lovely, little magical place.“
“Came in for brunch with my family and it was really great! My sister has celiacs so she can’t have gluten and our server Marco was incredible! He spent time at our table explaining the options and didn’t make us feel rushed at all. I had the French toast and breakfast potatoes and it was all very flavorful and delicious! Would definitely recommend stopping by for a great meal! ?“
“The Conejo Valley is limited when it comes to fine dining. If you've been looking for a higher end dining experience, a place to celebrate a special occasion, or a romantic date spot, this restaurant won't disappoint. I don't want to give away spoilers, but this place is an experience where details and quality are exceptional.“
“The ambiance of this establishment exudes an enchanting charm, evidently crafted with immense care and a keen eye for detail, transporting one into a realm akin to a mystical garden. The culinary offerings were exceptional, both in flavor and presentation, contributing to the overall delightful atmosphere. Our server, Ashley, epitomized professionalism and warmth, attending to our every need with attentive and gracious service. Her engaging demeanor and meticulous attention greatly enhanced our dining experience. Individuals like Ashley are truly a rarity and add immeasurable value to the hospitality they provide.Thank you,Rozi“
“We ordered the spring fling and a blueberry cocktail, along with the Thai chicken pizza. The cocktails were fresh, with a noticeable mint and fruit flavor, though a bit too sweet for my liking.I'd suggest avoiding the Thai chicken pizza or letting your husband choose the pizza next time.“
“OK, maybe a 4.5 star. I have been going here for decades. The menu is diverse offering seafood, like most don't. This isn't the bad cooking smothered in mole sauce and delivered to your table like others. I think the current star rating is not a good as they really are. The reviews are pretty old, so I thought I would update mine. Will be back this week.“
“This maximalist Indian bar and grill offers stimulation with a capital S. There is a giant flatscreen TV on a wall showing 90s Bollywood hit songs and a playful interior dotted with a straight-from-Punjab tumbi and Jago chhajj that reminds me of a traditional Indian pub in Southall. Plus, the food is just fun. Channa bhatura, pani puri, and bhel puri are street food options in India, but this is the first north-of-the-valley joint that actually serves them up in traditional Punjabi style. Expect all the usual favourites like dal makhani, curries, and doughy, butter-brushed naan cooked exceedingly well. A myriad of lamb options for the finicky carnivores. And loads of standout, traditionally seasoned vegan options for dedicated Angelenos. Tandoori paneer are beautifully layered with a light tandoori masala vs. a typically heavier yoghurt marinade, making it a light snack to enjoy before dinner. And our favorite is a bountiful veg biriyani--colourful veggies, brimming with saffron, fluffy rice, and a touch of herbaceous spices. Definitely add on an order of the homemade gulab jamun, which melts in your mouth with its rich and decadent texture crafted to perfection. Add in impeccable service, fair prices, and inventive dishes from the husband/wife owners and you have an elevated Indian eatery you'll want to go to often as an escape from the mediocrity of those Indian valley options.“
“1st off, we will be back. My wife and I stopped in early (about 4:45pm), so we did not want a full dinner. We ordered the Spicy Ahi Tartar (5 stars) the Steak bites (5 stars) and Garlic Brussels Sprouts (3 stars--under cooked but good the next day). Service was polite enough, but not very attentive (3 stars). We were seated inside in a nice quite booth. It appeared that most of their customers were outside on their patio or at the bar (those are the only two places the Happy Hour menu & prices apply). Next time, we'll come a bit later and do a full dinner--stay tuned...“
“The paleta margarita is always delicious and strong and huge. Comes with lots of ice. The taquitos can be made vegan if you ask for all the toppings on the side and avoid the dairy and dressings (honey). The chips and guacamole are always like the best thing ever. Did you know they have habanero salsa? It'll knock your socks off. Yes, it's spicy lol. For a nicer ambiance ask to sit outside because indoors is a bit noisy. Bathroom can get messy at peak hours. Excellent service. I am a very repeat customer. Good for families or a night out with friends or a hot date. Oh and you can it all to go, just call ahead. Parking is dicey on Canyon Club nights and it can be cold at night. Cinco de Mayo is literally a no go, too busy. I detracted a star because there's nothing inherently vegan on the menu. But I could live off the chips and salsa. Seriously, go try.“
“Loved this location so much. It’s right next door to Nobu Malibu and the view of the ocean is gorgeous. Valet parking available. This location had a lot of families with small kids present so the vibe was more laidback. We had lunch here and we appreciated how often the manager came to check in on us.For the four of us, we ordered the lobster bucatini, crudo, green salad, cod, and crudités. For dessert we got the Eton Mess and cookie crumble with ice cream on top. Everything was so tasty and pretty. My favorite was the lobster bucatini. We all got some cold pressed juice to drink with our meal and ended with some matcha lattes (we needed caffeine to wake us up after the feasting we did). Plenty of seating to do work and again, the view of the water can’t be beaten. There is beach access so I would suggest bringing your suit and a paddle board or surfboard if you have time to play in the water.“
“A great steakhouse. That is what it is and if you are going for the so-called modern place is not that. Great food the best service. Well prepared steak, seasoned lightly, and cooked perfectly. The sides were a perfect size. The cobber was fantastic.“
“Came in for the first time yesterday. Our server Craig gave excellent service, was very attentive and answered all the questions I had regarding the menu. I had the 6oz Filet and my grandparents had the French dip sandwich. We all enjoyed our food. Everything was very delicious. We will definitely be back again soon.“
“I love Atost’s aperitifs and I love their customer service. Every holiday season I buy some bottles for coworkers and friends. They are always a hit. This season I purchased 5 bottles but unfortunately FedEx messed up my delivery. Emily, Atost’s event manager, and Kyle, Atost’s founder, were so quick to respond to my email and resolve the shipping/delivery issue. The company goes above and beyond with both their products and their service. I will continue to be a regular Atost customer.“
“This place hits every single time. No matter what time I go, what I order, or how many people we have in our party we have never had an experience short of excellent. Everything about this place will leave you feeling full and taken care of. The Horchata is the best around and I love to try every place I go. The nachos, enchiladas, tamales, and fajitas all recommend. One time I went there for one of my kids birthdays and they made it So special. 10/10 recommend. Our favorite sit down Mexican in Newbury ParkZ.“
“I've been coming here since I was a kid, so close to 25 years and the food has always been delicious. That bean dip has been a they serve with chips is second to none. Pro Tip: if calling in a take out order, if a lady answers the phone and puts you on hold, just hang up and call back in a few minutes, or you'll forever be on hold every time. Just this person though.“
“I met with a couple of former coworkers for Margarita Monday and some snacks. From the moment I walked in, service was excellent. I told the hostess that I had a reservation for 1, but that some others were going to be joining me (unsure how many). Due to having bad knees, I asked for a high top table. She told me to sit where I liked. A few minutes later I was greeted by a server who took my drink order. Within a minute or two after that, someone came by with chips & salsa and asked if I had been helped. The guava margarita was delicious. My friends joined me a few minutes later and ordered the Chupacabra margarita and a cucumber margarita. They both said their drinks were good. After catching up over a couple cocktails each, we ordered a few happy hour food items. The taquitos, buffalo wings and loaded asada fries were all delicious. Throughout the evening, service was excellent. Our waiter checked to see if we needed additional drinks or anything else to eat throughout our stay. Several of the tables had birthdays which were met with quite the celebration! Great to see the staff take part in recognizing someone's special day. The only negative thing about the location are the high ceilings and openness of the building that make it rather noisy. Not so much that you can't carry on a conversation at your table, just not a quiet one.“
“Very nice for an end of the day respite on the Pacific Ocean. Will be going back. The fish tacos are quite delicious. Like all places on the beach in California the prices are pretty ridiculous but you're not paying for the food. You're paying for the sunset. It was lovely to eat with my toes in the sand.“
“Sadly there are such few great restaurants in the Valley and Westlake areas but the one standout is Pearl District. We have been coming here for years and the food and service has always been consistently outstanding! The owner, Peyman is so warm and friendly, like he’s welcoming us to his home. There are many nearby restaurants that one goes to for the scene and then there is the Pearl District where you go to dine and dine well. Our only problem is wanting to order everything because it is that great!“
