The portions are just too much I end up feeling like I waste food and don't love that. 3 of us had a calamari appetizer that could feed a family of 8. Haha. The service was also excruciatingly slow and it wasn't too busy. Kept forgetting drinks, and orders, seeing people next to us get their food faster after sitting. I'm from the UK and this is my 3rd visit to L.A. I finally got to go to Paradise Cove on this trip and was a bit underwhelmed by it. The beach itself was probably the worst out of all the beaches i visited, the pier was closed for repair (and that was the only reason i wanted to go there) and while the cafe and it's staff were amazing the food was definitely wasn't. $30 for cold fries and tasteless fish. Very nice for an end of the day respite on the Pacific Ocean. Will be going back. The fish tacos are quite delicious. Like all places on the beach in California the prices are pretty ridiculous but you're not paying for the food. You're paying for the sunset. It was lovely to eat with my toes in the sand.
