“Great Food, Great Service, Great Atmosphere They have a private room for small parties. My Networking Group hosted a mixer there. They prepared a buffet for us and provided a waitress to take our drink orders. It was perfect. I would definitely book the room again, hang out with friends, and take the family there for lunch. I highly recommend!“
“Fantastic spot shown to me by a friend. Went for a weeknight dinner and was accommodated wonderfully. Great selection, prices and service. I suggest sitting at the sushi bar if possible. A can't miss spot for a quick bite right outside LA ?“
“So glad I found the reviews for this place! I came here to try it out. The plenty of seating and outdoor seating, along with the good rating got me here. I was not disappointed! Keith, the waiter, was more than great! He was friendly, kind and helpful! I had the Chicken Melt and it was delicious! It came with French fries that were made to the tee! All was so delicious and fresh! There really IS plenty of seating, indoors and outdoors. They have TVs, too. This would be a great place to bring big groups to chill and have a good bite to eat! The location is perfect - not too crowded at all! It's a brand new place, beautiful, new furniture, clean, and just nice! I found a new place that I will be frequenting!!!“
“Getting worse and worse every day. The Dj they had for 14 + years quit, that’s why this place was popular to begin with for its every night karaoke. The food used to be great now everything is too salty. And tonight is raining and they decided to close the back door from their own parking lot, so people have to go all the way around in the pouring rain. Which it doesn’t make sense. It’s very sad and a bit disappointing.“
“Always an enjoyable experience. Greeted warmly, seated, ordered. Menu is something for everyone done right. Good runners always more than pleasant. Busy evening and our waitress was a busy lady. Management sent another more than capable body to relieve that jam, which was really appreciated. Good great, 3 of us shared appetizers, a delicious large steak, and the fish special. All left satisfied with leftover steak“
“This is our fourth time here since opened. We love it and even brought some first timers. Just a couple of things, the rigatoni was not as spicy as usual, the chicken parmesan seemed a little small and $45 for corkage is a little high my feeling.“
“My wife and I dined here last night and the food was creative, exciting and most of all delicious. Our favorites were the matzo ball soup, tinned salt spring mussels, the small relish tray with 5-onion dip and the rose petal pie. Shout out to the staff, especially Oscar, who helped walk us through the menu and was happy to chat with us at the close of service. The energy in the restaurant was vibrant and joyous. I loved the music.“
“Socalo is consistently great. Everyone I introduce it to ends up returning on their own. Everything is great here, the food especially of course (the menu is innovative with kind of a classic base and the ingredients are very high end). Somehow though, they manage to keep the prices reasonable. The staff is really nice, the design and atmosphere are beautiful both during the day and the evening. I love that it's an all day restaurant so you can even grab a meal or a snack during in-between hours. This place is kind of a sleeper favorite and because it seems to be under the radar a bit, getting a reservation is always easy. I truly love this place.“
“This place is excellent for a date or family celebration. Starting with how they treat you... I say like a queen. It is noted that the calballeros took courses in hôtellerie and tourism. My husband and I feel very tired. And you can eat until you burst!“
“It was my daughter's bday celebration. As soon as we walked into the restaurant the hostess greeted my daughter with Happy Birthday. The lobster bites are to die for. They brought my daughter a bday sundae with a candle. It was a wonderful evening.“
“The ambiance of this establishment exudes an enchanting charm, evidently crafted with immense care and a keen eye for detail, transporting one into a realm akin to a mystical garden. The culinary offerings were exceptional, both in flavor and presentation, contributing to the overall delightful atmosphere. Our server, Ashley, epitomized professionalism and warmth, attending to our every need with attentive and gracious service. Her engaging demeanor and meticulous attention greatly enhanced our dining experience. Individuals like Ashley are truly a rarity and add immeasurable value to the hospitality they provide.Thank you,Rozi“
“Didn't want to be stuck in traffic for over 2.5 hrs to get home, so I decided to come here and grab a drink, watch some games, and let the traffic die down. They have minimal parking on the street but a large parking lot to the back. I was the first one here for at least an hour, which was really nice. They got televisions all over the place. So no matter where you sit, you get a good view of the game. They got some upbeat music playing loudly over the speakers. Some real head bangers!! Got me tapping my foot and bobbing my head!! It's somewhat dark, but well lit with all the neon signs and tvs. The booths were also really comfy. The waitress I had was amazing. Super nice. Checked on me frequently, since I was the only one there for a while. Very conversational. Great at small talk, so thanks. Knew the menu well. They have daily happy hours of beers, some food. And being a Tuesday, it was taco Tuesday!!!! Tacos were $2.50 each. I ordered one of each and they came out early quick. Feels like the ones you get right off the streets of LA (in a good way). Lots of protein. Packed with toppings. Double tortillas. More sauce on the side. They were all really good!! I had a couple of their beers. Had one on tap, an IPA, as well as another one in a bottle. Vibes here are really cool. It was nice just to sit back, kind of put my feet up and chill. Everyone was super nice. Upon request they can turn on the volume of any of the games. Unfortunately, someone requested the soccer game to be played on blast. Which killed the music. But I had been there a good 1.5 hrs by then, and I guess that was my cue to leave. And it only took an hr and 10 min to get home, mission accomplished!!“
“This is one of our favorites. Incredible service with no pretention and the food is exquisite. Grab a spot at the bar on a Saturday at 6:30pm and enjoy great cocktails, one of the best wines by the glass menus and just the best food. No scene, no nonsense. Just a great dining experience. Don't bring your “
“Came in for brunch with my family and it was really great! My sister has celiacs so she can’t have gluten and our server Marco was incredible! He spent time at our table explaining the options and didn’t make us feel rushed at all. I had the French toast and breakfast potatoes and it was all very flavorful and delicious! Would definitely recommend stopping by for a great meal! ?“
“Tacos and margs are pretty stellar at this place. Came on Taco Tuesday, which is $1 off all tacos and $9 margs. Place wasn't busy when we got there at 12 and we were able to get our food and drinks very quickly. FYI it's more of a trendy sports bar than a restaurant, so don't be thrown off when you walk in, but deff a good place for casual lunch or happy hour. For drinks, husband and I both got the classic marg, which had a decent amount of tequila. Enough to made you happy but didn't make your eyes burn when you drank it (make sense?)We ordered 4 tacos in total (short rib, chicken, shrimp and carnitas). Short rib was my favorite by far. Super flavorful with picked onions and a spicy salsa verde sauce. Husband also really liked the chicken, which was also a little spicy (not as much as the short rib) and I also got the shrimp, which was bomb. The pineapple salsa on top really made the shrimp shine. The carnitas was ... fine. Not bad but nothing to write home about. Also ordered the carnitas nachos. Prob would have ordered this with short rib had I known how good that was. They come pretty stacked with pork, shredded cheese, homemade cheese sauce, tomatoes and onions, but personally felt like they needed some acid. Pro tip, ask for the spicy salsa verde on the side. It deff satisfied that "somethings missing" feeling. Once got that we really enjoyed the nachos. Overall, we really liked this place. Food and drinks were really good and it's off the beaten path enough that you can sit and enjoy your food in a laid back place without crazy LA prices.“
“Came to chestnut club after going for drinks and dinner and loved the drinks they served. Our bartender took super good care of us and made sure we always got what we needed in a speedy manner. Really enjoyed the vibes and people in there as well. They are open late too so it's the perfect place to go to if you have nothing else to do after dinner! 10/10 recommended!“
“After living in Spain for three years, it's difficult to find authentic Spanish food in the US. However, Teleféric exceeded all my expectations! The food was authentic and delectable, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was darling. The paella was better than some I even had in Spain! Can't wait to visit again.“
“you can actually hear some really good acts at this place, famous blues artists especially. they have open mic nights but you're very encouraging. I like the way it's decorated in there; of course it's not as good as Ireland's 32 but it's slightly better than universal bar and grill. mind you they are all very close in the running. the point is I recommend going, and I really hope they don't dismantle all the strip malls because a place like this can't exist with apartments over it I don't think“
“OK, maybe a 4.5 star. I have been going here for decades. The menu is diverse offering seafood, like most don't. This isn't the bad cooking smothered in mole sauce and delivered to your table like others. I think the current star rating is not a good as they really are. The reviews are pretty old, so I thought I would update mine. Will be back this week.“
“Lovely place, great atmosphere, music and good food. Visited last year. The staff was very friendly, we were short on cash and had just too little for the beers. The employee gave us the beer for free, because a good burger should come with a beer. Fantastic!“
“Food was magnificent i was highly pleased! I rarely give 5 stars but this place was great, the breakfast burrito was yummy but a little dry, the sausage was INCREDIBLE. I'm normally not into vegan sausage but it was incredible and then just look at the table it was gorgeous!! Service was simple and polite, the food came out fast for a sunday afternoon! The bloody mary isss missing something , perhaps the tang , salt, or just needs a little more lime. Overall it was the perfect brunch experience on a sunday, we were in and out in a reasonable time and I am leaving a very satisfied customer.“
“Thank you Maia for taking good care of me last night. It was a bit of a hiccup in the order but you guys were super slammed and did your best. Maya , you were super sweet and patient with me. You had the order remade and you guys did it super fast and sent me on my way home with dinner w/ Hubby. And when I got home all the food was packed up so nicely and kept hot & yummy. Delicious!!! Thank You, just in time for movie night snuggles with family.“
“Perfect spot for great bar food, chill vibes and friendly bartenders. Half or full pitchers of cold beer and a full bar with tons of TVs to watch Dodger games. In the summer, they keep the AC cranking. Good lunch specials and Taco Tuesdays deals (3 street tacos for $3).“
“The restaurant has a unique decor. It feels like a place in some island in the Pacific. The food is excellent from a chef who has traveled the world and found the best recipes from many different countries. There is a lounge/bar in the back for drinks that is convenient and very comfortable. The servers are efficient and knowledgeable about the various dishes“
“Michelin rated sister restaurant of Melisse which is located in the bottom level. Came here to celebrate my parents’ anniversary and they had a little printed sign congratulating them. The ambiance is darkly lit with modern decor. Tasting menu is $165 as of March 2024 and includes four plates with the option for up charges. Everyone at the table must order the pre-fixe. Credit cards accepted. Valet parking available or you can opt for metered street parking. There were young kids in the restaurant. Service was alright - our waiter forgot that we told him that we only needed two wine glasses and instead brought out four in addition to some other minor complaints, so I took a star off for lack of attention to detail that other Michelin places have. Otherwise, the food was good, with my favorite being the dessert course. Some thoughts on what we tried below:Asparagus panna cotta - the amuse bouche was fun to eat and incorporated both asparagus and white asparagus. It was creamy and cool.Basil brioche - this came with French butter from Normandy. You could choose this or the French roll. The bread wasn’t warm but the flavor was unique, if the color a bit too on the leprechaun green sideLobster bolognese - this is a molded pasta with butter foam on top (not your traditional pasta). Our waiter recommended just cutting into it like a bar, and it was fun to eat, if a bit cold.Egg caviar kit - my dad absolutely loved this. It’s $25 extra but the caviar carefully placed into an egg shell was such a novel conceptWhite asparagus - another upcharge, but also worth it if you like morels. The brown buttery sauce on the bottom was umami and delicious.Scallops - both my sister and mom opted for this. It was tasty and very tender.Crudo - this came with a generous amount of five pieces. It had some foliage on top which looked very aesthetic.Red mullet - my mom got this and the fish was cooked perfectly. The skin was crispy while the meat was flaky - she liked this a lot.Lamb - this is recommended to be cooked medium rare, and I agree with that assessment. It was very tender with the right amount of fat for a juicy burst of flavor and salt.Duo of beef - this comes with beef cheek and another cut. My sister preferred the lamb over the beef, which I agreed with.Cherimoya - both my parents got this since they prefer a lighter dessert. It’s a tropical flavor and the restaurant added little candles for them to blow out.Chocolate cake - this had a chocolate filling and came with ice cream on the side. I love the combination of hot and cold in a dessert, and felt like it was the right level of sweetness.“
“We had an unusual evening at Angelini. I had made reservations for my wife's birthday and asked them if they could acknowledge her in a low key way. Things got off to a rocky start when the hostess offered us an indoor table, then asked us to wait a minute while she checked to make sure it was ready. She came back and escorted us to the worst outdoor table on a very rainy and chilly night. We asked what happened to our indoor table that she offered on our arrival and she was flustered and inarticulate. We decided to stay, though we were tempted to simply leave and go elsewhere. Things got better from there. The food was delicious and bountiful. However, the outdoor space is chock full of tables and noisy diners. It was hard for us to converse with one another in the din. It was also very chilly despite a number of propane heaters stationed throughout the area. Much to my surprise and dismay, no one said a word to my wife to wish her a happy birthday. She wasn't miffed because she did not expect something. But I would have preferred if someone from Angelini had wished her well on her special day. Bottom line: very good food, quite pricey (but worth it), attentive service once you get past the poorly trained receptionist. This is a restaurant that needs more indoor space and a less densely packed patio. And they should read OpenTable special requests to delight their customersfurther.“
“Im just here to say that the gluten free burger is the bomb! The bun is great, spread delicious, and they never tell me they're out of gluten free buns. Refreshing! I'm limited with what I can eat and I loved this so much that I haven't really had much else from the menu, haha. The fries are skinny fries, if you're into that, I'm not really a skinny fries kind of gal. Peace & Cheers!“
“Really enjoyed their apps and the hospitality provided here. Even got there early and Marta welcomed us early. But really went for the ambiance (Thanks, Marta) but it was bit of disappointing maybe, the time and the wind/draft as their side awnings or broken. We were a bit also disappointed by lack of food options compared to the online menu. Will try again when it's warmer and less windier.“
“Loved this location so much. It’s right next door to Nobu Malibu and the view of the ocean is gorgeous. Valet parking available. This location had a lot of families with small kids present so the vibe was more laidback. We had lunch here and we appreciated how often the manager came to check in on us.For the four of us, we ordered the lobster bucatini, crudo, green salad, cod, and crudités. For dessert we got the Eton Mess and cookie crumble with ice cream on top. Everything was so tasty and pretty. My favorite was the lobster bucatini. We all got some cold pressed juice to drink with our meal and ended with some matcha lattes (we needed caffeine to wake us up after the feasting we did). Plenty of seating to do work and again, the view of the water can’t be beaten. There is beach access so I would suggest bringing your suit and a paddle board or surfboard if you have time to play in the water.“
“Our order was made on line and I did have to go back to retrieve items they missed but I'd consider that system error. They made it right by adding an extra item to the order. Make sure if you do carry out that you consider they may not give you utensils.“
“Love this place! The burritos are all great but the #3 combo (1 pork tamale, 1 cheese enchilada, rice & beans) is probably my favorite. Our waitress was amazing. I took a friend for his birthday and the waitress brought out a birthday flan for him, without me even saying anything.“
“I love coming here after a day of shopping. The food is just okay to be truthfully honest. There has been a change in the items for the food menu a while back and was sad to hear that they don't make the chicken sandwich anymore. They made a new menu basically and while although it's simple the soup and salad is great. The ambiance is very nice. The service is also good the servers are kind.“
“Who doesn't like a good margarita?! And better yet, a day solely dedicated to "margaritas!" Welcome to "Margarita Monday" people!!! The Margarita Garden Bar is located at the front entrance inside Topanga Social. They have a set menu of pre-made margs but freshly prepared, not mixes, for 50% off. Something for all margarita aficionados. Michelle was our bartender and I ordered the Social Marg with blood orange & bit of agave, no salt ($7 - normally $14) it was perfect. One was all I needed! Met up with some of my favorite Yelpers which made the experience even better! Plenty of food to choose from to go with your margarita! *I highly recommend stippling by any night!!! I really like it here!!“
“A great steakhouse. That is what it is and if you are going for the so-called modern place is not that. Great food the best service. Well prepared steak, seasoned lightly, and cooked perfectly. The sides were a perfect size. The cobber was fantastic.“
“Always great food and excellent service Whenever we eat at Lure Fish House in Porter Ranch, we can count on having a great meal. But we also can expect excellent service. Our recent visit was a little more extraordinary because of our server, Mar. Since we had been there before, but it had been a while, Mar asked if we knew what we wanted or if we wanted to hear the menu explained. We chose the latter. She also asked if we had allergies, which we did not. Not many restaurants ask that, which can be important because not all ingredients are listed and some people forget to mention it. We ordered our usual cup of Clam Chowder and asked about the Dungeness Crab Cocktail. Mar told us what we wanted to hear and ordered it. We shared both appetizers and enjoyed them both. For our entrées, my wife stepped out of her comfort zone and did not order her usual but rather the White Sea Bass in Almondine-style, which is crusted with breadcrumbs, parmesan and almonds. I went with my semi-usual of the Crispy Fish, Shrimp & Chips Combo, but with Pineapple Coleslaw, on the suggestion of Mar during the explanation of the menu. When the meals arrived, my wife said the Sea Bass was good, but she probably would not get it that way again. Mar checked in on us and my wife repeated what she had told me. Mar then said, "I have just the sauce to make it better." She returned with the sauce that comes with the Sally's Sand Dabs, which is a lemon caper sauce. My wife said it changed the entire meal and was amazing, which she thanked Mar for when she again checked in on us. For me, the Pineapple Cole Slaw matched perfectly with the fish and shrimp. I never would have thought of that. Mar truly knows the menu and what pairs well and complements each dish. I believe we will be visiting more often, asking for Mar on each visit and stepping out of our comfort zones more often, with Mar's guidance. Thank you.“
“To start we were greeted by the store owner/manager, and then we were instantly seated with no wait. Food was amazing! Highly recommend 1/4 ILB for a single person. Overall great costumer service. There are sports on the TVs and a giant window to people watch and check cars out of. Near the beach aswell so great stop!“
“S Bar has had a bit of a turnover in management since opening post COVID. Then came David. The bar staff has always been very personable and attentive but David sprinkled his magic and transformed S Bar into one of the most efficient and highly respected sushi restaurant/bars in Los Angeles. It should be the blueprint for how restaurants should be run. The customers are well fed with terrific sushi, the staff seems happy (with very little turnover-always a good sign) and the adoring public is very happy knowing that they can come to a welcoming, comfortable place that provides exceptional service. Cassidy and Enya are 2 of my favorites but I can count on all of the servers to lay down a great meal with a smile. There aren't too many places that hat can compete with the hospitality is S Bar.“
“The Sugar Suite is a hidden gem for those seeking a dive bar experience with character. Tucked away in a dimly lit corner, its old-world decor and slightly damp aroma add to its allure. Despite its somewhat gloomy ambiance, there's a welcoming vibe that draws in both regulars and the curious. The drinks are served with care, and the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. It's the perfect spot to unwind after a long day or to explore for those with an adventurous spirit.“
“Great food, great environment, great workers. Kelly is always amazing, very friendly, inviting and kind. Linda greets everyone with a smile. The food here is delicious and very reasonably priced. The vibe is good for anything from date night to a place to enjoy a dodger game. You can't go wrong with Safari room!“
“Sunday evening was a fun time to visit and hear a small group play New Orleans type jazz -- piano, drums, clarinet, horn, etc. The atmosphere was friendly and our large group had fun tapping our toes, talking, and haveing a few drinks. Brings back good memories to be in such a nice neighborhood place. See you next time.“
“I had very high expectations before visiting for the first time on a Sunday. They were out of eggplant unfortunately. Expect to pay$7 right away for parking. The stews however were some of the best I had.Parking: The staff are very helpful and attentive.“
“WE asked for a quiet spot and were given back in the bar, which was moderately quiet. The issue was it was very, very dark and had to read the menu. Also, the table was smaller than usual, which we managed. If the lighting could be slightly better, it would be fine.“
“This place is great to come and have a couple of beers and just enjoy your friends company. Love coming here to get chill is cheese tots. Wish the temp was set to something warmer for these colder months but overall a great place to come and eat some hotdogs at.“
“Cool place to bring a small group together, simple bar food menu but nicely done, plenty of staff to help you enjoy a night out, shuffle board tables are a plus, karaoke night brings out some regulars with some real talent, including the staff!“
“Had a great time for my SIL's Birthday. It was her actual Birthday so she got to go behind the bar and make her own drink with the help of one of the amazing bartenders. Our first time here and we were quite impressed with all the decor. It is Alice in Wonderland meets The Matrix. Would definitely go back!“
“Have been going there for over twenty years for big celebrations and just for fun.Extensive menu, with "deeeelicious" food. Beautiful, great bar.EVERYTHING there is excellent!!Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: You can order your main dish to be made any way you'd like it.“
