“Didn't want to be stuck in traffic for over 2.5 hrs to get home, so I decided to come here and grab a drink, watch some games, and let the traffic die down. They have minimal parking on the street but a large parking lot to the back. I was the first one here for at least an hour, which was really nice. They got televisions all over the place. So no matter where you sit, you get a good view of the game. They got some upbeat music playing loudly over the speakers. Some real head bangers!! Got me tapping my foot and bobbing my head!! It's somewhat dark, but well lit with all the neon signs and tvs. The booths were also really comfy. The waitress I had was amazing. Super nice. Checked on me frequently, since I was the only one there for a while. Very conversational. Great at small talk, so thanks. Knew the menu well. They have daily happy hours of beers, some food. And being a Tuesday, it was taco Tuesday!!!! Tacos were $2.50 each. I ordered one of each and they came out early quick. Feels like the ones you get right off the streets of LA (in a good way). Lots of protein. Packed with toppings. Double tortillas. More sauce on the side. They were all really good!! I had a couple of their beers. Had one on tap, an IPA, as well as another one in a bottle. Vibes here are really cool. It was nice just to sit back, kind of put my feet up and chill. Everyone was super nice. Upon request they can turn on the volume of any of the games. Unfortunately, someone requested the soccer game to be played on blast. Which killed the music. But I had been there a good 1.5 hrs by then, and I guess that was my cue to leave. And it only took an hr and 10 min to get home, mission accomplished!!“

“Wonderful manager and great table-side service. The only thing I would recommend is to allow patrons to take whatever food is left on their plates home. It's definitely better than throwing away perfectly good food that's half-consumed or barely touched. Otherwise, beautiful dining experience.“

“you can actually hear some really good acts at this place, famous blues artists especially. they have open mic nights but you're very encouraging. I like the way it's decorated in there; of course it's not as good as Ireland's 32 but it's slightly better than universal bar and grill. mind you they are all very close in the running. the point is I recommend going, and I really hope they don't dismantle all the strip malls because a place like this can't exist with apartments over it I don't think“

“Always an enjoyable experience. Greeted warmly, seated, ordered. Menu is something for everyone done right. Good runners always more than pleasant. Busy evening and our waitress was a busy lady. Management sent another more than capable body to relieve that jam, which was really appreciated. Good great, 3 of us shared appetizers, a delicious large steak, and the fish special. Recently, a salad of thinly shaved manchego, mint, beets and radicchio first course and a perfectly cooked Sea bass, very plump clams, broad beans, and fennel second course in a seafood broth lightly seasoned with dill were superb, as were desserts that our waiter allowed us to substitute for the third course. I asked to separate waffles from eggs and bacon and think this is the way to go! French toast, burrito were also very good. “Where do I start with how much I love this place? As a photographer it's a joy and a delight to be here but even without the fact that I've worked there many times... The food the decor, the staff.. if you get a chance to meet Eden Alpert you're lucky. Always kind.... And you'll notice that she's probably having the best time of anyone. The music and the performers are top-notch. It's not uncommon to see some of the top names in jazz.. however don't be surprised if you see Seth MacFarlane doing songs from Sinatra or an Amy Winehouse tribute. Sound mix is even and the perfect volume. Highly recommend the Caesar salad with a plate sized parmesan crisp and the mini ahi tuna tacos and save room for the hot chocolate cake. Food is top of the line and jazz club is elegant and upscale. Can't wait to eat and shoot pics there again soon.“

“The restaurant is located on the second floor of Nerano in Beverly Hills (you have to take an elevator up to the second floor through Nerano). This gives the spot kind of a fun speakeasy feel to it. When you get out of the elevator, you walk into a beautifully designed / decorated, cozy, albeit slightly quirky space. It's not large (I think the capacity is 34). Came here for a food event, which I did a review for separately, but this experience in particular was grabbing a drink at the bar. (I did think the food was delicious though and urge folks to come here and give this place a try. I know I want to come back and try more menu items.) The bar is beautifully designed and organized. I found myself perusing and mentally cataloguing the whiskeys as I always do when I go to new restaurants. But this place looked like a place that has fun cocktails. So I ordered The George Michael. The drinks here are really interactive, and the bartenders are super enthusiastic to the point that it's infectious. My drink in particular had some bowls that floated up and you had to catch it with a paddle. Flavor wise it was like espresso martini with a peanut butter twist to it. All in all this place is a great place to grab drinks and/or food. Lots of fun. There's a lot of street parking nearby, but it could get challenging especially during the weekends. I came in the middle of the week and was able to find parking about a block away.“

This has an elevated or more modern vibe compared to other "traditional" Mexican restaurants with familiar menu items (tacos, chips&guac, street corn) but several premium items (tomahawk steak, lobster bomba rice) or unique options (jimca salad, shrimp chile) as well. I like the small plates and tacos but also appreciate the large plates for dinner. They also have mocktails which are fantastic- we had spicy passionfruit. Everything is great here, the food especially of course (the menu is innovative with kind of a classic base and the ingredients are very high end). Somehow though, they manage to keep the prices reasonable. The staff is really nice, the design and atmosphere are beautiful both during the day and the evening. I love that it's an all day restaurant so you can even grab a meal or a snack during in-between hours. This place is kind of a sleeper favorite and because it seems to be under the radar a bit, getting a reservation is always easy. I truly love this place.“

Saw Auld Fella on some of these online lists. First thing I thought was it was very nice the place was named after me. Second thing I thought was Auld Fella looked like someplace I would like to go. Then I noticed Auld Fella was five blocks from where I lived, so I went there today. Has the chicken curry today. It was very good and there was a lot of it. “Great spot! I came here 10 years ago, and was delighted to find out it is still open. Same charm: dark wood, sweeping curtains, smokey cocktails, red leather couches, jazz music. We had the chicken bites, a glass of cab sauv, and one of the lychee cocktails. Everything was good but the lychee wasn't overwhelmingly good- I will probably switch to a whiskey based drink next time. The chicken was a perfect small bite to pair with drinks. Everyone there seemed to be a pair: first dates, deep conversations, etc. There are tables in the main room, couches in the fireplace room, and a long bar.“

The atmosphere is excellent, just what you'd hope for in a vintage lounge. The service was quick, although we were there in the afternoon, so it wasn't packed. The Painkillers were everyone's favorite. I started out with a Mai Tai, which was tasty. I would give the Mai Tai at Ventiki a slight edge, but that's just a quibble.
