“Quaint sushi shop. Clean, professional, everyone is super friendly. Food is on point. I'm here about once a week, maybe I'll cya there too!Kid-friendliness: I'm usually there with my 7 yr old niece. She enjoys it as much as any other place, she does love the salmon eggs. I can't watch. Not for me.Wheelchair accessibility: My dad also goes and is a big guy in a walker/ Wheelchair and he loves it. No problems parking or sitting. They're there like every other day so it must work ok.“
“Love going to Sumo Japanese Restaurant in Newbury Park. It's a halfway spot for myself & one of my good friends. We enjoy coming for dinner & definitely here for the yummy Happy Hour. It's a pretty good happy hour offering sushi & drinks. Service has been great, they are on top of things. Restaurant is smaller with a casual vibe. Their sister Sumo Restaurant is located in Ventura. The very first time I came here, I wasn't sure where the restaurant was. If you're lucky you can snag a spot in the front parking lot. There's also more parking on the left side (facing the front of building), & there's additional parking if you go up the lot on the right.“
“Food is absolutely delicious, as others have said, it's so "real" looking and tasting you have to re-read the "100% Vegan" on the menu to convince yourself. All 6 staff members we encountered were incredibly friendly and seemed to genuinely like being there. Nice, quiet atmosphere allowed for conversation. Overall exemplary experience and I can't wait to go back!“
“We have ordered to-go from this store a few times and have always had a positive experience: the staff is kind and the orders are accurate. We recently tried the boba and miso soup from there and they were also pretty good.Parking: The restaurant is in a strip mall so there are usually plenty of spots in front.“
“A very beautiful place! Food is so good and clean. The service is not the best, one server rushes you and is not nice to customers. She took our plates the literal second we looked like we were done. She did not think for a second that the fact that we wanted to sit a little and enjoy the food.“
“I HIGHLY recommend asking the server for their favorite special... e mon has so many fresh, daily sashimi options. When we were there, we tried the goldeneye with truffle oil- AMAZING. My husband and I love the hot n spicy shrimp popcorn roll and the crispy albacore signature sashimi. Service is wonderful- tiny spot, well worth the wait.“
“This our new go to Sushi place. The fish is always fresh, the food is delicious and affordable. The staff is always very friendly. The only negative I could say is the decor is very blah. But the food and service more than make up for it. I ordered the Togyu special, Toro sashimi and seared Wagyu sashimi, and a roll, my wife had the Spicy Tuna on crispy rice, amazing.“
“Excellent food, great Variety, and amazing service. It's a little hole-in-the-wall place, but those are often the best places (and this one most definitely was).My only regret is not having enough stomach capacity to try everything on the menu. You'll certainly find rolls here that you won't find elsewhere. And Shirley Temples too! ^_^“
“I never mind paying for good food at a restaurant .. as long as the service is good too. Slate is a bit pricey to be honest, however the service makes it all worth it. I come here every other month, and always leave happy. Met the owner last time I was there .. this guy LOVES his business .. and it shows.“
“Pookies is situated next to the little flowing brook at Westlake Watercourt. Very calming environment. It is our favorite Thai restaurant in Westlake Village- Agoura area. Food seems traditional & comforting. We especially enjoy different types of curries and noodle dishes. Staff members are friendly and attentive.“
“This place is so legit. All of our dishes were out of this world yum. We had crispy tuna cut roll, spam musubi, chicken pho, chicken larb, and the Mongolian beef noodles. You have to come and try this place. We're definitely coming back.“
“Great fresh fish expertly butchered. That's what I look for in a sushi parlor first and foremost. The assorted sashimi plate was delectable. Rolls were flavorful with great mouthfeel, alternatively crunchy, creamy, salty, umami. Nummy! Miso was bleh but the cucumber salad lept out of the bowl. Mussels were very good if you like Mussels.“

“Decently good value for this no-nonsense location. The lunch specials/bento is excellently selective to offer you a variety to fill up with. Under $20 will fulfill quite a large appetite. Their spicy tuna roll is elegantly done and probably designed for their patrons. Nigiri is fresh, but may seem a bit thin compared to other places. The tempera is also nicely done. Light and delicious.“
“Go Fish is the greatest sushi place EVER! We have been going there for over a year, and have never had a bad experience. The employees are very clean, and make sure to wash hands before touching other people's plates. The chef's are literally magicians that can make the most outstanding sushi ever. This is definitely not your normal sushi place. They have many out of the ordinary dishes made with sushi that when you taste them it makes you wonder why other sushi places aren't making those! I'm referring to things like the sushi burrito, Red Bull roll (which has filet mignon on the top), sushi taco's, and many other creative dishes. If you haven't been here you are totally missing out! I endorse you to rebuff your normal McDonalds dinner, and come to this epic sushi place!“
“The sushi place with a funny name!Having worked in Camarillo for about 3 years now, this is the first time I've visited Yomama. The 9-1-1 Roll is really good. Nice and flavorful with just the right amount of spice kick that you'd think Yomama was slapping you in the face. The steak bento could use some more sauce, but I'm not holding that against Yomama.Needless to say, Yomama is my new go-to for a quick sushi bite or a bento. Now if only Yomama would sell me the t-shirt hanging on the wall...“
“Let’s say it together: Traditional. No sugar sauces or flavorless fish. It’s an experience. Now there’s a way to muddle your way through the menu in a mass sushi kinda way but here one must give in to the menu. We sat at the sushi bar and had an amazing meal with buttery fish and flavors beyond explanation. Now this kind of experience comes with a price tag but if you’re over the bland grind and want an escape that’s just next door, this is where you can accomplish it.“
“Last call is 30 minutes before closing. I went in for baked green mussels and a sashimi salad. They told me they couldn't plate it but would serve me my food in a styrofoam box. I made sure I could eat the mussels when I was served because the only way to eat them is IMMEDIATELY.The mussels were good. Meatier than usual. (I order green mussels from every sushi place I try. ). Meatier = good. Not oversauced. Again, good.Sashimi salad was also good. Plenty of seafood on it. The part that really stood out was the octopus(?) that was on the salad. First of all, it's the first time I've had it on any sashimi salad. Second, it was very flavorful. Very fresh. I said, "yum" aloud (unintentionally) with every bite I had. It was very good. The rest of the salad/sashimi was great. Very small pieces so you get a good mix of different fish and and salad with each bite. It really is a salad. Other sashimi salads I try differ, in the sense that you have to decide whether your next bite is either salad greens or it's one fish at a time but this was very mixed. If you're hungry, it doesn't matter what gets swallowed, or in what order.- Ultimately, even though the food I ordered was at the end of the day, it was still very fresh and tasty.- The staff accommodated me and what I wanted.- The price was about $40. $25 for the salad and $10 for the mussels. Plus a super small tip. [[(but only because I wasnt being waited on and didn't require much service, (which is totally fine). Just throw that in a box and I'll be on my way.... no beverages, no dishes. Just an end-of-the-night sale. $5 was adequate for this particular situation otherwise I would have tipped more.]]Parking: This is a small place in a business complex. You would be surprised there is a sushi place here. It took 4 u turns and re-routing on Maps to actually locate this restaurant. They do last call 30 before close.Wheelchair accessibility: There are only two rows of tables with very wise center aisle. Plenty of space for wheelchairs. Most places would have tried to squeeze in another ride of tables but sushi planet did not. They have a wide area to walk/roll through without bumping into tables or chairs or other people eating.- Plenty of space.“
“The sushi here is FRESHHHH! They have tons of options to choose from, you’ll definitely find the one you like. I love their k-pop roll. And if you like your meat raw on sushi…you MUST try their masa special roll. Every bite of this roll took me to some place in heaven! The only feedback I have for them is their sushi size could be smaller. Too big to fit in my mouth in one go.“
“Love this place for when I really want to treat my family to something special. I had Spanish mackerel sushi which was was smooth and buttery. The waitress suggested the banh-something roll and I was quite pleased with the flavor... the spicy little kick at the end was good and not too spicy. The only hiccup was that the waitress forgot to put my mom's order in, so unfortunately it came much later, but I'm still eating it a 5 stars because the manager took care of it right away and the waitress did a great job otherwise, from answering all our questions, seeming very knowledgeable, and asking if we were there for a special occasion; it was my son's birthday and the free mochi dessert was a lovely touch ?“
“We have sat in and had a team party catered. The food was great and service was great. We ordered 26 burritos, beans, rice, chips & salsa. The boys talked about how good the burritos were. Price was good and well worth it. I have a new favorite Mexican restaurant in “
“This is our #1 place for sushi. Love the cozy little atmosphere. Jake and Hana are amazing! They know our names, and the names of our kids, and always ask about them when we sneak in for date night sushi without the kids. Jake is always coming up with new rolls and lets us try them. They work very hard to make sure everyone is happy. Absolutely recommend!“
“Incredibly fresh sushi and reallly delicious! The staff is so kind and super attentive. This is the best sushi in this area hands down. I think about it for days after and cant wait to come back.Kid-friendliness: I brought my son and they treated him super well.“
“The sushi is great! I love the Jessica Roll and the yakisoba is sooo good too! I have been going here for years! The food is always fresh and I've never received a wrong order or a missing item. I love that they take pickup orders a half hour before opening as well!“
“I was here for a private event which the owners were kind enough to open for a friends private birthday party. We got to enjoy their very interesting mix of different foods and they were all amazingly good. I don't throw out the 5's too often but the ribs and lamb lollipops were a big surprise and tasty our group devoured them. The sushi and rolls were fresh and very good and the mexican shrimp tacos were very good Overall great friendly owners who appear to be like family in the neighborhood.“
“The staff heer is great! They were so helpful. The waitress was very attentive and the service was very fast. The only down side is that they did not have a place for my family and I to wait while a table became available so we were standing in the entryway for about 10 minutes. Other than that, this place is great! The sushi is fresh and the service is fantastic!“
“I was at a brunch for a political organization. The buffet they offered was outstanding and delicious. After our meeting was over, I noticed the place was jumping with lots of locals coming in for lunch. The view of the lake is breathtaking, and it was just an overall terrific experience.“
“Wish I could give this place a 5 star due to this being my favorite sushi in the area but they are receiving 4 stars as they usually take long when I order takeout. I've gone multiple times and ordered takeout and every time I'm told that it will be 15 minutes but they usually take anywhere around 30-45 min. My favorite roll is the lobster roll and the dynamite you can't go wrong with any sushi roll here overall such a great place I hope to change my review in the future to 5 stars if they can get the timing right.“
“Everyone that works in the restaurant was very very friendly!! The food was exceptionally fresh and delicious! Makes my mouth water just doing this review..drool, drool. I thought the prices were quite reasonable..especially with the ambiance!I will be back again and again! Don't miss out!... and tell them James sent you...I just might be there when you are!Parking: easy parking“
“We tried lots of different dishes and all were excellent! Rice chicharron, chicken karaage, vegetable gyoza, were great starters. All of the nigiri was fresh and delicious. We also had the sakura and chokoreeto desserts with peppermint tea and they were both fantastic as well!“
“I've been here several times and it's always great. They have a good sized menu with options for all you can eat or regular dining. We go for the sushi, but their teriyaki chicken is quite good too. My favorites are the salmon sashimi, eel hand rolls, crunch roll, and the dynamite (roll or appetizer.) I'm not sure how their AYCE prices compare with other places, but we always get our money's worth and have the best time. Service is prompt and friendly.“
“Great food, friendly service, chill atmosphere. We come in once a week, dad is handicapped and they are super accommodating. We love it.Wheelchair accessibility: Dad has a walker and he has no issue getting in, they make sure there's a spot to comfortably sit. A+“
“It looks like this is a new place now... the outside name still says Thousand Wok but the menu is completely different... it says Ling Long it has no lunch specials and is pretty high up in price. I was looking forward to some pho but that does not exist here. Too bad The food was very good though“
“If you want the best of small family Japanese restaurants, please do not go here. So good , the best of many. I always get the Blue fin Tuna, Always Happy. I go with my Sister and Brother in Law any chance we can get together and we have never had any problem, top Notch Family Sushi ! Don't go there, too crowded go away..... or not..Smooches....“
