“I have been a very happy customer for many years. Although I’m not typically someone who leaves reviews on social media, this time I felt compelled to do so. Mimi, the restaurant manager, was exceptionally accommodating and attentive. I highly recommend Sumo!!!“

“I’m so glad I found this place. Yes it is the BEST sushi in Conejo Valley. The chef knows his fish. We got most of the specials on the board which were mostly from Japan. I will say that it was expensive but so worth it. Maybe stick to the nigiri on the menu and it won’t cost so much. But I’m so glad I do not have to drive into LA for great sushi. I’m a fan.“

“I just went for a 2nd time last night (1st time was last year) and oh my gosh this place is awesome! not only is the food absolutely delicious and there's a huge variety of things you could get but the service is fantastic and the servers and owner- a young lady we met, are all so nice and helpful and considerate. Throw in the prices are so reasonable compared to many. I so wish there was one closer to my home over on the west side of L.A.,. but I'll just have to make the trip more often!“

“The sushi is good, the beer and wine selection are not, though the wine that *is* offered is high quality. Service was a bit slow this time around (sat at the sushi bar). The prices are ok, not notably inexpensive, but again, the sushi is decent.“

“I've been driving by that Sushi Planet sign on the 101 as long as I can remember... At least 26 years, and I've never stopped in, until now!
After a long trash weekend my wife and I stopped by on a Sunday for a good meal and a rise in spirits and Sushi Planet delivered.
The space is cozy and appropriately dim, with cool trimmings like dark painted wood and decor that give it a Japanese architecural vibe insie. A lot of the staff was speaking Japanese to each other too I believe. There was moderate volume kpop and jpop music playing in the fairly busy dining room for a late lunch or early dinner. The staff was perfectly friendly and we got a comfy table, got drinks, and started our big order.
I got a new special roll, the golden roll I believe, yellowtail Nigiri, sea scallop Nigiri, a California roll order and for dessert some seaseme chicken. The special roll was delicious, hearty, creamy, rich, and warm with a great contrast of textures. The Nigiri was above average with the yellow tail pierces being much larger than I usually get at other places but still a great texture, flavor, and odor. The sea scallop was savory, slightly salty, and so soft and creamy mixed with the Kewpie. The California roll was very solid and nothing special. The seaseme chicken was hot, crunchy, and not dry or over fried and went great with the sort of honey-mustardy spicy mayo seaseme sauce.
All this with our drinks (3 orders of yellowtail Nigiri augmented cost) came out a little under $100 which is fairly normal and in the mid cost range of sushi spots were we're from. The quality of food and service was lovely and if we're ever passing through again hungry for good sushi we'll be back!“

“4 of us came here for lunch to celebrate our coworker's birthday. Surprised to find we were the only ones there. Most of us opted for 3 item combo - the soup was ok, tofu tasted a bit weird, salad was good, the sushi I got were delicious and filling, the tempura was tasty too albeit greasy. Service was minimal and we were the only ones there, we had to ring the bell a couple of times for service. The place itself is outdated and could use some sprucing up. The table felt sticky and bench didn't have much support for the backside“

“Sea Butter in Westlake Village is hands down my favorite sushi spot in the area! The sushi is always incredibly fresh, and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. My absolute favorite is the Emma sushi—it just melts in your mouth. The spicy tuna crispy rice is also amazing. I love coming here with my family and always have a great experience. If you’re looking for top-quality sushi and great service, this is the place to go!“

“I went to Sushi Planet a few weeks ago for the first time. I had a great experience. The sushi is delicious and uses fresh, high quality ingredients. They have many different options and included many specials. The staff is friendly and attentive, they made the experience very pleasant. They even did a birthday celebration for my wife and we really appreciated that. If I am in the area and craving sushi I will definitely go back to the Sushi Planet.“

“My husband and I just happened to be in the Thousand Oaks area and found Pokitomik through a google search. We are VERY GLAD we did! The fish is incredibly fresh, great portions, and the owner is the kindest man you’ll ever meet. I’m picky about my poké, but I loved everything about this eatery. 10/10 recommend!“

“Tomodachi is outstanding. The sushi is always fresh and delicious, and the quality is on another level. The sushi chef makes incredible suggestions and every recommendation has been spot on. You can tell how much pride they take in their work with every plate that comes out. If you can, sit at the sushi bar—it makes the experience even better watching the chef create everything right in front of you. This has quickly become one of my favorite sushi spots, and I can’t wait to come back.“

“Ordered the Garlic Ramen with pork (red bowl) and gf got the Shrimp Ramen. Both were very delicious! I give them both 8 out of 10. (I've been to quite a few ramen places this past month so I am a little critical) If you want Ramen definitely check out and I'm very grateful that there's finally a Ramen place in Simi!“

“Such a cute environment. We went around 7pm on a Tuesday and it was pretty empty. We got the jade curry, beef satay, and the west side wontons which were all fire. We also met Pookie herself and she was so sweet. Worth a second visit for sure! I would say new menus or a digital menu would be nice but the menus are cool with the wood and the metal detailing.“

“Go Fish & Sushi has officially become our go-to spot. We’ve made it a tradition to eat here pretty much every Friday, and even when we can't stay, their takeout is just as high-quality and fresh.
Why We Love It:
The Chef’s Specials: We’ve ordered almost every special roll on the menu at this point, and they are consistently delicious. You can tell the fish is fresh and the combinations are well-thought-out.
Generous Portions: Unlike many sushi spots that overcharge for tiny bites, the portions here are very satisfying. You definitely get your money's worth.
Kid-Approved: Our kids absolutely love the Salmon Teriyaki. It’s their favorite spot to go get dinner after gymnastics.
Atmosphere: It is incredibly family-friendly. The staff always makes us feel welcome, which makes dining out with the whole crew much less stressful.
If you’re looking for a reliable, tasty, and welcoming sushi spot, this is it. We’ll see you guys next Friday!“

“This place definitely surprised us! We were very happy to have found such an outstanding restaurant. The restaurant is pretty big and very pretty, we sat at the bar. The sashimi was AMAZING! I wanted to go back everyday :) the roll was not my favorite, but good, the skewers one of them too much garlic sweet sauce. Customer service was great!“

“Food and service were incredible!! First time here and in Siem reap and it didn’t disappoint. We were the last customers and they were so sweet and attentive and the presentation was amazing. I wish I didn’t eat prior to this because I didn’t get a chance to try all the delicious dishes but my bougie significant other loved it and he’s super choosy when it comes to his sushi. We met the chef and such a sweet and humble person. The staff alone are all amazing. Highly recommended and it’s worth every penny!!! Can’t wait when I’m back in Siem Reap so I can stop by. Thank you for your amazing service 💕“

“Wanted to try something new in the area and stumbled upon this place for dinner. Overall it was great as there was a huge menu on the wall and the place was well decorated with lanterns with sakura trees. It’s a place where you would come to for something quick. I dined-in since traveling with a bowl of hot udon isn’t ideal. Service was great!
I ordered the Udon with Tempura Shrimp and asked the person at the cashier what they recommend as an appetizer and he stated that the Potstickers were a usual go-to which is what I got. The price for the udon was fairly priced, but maybe not for the potstickers. However, I do understand the economy so it’s reasonable, I guess…
The udon noodles were nicely textured and had 2 pieces of narutomaki (maybe not enough in my opinion). Wasn’t sure what the other things in the udon was but it melted quick. The tempura shrimp are similar to the ones I get at Costco. I believe I was 75% full after eating that complete meal which is a good percentage.“

“I can’t speak highly enough. Eat a red dragon roll or any roll from here and tell me it’s not the best sushi you’ve ever had. You don’t need soy sauce, eel sauce, the flavors in the prep and nobody does it better. They could slap me in the face every time I ordered and I’d still come back, say thank you and give this place 5 stars. What an absolute game changer.“

“Hikari is a neighborhood sushi bar with very fresh fish and fair prices. The albacore sashimi melted in my mouth, and the spicy tuna crispy rice was one of the best I’ve had. Service is quick and friendly, and the chef always greets you. It’s not flashy, but the food is better than many places in LA. Great for a chill weekday sushi dinner“

“We will not return. SOME staff is just too volatile & moody & rude. We have been going here often. The last straw was last Monday at 4:30 pm when the rude Korean waitress Sylvia (?) refused to seat us in the closest booths ( "No those are for employees "🤔) and then refused us another booth because we were only two people. Mind you we've sat at every booth many times every time because of our back issues. Even though I have a cane, she often makes us wait when the place is clearly dead. The only pleasant staff is Manny, Vanessa & the nice female Hispanic bus person. But Sylvia & the very gruff Chinese woman act like they are doing you a huge favor. I have overlooked their rudeness before, but this was it for us. Perhaps she doesn't like people line me with canes. We will go to Kyoto instead or Hai Sushi we do not need to be treated rudely.“

I had their Miso Soup, Spring Greens Salad, 911 Roll, Lobster Roll, Shrimp Tempura, Fresh Water Eel, Spicy Scallop Hand Roll, Garlic Edamame, Yellowtail Sushi, and Salmon Sushi. And it was as it always is, fresh and delicious!!!! Definitely Simi Valley's best sushi restaurant!!!“

“I’ve been coming to Cho Cho Son for a long time now and I don’t know why it has taken me this long to leave a review. The food is great, service is good, pricing is reasonable, and it’s always consistent and that earns them at five star for me. They have always treated me well. I would even argue it is better than Benihanas. I highly recommend Cho Cho Son.“

“Great local sushi place. Sushi prices were average and the food and presentation was above average. I have eaten sushi at almost the majority of places in Thousand oaks area (not to mention in every city I visit) and this is a top notch place even though its a small place. The service is awesome, everyone pitched in and were timely and appropriate with their service. Sushi chefs were friendly and helpful. Will make this my go to from now on“
