“Too small space not convenient to eat...food is ok...you can find the quality of taste in a very convenient table in other sushi places...there is no nearest sushi in Calabasas other than this locationParking: Brunch and lunch a long waitWheelchair accessibility: None here“
“The true star of Sushi Nishi is, of course, the food. The sushi here is a work of art. The fish was incredibly fresh and the rice was perfectly seasoned, striking a harmonious balance that showcased the chef's expertise. Each piece of sushi melted in my mouth, leaving me craving for more. The menu also offered a variety of traditional and innovative rolls, which catered to both sushi purists and those looking for a unique twist on classic flavors.I also had the opportunity to try the sashimi, which was as equally outstanding as the sushi. The slices of raw fish were expertly cut and the presentation was simply exquisite. Additionally, the miso soup and seaweed salad were flavorful complements to the main course.“
“We have loved this place since we lived in the neighborhood years ago and had the pleasure of dining in more recently. The food is still as fantastic as we remembered. Our favorites are the cucumber sunomono, classic nigiri, and this crispy albacore roll. Everything was just as good as we remembered. Its position in a grocery store mall seems a little out of place, but it is definitely worth the drive, and the views in the area are gorgeous, too.“
“Probably my favorite place to eat. The food is delicious, creative, and beautiful to look at. The staff are professional and friendly. I've been following the chef for close to twenty years now, from Chiba to Asanebo to his own restaurant, and he's destined to become a name in the sushi business. Excellent fish. Great taste. Outstanding menu, both in terms of selection and preparation. A must-visit restaurant for the sushi lover who wants to see some new ideas.“
“Food is absolutely delicious, as others have said, it's so "real" looking and tasting you have to re-read the "100% Vegan" on the menu to convince yourself. All 6 staff members we encountered were incredibly friendly and seemed to genuinely like being there. Nice, quiet atmosphere allowed for conversation. Overall exemplary experience and I can't wait to go back!“
“Tried this for the first time, it was so so good. Love the amount of options they offer and the person who helped us was very friendly, talkative, and patient. He also made sure to let us know about the student discount which I appreciated.“
“Great food! Great service! Very welcoming atmosphere.I had the Giant Scallop Sashimi followed up with their Topanga Roll. The scallop was wonderfully prepared and a joy to look at as much as it was a joy to eat.My Topanga roll was fantastic!Washed this all down with an ice cold Asahi and a hot saki. Will definitely return to try some more items off the menu... Im thinking curry... next time?We will be back!“
“Fantastic service great vibe. Food was good a little above average. They are a cantina but DO NOT serve alcohol. They said they will be soon but as of our visit they did not. The pork belly was amazing and the best dish we had. The quest fundido was delicious but the addition of chorizo would have made it over the top delicious. The Asada is not a traditional Carne Asada. It was a bit chewy and I would not get it again. The breakfast tacos were delicious. You can't go wrong giving this place a try and maybe you'll enjoy the asada more than we did. I will definitely be back once they open the bar and give other items a try.“
“My husband and I had the pleasure to dine in last night. We are from Glendale but had to make a drive out there and decided to stop here since the reviews were so good and the food or service did not disappoint! We got there about 40 mins before they closed but we were welcomed and not rushed to order or eat. We got 3 rolls and miso soups and it was all tasty! Other than that the service was amazing! We didn't get the name of the lady that served us but she was very nice and attentive. She was also kind to the chef which says a lot in my opinion. She said she was the relative of the owner but by her awesome service we really thought she was the owner. Love this place will come back.“
“There are a lot of restaurants with a unique backdrop but perhaps none quite like Go's Mart. Generally speaking would not expect a high end omakase in a nondescript and older strip mall but the adventure continues as then enter into an actual small market and walk all the way to the back where the the sushi is actually set up. This has to be one of the most unique locations as it feels more like a pop-up than established location. The service is minimalist but efficient. The chef is friendly if not talkative and will provide prompt instructions. There is a rather pricey bottle of shoyu (aka soy sauce) placed in front of you but was never utilized (some chefs do not mind if you use it but others are more particular almost as if a test). The chef tends to use gold flakes as his trademark but is for aesthetics vs taste. Highlights include the seared dishes as well as the uni and one of the last places which will offer high quality sweet shrimp and then ask if you would like to serve the head as part of a soup or fried like a cracker. Overall, a solid if not spectacular choice for omakase in perhaps one of the most hidden and off the beaten path spots.“
“I'm not sure where to start. I'm a sushi snob no doubt. LA has great sushi at all price levels. At the high end, you have to be unique and have the best ingredients. Sushi Iki which only does omakase does it better than just about anybody in town. Eddie, the owner and chef, is 79 with the energy of a 19 year old and he knows his fish. Be prepared to try new things, sir back and watch Eddie work his magic. If you want more info on anything you're eating, he'll tell you. If you want to treat yourself to some of LA's top sushi, don't miss this Michelin rated, one man show! An LA treasure for sure!“
“I knew we were in for some amazing sushi when I was told by the hostess that they didn't serve California Rolls because this was a true Japanese restaurant. The sushi (mostly nigiri and Masa-san made an exception for us in preparing a maki:) was amazing and the ambiance is laid back yet traditional without the garish/pretentious frou-frou. We regret not doing the omakase but there's definitely going to be a next time.“
“Yummy is all I have to say about Izakaya K! Everything is SO fresh and delicious! My husband and I come here often for drinks & amazing dinner, it never disappoints! My favorite is their salmon, it is fresh and almost melts in your mouth. The service is friendly and server is always very attentive. They do not do dine in during lunch and a reservation is required for dinner. But it is definitely worth it!“
“I had gone to aguachilles sushi and had the miso it tasted like tap water super disgusting. Kept wanting to try this place. Really glad I did my boys love the miso and the food is delicious! Definitely coming back! You have to try the whole menu so good! Thank you for treating my babies so well!“
“This place is authentic, clean and serves exceptional, quality fish. The waitresses are personal and impress happiness and joy. This is our new spot- finally found one! Try the habanero sauce on anything if you like true spice (not just Siracha).Dietary restrictions: No rice rolls, no fish rolls if requested, cooked and raw options.Kid-friendliness: Accommodating to kids.“
“Beachside restaurant with great food and impeccable service, and the ambience can't be beat. You must try their "KUROZATO" dessert, so delicious. Only down point is that for vegetarians there are only 2 Sushi options which has average taste. In terms of reservations, it's hard to get but sometimes they do accept walk-ins.“
“This our new go to Sushi place. The fish is always fresh, the food is delicious and affordable. The staff is always very friendly. The only negative I could say is the decor is very blah. But the food and service more than make up for it. I ordered the Togyu special, Toro sashimi and seared Wagyu sashimi, and a roll, my wife had the Spicy Tuna on crispy rice, amazing.“
“The food was fantastic and I went before dinner rush so it wasn’t too busy. The staff were still looking for ways to serve and clear our table of any dishes instead of standing around which some people do at other restaurants when it’s slow. The tables were pretty close together so if you don’t like having your conversations overheard this might be a tight space, but I would definitely go back for the food and the service.“
“So Sushi is So So off the hook good. They closed the So Sushi Also location and are opening a brand new store across the Parking lot of their Tarzana store!Their service is fantastic! Their fish super fresh. Things to try: So Just Eat-A, Salmon and scallop sushi are a must.“
“I celebrated my birthday here at Aikan with my family. We came around 530pm and had to wait to be seated, but when I explained our seating situation, the host, Natalie, was very accommodating to us as we had a child with a stroller and a family member who was using a wheelchair. This place got packed and we were seated up front near the entrance but also out of the way as to not bother anyone. It was perfect. Once we were seated, she was also kind enough to take the time to explain the menu and how to order. Our waiter, Tu, was also very helpful and considerate towards our family. Other staff came quite frequently to make sure to pick up any empty plates also. The food portions were a lot so if it's your first time, I advise to make your first round light so you can decide if you'll be able to eat more or not. We chose the premium menu and recommend the soft shell crab, squid legs and most of all, the oysters. We all agreed and thought the oysters were the most fresh we've had of all the sushi restaurants we've gone to. Even our drinks felt crisp and delicious. Highly recommend this spot for AYCE sushi! Small bonus is that it's right around the corner from the new Porto's location!“
“1/09/2024The Ramen was superb. Natalie was nice and the place was very clean. The environment had good vibes. The price was more affordable than the other place I have been. I will defenitely come back and try other stuff. My overall experiebce was top notch.“
“Food here is solid. I ordered to-go and for a quick dinner night with my 3 yo daughter. What we got: Salmon Skin Salad, Blue crab roll, avocado roll. All of it was pretty good. The salad was tasty, but I didn't really enjoy the salad dressing it comes with. The blue crab roll was oozing with crab. Nicely done. The avocado roll had big chunks of avocado making this one solid too. I would return. Not necessarily in a hurry, but for a night when I'm in a pinch and want something quick, healthy-ish and ok for me and the little. Sorry I didn't get any pictures of our food before we ate it. Presentation was however great too.“
“Came here on a Sunday. Come close to opening as it tends to fill up fast. They have really good fresh fish. We got mostly nigiri and really enjoyed everything we tried. It’s a little pricey but that’s to be expected when you’re getting nigiri/sashimi cuts. Will definitely come back!“
“Jo & Go is one of the best kept secrets for fast, affordable sushi in the Valley. It's located inside the Korean market Greenland. Nothing fancy, take-out only. The sushi rolls are big, and the bowls even more so. I recommend the salmon bowl if you just want salmon sashimi over rice. You get a lot of salmon. If I want something lighter, I get the hwedupbap bowl, which is essentially a sashimi salad. It comes with a side of white rice, gochuchang sauce, and miso soup. For rolls, I like the Dragon Roll and Rainbow Roll. This is the perfect place to pick up lunch or dinner on your way home. Call ahead to place your order, and food is ready in 10-15min. Cash/credit card accepted. The place is run by a very friendly Korean couple. I just wish they were open later (they close at 7:30pm).“
“Food quality and service have improved dramatically in the past two years. Exceptional sushi/sashimi, reasonable prices, and quality service. The sushi selection additionally has expanded over the past two years with regular offerings of amberjack/kampachi, red snapper, and black snapper. Always extremely fresh and very tasty!“
“Megu Sushi is the best sushi I've had in the last 10 year in and around Los Angeles. Everything is thoughtfully and delicately prepared. Chef Willy has some amazing sushi specials and rolls. I usually go for the 911 roll and the oaks roll. His 911 roll is the best I've ever had. He sushi cuts are nice and thin and everything melts in your mouth. Since moving to Simi Valley, this has quickly become my go-to spot. Amazing happy hour specials too! Make sure to check those out.“
“Wonderful neighborhood restaurant! The food is excellent and the prices are fair. Everyone truly enjoying their meals and their time there. Large screen TV showing sporting events, on mute. Two sections for large group dining created some fun memories with family and friends. Staff is kind, friendly, and patiently answers any questions while taking orders. We found a keeper and are looking forward to our next meal there, be it lunch or dinner. I'm In!“
“This place is so legit. All of our dishes were out of this world yum. We had crispy tuna cut roll, spam musubi, chicken pho, chicken larb, and the Mongolian beef noodles. You have to come and try this place. We're definitely coming back.“
“Everything is very delicious, the food is Mazatlan Sinaloa style, we always buy the breaded sushi, Aguachile Negro Tacos Gobernador and the Empanadas, all very delicious. The owners are very friendly and take care of you as it should be. 100% “

“Whenever I visit this place with my family, we are always impressed by the excellent service, the elegant presentation, and the delicious food. The dishes are prepared and served promptly, without compromising on quality. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience.“
“My son decided to treat me to dinner this past Sunday. Knowing that I love sushi and am very particular about it, he chose this restaurant. He had heard great things about it. What he heard was true! This place was a hidden gem.The first thing that I noticed was that even though it was in a little shopping center, the parking was plentiful and the spaces offered plenty of room. I am always nervous about getting my car scratched in tight spaces and I did not need to worry about that.As we walked in, we were immediately seated. The atmosphere was very nice. It was well lit, which I enjoy because it makes it easier for me to read the menu and see the food. I also enjoyed the fact that it was not loud. We were able to carry on a conversation even though there were many other patrons there. The waitress was always available, yet never hovering. We selected several rolls and my son chose some nigiri. I am not usually a fan of nigiri. I tend to prefer rolls with their toppings and sauces. My son suggested that we share all of the dishes. I agreed, but thought that I would not really like the nigiri. Well, I was wrong. The nigiri at Mutsumi Sushi was AMAZING! I loved the toppings and flavoring on each one. The flavors were subtle, but distinct. I was actually blown away. I will no longer avoid nigiri...at least at this restaurant.I was getting full after our first round of food, but it was so delicious that we ordered more. That was equally as delicious. Two of my favorite rolls were the Cajun Deluxe Roll and the Chatsworth Roll. We topped our meal off with some Tempura Ice Cream. It was the perfect ending to a perfect meal! I will definitely be returning to this lovely restaurant.“
“The atmosphere was super intimate and chef was super friendly and attentive. Every dish is a work of art that please ur eyes and palate. Beautiful and delicious. I would totally go again and recommend everyone to at least try once! Thank you chef!“
“Amazing sushi hidden gem. The fish is incredibly fresh. I usually do not eat sashimi my friend is a local and he recommended I tried and I'm glad I did. tuna Toro, tuna belly, salmon scallops were all wonderful. On weekends they have music. They do sake time shots.Parking: Small parking in front“
“What I got: 10/10: Sushi Lunch Special - $22 Tatsuki is hands down one of my favorite places for sushi! It's a small restaurant located in Woodland Hills that you can easily miss driving by. There is bar and regular table seating available, with a large parking lot in the back. The staff is always kind and attentive too. For the sushi lunch special, I got salmon, black snapper, and kanpachi. I also recommend the yellowtail! I usually don't like spicy tuna rolls, but the one here is my favorite and a absolute must try. The fish is always fresh and the quality is amazing. Overall, I highly recommend Tatsuki especially during lunch. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Total: 5/5“
“I've been coming here for 20 years. It's gotten a little pricey, but great food. I almost always order my usual, a club sandwich with added shredded cheese, fries and a drink, now just over $21. I hear the sushi is good here, but haven't tried it yet.“
“We LOVE Blue Ribbon, especially this location - food and outdoor ambiance is great - staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and offer great suggestions - Pacific palisades is such a communal area and this spot encourages friendly chats among with other guests.“
“Got takeout for a late office dinner. This place was so good! Their tamago is amazing! the salmon nigiri was simple, but tasty and the scalop nigiri was soooo tender. Didn't love the halibut nigiri, but that is okay. The rest totally made up for it (especially the tamago)!“
“A return visit to Yogi Grill did not disappoint!! The veggie roll was topped with a generous amount of fresh avocado and the chili edamame are a delicious treat. The service is friendly and efficient, and we really appreciate the option for half rolls for a light lunch or small appetite.“
“Absolutely enjoyed the service we got from Joseph and Julia , they are the best servers!very generous food portions , we were full , had leftovers to bring home.I ordered a combo meal of Sesame chicken and tempura shrimp and veggies, came with soup, salad and white rice.“
“we've been coming here for years!!!!14+ years. we now travel from the av to northridge to get our sushi fix. always get the bcr extra sauce, oysters, 7 lgs sakes, etc. food always amazing, service always on point. when you go there ask for gemgem. love you guys, keep up the great work. tell mama the twiins said hi!“
“Love this place for when I really want to treat my family to something special. I had Spanish mackerel sushi which was was smooth and buttery. The waitress suggested the banh-something roll and I was quite pleased with the flavor... the spicy little kick at the end was good and not too spicy. The only hiccup was that the waitress forgot to put my mom's order in, so unfortunately it came much later, but I'm still eating it a 5 stars because the manager took care of it right away and the waitress did a great job otherwise, from answering all our questions, seeming very knowledgeable, and asking if we were there for a special occasion; it was my son's birthday and the free mochi dessert was a lovely touch ?“
“Sushi Raku in Agoura Hills is an absolute gem! Their exquisite sushi selection, paired with an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, truly elevates the dining experience. The freshest, high-quality ingredients combined with the artful presentation make every dish a delight to the senses. Their Spicy Tuna Tempura roll and Raku Crunch roll were spectacular!! The wait-staff ensure a seamless dining experience. Sushi Raku is a must-visit for any sushi aficionado!“
“This a nice spot for sushi in this neighbourhood with clean environment. The food was superb on my first visit. And continued to be nice on my other visits. However on the delivery the food didn't feel as good on everything in the order. Service is good too, very accommodating and they always check if everything is good. They have great food selection, however the albacore lover with onion chips on top is always a winner.“
“This place is that your definition of a hole in the wall. It's a cute little restaurant with really great service and shockingly excellent sushi! I went in there for lunch one day not expecting much and left a fan. I can't tell you how many times I've been back since! I consider myself to be pretty bougie when it comes to sushi and this place meets all my needs. Shout out to the sushi chefs, Fiat, Tom, & Tan!!If you're picky you won't be disappointed. Unbelievably fresh sushi, amazing quality, and let's not forget they put the plates out with beautiful presentation!! I highly recommend I tend to order some of the more expensive stuff but they have a menu that will suit any budget!“
“Best deal for AYCE sushi around. They have their own parking lot with street parking available. The food was decent. The rolls with fried toppings were over battered for my liking. I wasn’t a fan of the salmon skin either. We ordered a ton of nigiri which was great and so little rice compared to other places. Lots of appetizers included as well. I was pleasantly surprised that the beef teriyaki was actually tender and not well done. The baked muscles weren’t anything to rave about, but still okay. I would go again when in the area.“
“Incredibly fresh sushi and reallly delicious! The staff is so kind and super attentive. This is the best sushi in this area hands down. I think about it for days after and cant wait to come back.Kid-friendliness: I brought my son and they treated him super well.“
“Food was amazing. Price is really good, especially considering how good the food was. Service was ok but it was fairly busy and the place is relatively small so I think they may have been a bit overwhelmed. We eat a lot of sushi and were pleasantly surprised that there is such a good place at reasonable money near where we live. It's not fancy but it's great - definitely give them a chance and try it out.“
“Northridge Eats is one of the BEST places I have ever gone to. My son loves the Bellyful chicken. He said that he loved the seasoning. and my daughter said that MEEDEE fried rice was soo good. I wish something like Northridge Eats opened in London.“
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bree was our server at Sugarfish by Nozawa, and she made our dining experience truly memorable! Her infectious laughter and witty humor added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. Bree's outstanding service and delightful personality made us feel welcome and relaxed throughout. We can't wait to return for more sushi and laughter with Bree!“
