“Walked in during luch hours on a Sunday and was immediately met with warmth from the hostess. Sat at the sushi counter, ordered Sapporo, sushi, fish collar, rolls e.t.c.
Staff is profesdional and courteous, food is exceptionally good, and atmosphere is light, friendly, with nice playlist on the background. They also have a small TV for sports and events. I totally enjoyed this place.

“Both lunch and dinner service are quick which is rare when a place is this busy. Waitstaff and the chefs are working hard which created a great atmosphere.

The fish selection changes daily but they did have otoro and amaebi while I was there.

The restaurant fills up really quickly and there was a wait every time I was there so being a little early is advised.“

“Leo is the best chef. So kind, personable, and knows his sushi. He makes just about everything from his ginger to his soy sauce from scratch even though he’ll tell you, “no soy sauce” for most of the sushi that comes as it should be eaten. Best sushi restaurant on Ventura Blvd by far. Make sure to try his dry aged fish!

“We tried the Dine LA course and it was our favorite Dine LA experience by far! We enjoyed all of the different food items and the portions were quite generous. Our favorites were the Brussels sprouts, salmon dry miso, tempura shrimp, Kobe black pepper, salmon truffle roll and butter cake. Our reservation was at 6pm and even though we didn’t dine at the bar, they allowed us to order the Fusion cocktail with the happy hour price.

Definitely try the kiss me roll, its the favorite of which I have tried. Furthermore, Shin does his best to impress every customer, while describing the dish and even showing pictures of the fish prior to preparing. The omakase fee is extremely competitive and the saki list is top notch. All items are seasonal and well chosen by the chef. You will probably taste some seafood that you have never tasted before. “Masa-san serves chef's choice, and the food is fresh and delicious. Eating here is an extremely delightful experience. The sweet shrimp with eggs is one of my favorites. Always finish your meal with at least 1 (maybe 2 or ...) of his blue crab rolls. The crab is carefully hand-pulled, the rice is warm, and the seaweed is crisp. You won't find that combination of quality and easy dining experience anywhere else in the Valley. Please try it!“

“(Tldr below) The freshness of the chirashi sushi fish was not bad for the price ($40), but the overall seasoning was disappointing. It wasn't right or too strong (white fish yuzu pepper sauce, bitter cucumber, too sweet seaweed, etc.), the fishy smell from the red fish or shrimp wasn't completely gone, or it felt like it would have been better if the rice itself was moist and delicious... While eating this. I was satisfied with the fact that I was eating raw fish that was better than supermarket sushi for the price, but I was disappointed that I didn't feel like I was eating delicious food. I only wrote about what was disappointing, but the fish was still good, so I think I'll go again if it can be supplemented.

“The service was really good and the 15 course omakase is offered for a great price. Do the math, $95 for 15 plates of high quality food = amazing. I loved the crispy avocado rice dish, the coconut cream Japanese risotto, crab hand roll, and the miso brownie. The watermelon nigiri and other nigiris were my least favorite out of everything, but all of the food was enjoyable. This is an easy 5 stars and the best food I've had in LA.
