“Nozawa Bar was a great experience and we left very very very full. We booked a month ahead by phone and paid upfront. It's about $225 per person, and with drinks and tax, the bill totaled around $600. There were around 22 courses including dessert. The dishes were incredibly fresh and tasty. The most memorable courses were the Hokkaido Octopus, New Zeland Pink Lobster, Bluefin Tuna Akami, Santa Barbara Uni, Japanese Kinmedai, and the 3 different type of oysters (Kumiai, Kumamoto, Kusshi). There were however a few courses towards the end of the whole dinner that felt like filler pieces such as the Tamago, Maine Lobster, and Japanese Anago (sea eel) nigiri. I could have gone without those courses and felt the menu was a little overpacked. At then end, they gave us a passion fruit sorbet and hojicha tea which was the perfect way to end the dinner. Chef Fujita, his sous chefs, and the staff were very kind and lively. Dinner was very interactive because Chef Fujita made a lot of jokes and interacted with everyone. Dinner setting is also intimate as it is only 10 seats. Overall, great experience and would definitely come back!“

“This place from the moment you walk in the front door is beyond amazing! They’ve done an amazing job of setting one heck of secluded Tulum vibe but while being in the thick of it all. No detail was left out from the lush landscaping and impeccable design throughout to the delicious food and cocktail menu topped off with incredible service. Every bite was simply amazing and irresistible. Great fish quality, not a single piece was questionable in appearance, texture, taste; the quality was delicious.The assorted tempura was crunchy, the batter didn’t disintegrate when you dipped it and didn’t break up when you were biting it. A delicious batter that kept its integrity and highlighted the beauty of each ingredient being used. Loved having a tempura mushroom and the white fish was a unique and different touch.The nigiri- where the begin. All of it was delicious. For a party of two, we each walked away with eating $190 each which is a lot for how much we ordered truthfully but because the quality of the food was better that majority of the places we had, it was worth it and can’t wait to go back. No alcohol either. It was a treat to eat here and treat ourselves. The most delectable and fragile scallops that just melt in your mouth, the albacore was a dance in your mouth as well as anything else that had a drop of yuzu on it. Ended my experience with uni and it was pure velvet. The most underwhelming item I ate was a spicy tuna since I was genuinely curious but I wouldn’t order that again and just stick with nigiri.Each nigiri order is 1 piece and sashimi is 2 pieces. However my lemon roll was not as good as the other dishes. The spicy tuna was overly spicy and it took away the flavor of the entire dish. The size surprised me positively though, it was much bigger than rolls in other places. The fish was fresh and the proportion with rice was good too. I would definitely come back.“

“Pretty good, you can get a decent variety for a more affordable price with the set menus (5, 6 piece). We got the Nozie, you can ask the server what it includes because it might vary, but ours included eel, yamaimo, uni, salmon, and a couple of others. They were all solid, my one critique would be that there could be more of the fillings to really get more of a taste of them.The rice and seaweed were great, they make each hand roll fresh after you eat the previous one so the seaweed doesn't get soggy which is really considerate for a consistent experience.“

The half-sized tempura udon was perfect for me; I wasn't super hungry at the time and don't usually eat a lot anyway, so it filled me up without leaving me feeling stuffed.Came here while waiting for doors to open for a show at the Largo. I got there relatively early, just after 6pm, which turned out to be good because it seemed like they filled up with all of the theatre-goers who were evidently also waiting for doors open.I had a bit of a wait after I ordered, maybe around 10-15 minutes, max. One of the servers saw me looking around and proactively told me it was because they were making all of the udon orders together; I appreciated how attentive they were, to notice that I was wondering about my order.
