“We went here while visiting LA last week and it was by far the best sushi we've ever had. Every dish was better than the last. Our personal favorite was the tuna crispy rice. We had to get a couple orders of it.. that good.
The restaurant is a little tight, but it was an amazing experience nonetheless. First on the list when we’re back in LA.“

“This is absolutely my favorite sushi restaurant in LA and I have been back now 10 times. I have lived here for 3 years and was looking for a fresh, well made sushi joint and finally found it. The owner is so kind and welcomes you upon walking in. I always get the miso soup, crispy rice and albacore fried onion roll. Everything is cooked to perfection and so flavorful. The ambiance is lovely with 1950s jazz playing and quick service. I cannot give this restaurant enough praise. Highly recommend!!“

“I could eat here everyday. It’s a chill place to have dinner or lunch at. I have never had a bad experience here. It’s had to not order the chicken katsu curry Everytime.
Parking: Very small and tight lot. I usually get a spot very quick but I do get concerned about how close I am to other cars. Hard to get in and out.“

“I've been going to this Ramen spot for a couple of years now, and in my opinion this is the best ramen I've had. I've been to places in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, but I think this place comes out on top.
If you are looking for one of the best bowls of ramen you can get this place will not disappoint.“

“Kazu Hand Roll Bar is a must-visit for sushi lovers! Whether you're dining solo or on a date, the cozy atmosphere and friendly, efficient staff make it a great spot. They’re quick to respond and serve food at your pace—always fresh. A side tip: they won’t serve the next roll until you finish the one you’re eating, ensuring each roll is as fresh as possible. The 4-hand roll set is my go-to. It can get busy with first-come, first-served seating, but it’s worth the wait. Just be aware that parking can be a bit tough to find.“

“Leo is the best chef. So kind, personable, and knows his sushi. He makes just about everything from his ginger to his soy sauce from scratch even though he’ll tell you, “no soy sauce” for most of the sushi that comes as it should be eaten. Best sushi restaurant on Ventura Blvd by far. Make sure to try his dry aged fish!
Parking: There are a few spots behind the restaurant.“

“So glad to finally tried this place, I don't have to drive to Ktown when I have the cravings for Korean food. I was skeptical but I had to try this place at least once. I went there with my daughter for lunch, ordered kimchee fried rice, kimche jjigae and port katzu. The portions were good and the taste was pretty authentic. Definitely going back. I'm sure their sushi will be pretty good as well as our lunch was.“

“Have been going to this place for yearssss, but it had been awhile, so I ordered on Grubhub for delivery. Got the fried gyoza, crunchy spicy tuna crispy rice appetizer, the Ja-chos (japanese nachos) and the Baked Longo roll. Omg, what a feast!!! Everything was crispy, fresh, flavorful and oh so delicious. I don't even know if i can pick a favorite out of them all, they were all really amazing, but the Longo roll was absolutely superb! The warm langoustine and mushroom "sauce" i don't know if you could call it that, over the sushi roll it comes with was just outstanding. And the Ja-chos again, fresh, flavorful~ the spicy tuna w the avocado and tomato pico de gallo over freshly made house chips and sweet mayo~ omgggg, i could eat that all day!! I will be returning again and again, what a fantastic treat for myself!:D“

“Cool place to eat at with ~20+ bar seats-- no traditional seating here!
Tried a variety of hand rolls, their regular ones were good but my absolute favorite was the HYE, think I could live on those for a straight week haha. For the biggest bang for your buck, stick to the hand rolls.“

“This place is great for lunch I haven't been there in quite a while. Free parking underneath or in the back of the building. They have a lunch special that was good where you get a nice tuna salad, five pieces of sushi miso soup. I'll be back“

“I have been going to Teru Sushi since it opened in 1979 with my family. It was a staple throughout my childhood, and it set the bar for sushi for the rest of my life. as the years progressed, and we moved away from the area, I hadn't been in many many years. When we found ourselves back in the neighborhood, I decided to give my old childhood haunt a visit once again. I am happy to say, everything that made it a ali's Angeles staple for reliable, super high-quality sushi and sashimi , with friendly servers who have pride in the restaurant is exactly as it was as a kid. Our server, clearly took pride in the food that was served, and himself grew up eating at Teru, just like I did, so like me... Has a special love for the place.. Teru sushi survived the pandemic, and remains a Los Angeles foodie treasure for a very good reason. Nostalgia aside, it's still my favorite sushi of anywhere I've ever been, anywhere in the country and beyond. I am grateful to this restaurant for setting my bar so high. I plan on revisiting this childhood favorite again, and much more often.“

“I have eaten here literally hundreds of times in the last 10 years. Sushi stop was definitely the cheapest Sushi anywhere and still good quality but just like everywhere else prices have gone up and that's okay. However the last time I was there was about 3 weeks ago I ordered my normal baked scallop roll and my friend ordered his normal scallop hand roll as well as five or six other items that we always get. We were both pretty sure that we got crab instead of scallop and we voiced our concern with the waitress and then the manager and we were told that it was scallop. Then another person there eating with his girlfriend ordered a scallop hand roll and said the exact same thing. I was too hungry to even care but then after I looked I realized mine was crab also and I have ordered that item hundreds of times. The waitress and the manager did not believe any of us and continued to tell us that it was scallop and not crab which was absolutely impossible. I have not been back since nor has my friend but I plan on going back soon and ordering those items. I hope that it was just a simple mistake. I can't possibly give this place anything except for five stars for food because the food is always good. But in this case I have to give three stars. The service is always good and the atmosphere is fantastic as well as the location. However this situation never got resolved and we got charged, we were in a hurry and just paid. I am going to go back soon and hopefully this will get figured out.“
